Et voila.

This Hut is more of a Bedouin or desert tent than anything too gloomy. We shall supply our our own gloom.

Nice new hut! Just came in to drop off some goodies. DH gone away for the weekend, never been away before so it feels a bit wierd!
Your poor colleague Beansprout , I cant't even begin to imagine that. My DS2 has a gland in his neck which won't go down, they tested him last year for leukaemia - the few days wait for the results was horrendous...thankfully he was fine altho glad is still up.
Duchesse - I would be just like you about DS going away - I don't even like mine going out with DH if I'm not there, I worry too much! (which is why I'm going to robot wars, again, soon...fun)

duchesse · 23/03/2007 17:52

Ooh, Beansprout, I can smack, sideways, frontways, any ways at all. Do not buy the book! Step away from the keyboard!

Thanks for the slap. You're vicious, you are .

Not sure it'll be enough though.

After a year, what do I have to lose?

Would you like a link to the site, so you can laugh for yourselves?

BeckleSpeckledEgg · 23/03/2007 18:03

please!
(secretly wondering whether to buy it herself...)

sideways · 23/03/2007 18:06

beckle and beansprout - just for you.

Don't show that duchesse though!

possibly dodgy book on getting pregnant

beansprout · 23/03/2007 18:11

It's really touching that she chooses to make money out of this magical experience.

When it comes down to it, it can only be more shagging/10ml syringes. I'm almost intrigued. But not quite.

sideways · 23/03/2007 18:12

Ah yes, there's a bit about why she charges in the FAQ section (See, I've done my research!!).

Here it is:

I?ve been surprised that a few people have objected to the fact that I am "selling " my experience. They would prefer that I give the knowledge away for free.
Well may be they have a point there. If I did not charge for the book anybody who wanted it would have access to it and more people in need would be helped and happier. On the surface this way of thinking makes sense (a free book to help the masses).
However the reality is not that simple. Firstly, the simple fact is if I did not charge any money for the book no one would get access to the information, as I could not afford the cost of running the website. You may be surprised at what it costs me to run the site. Therefore if I charged no money, I would go broke, the web-site would close, and I would help no-one.
Secondly I have tested and proven that by using the net I can get the information to more people world wide, quicker and cheaper than any other method. Therefore I can help more people. But it costs money to run.
Finally I don?t apologise for profiting out of a fair exchange. As long as I am providing what I promise (and this is backed by a 100% money back guarantee) I would think that $29 is a very small cost for information on how to have a child. I think that most people would feel that this is a fair exchange as well. Most people are not upset when the doctor charges them for a consultation, or when a store owner changes them for food when they are hungry.
I spent thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours to gather the information in the book. To give all of this for just $29 is surely worth it.

beansprout · 23/03/2007 18:14

You all owe me £10 for the wisdom I have imparted on this thread

BeckleSpeckledEgg · 23/03/2007 18:17

bet it is a diet and positive thoughts thing
maybe we should all club together to buy it and then post the 'secret' on here, myspace and anywhere else we can!

BeckleSpeckledEgg · 23/03/2007 18:18

(am secretly intrigued tho but my DH would go mad if I spent £15 on a secret - even if it did get us a baby)

beansprout · 23/03/2007 18:18

I bet there is a rainbow and a crystal involved too

BeckleSpeckledEgg · 23/03/2007 18:19
Grin
sideways · 23/03/2007 18:20

Cynics, the lot of you

Think I need to get a grip.

BeckleSpeckledEgg · 23/03/2007 18:20

and what about the 'satisfied customer' who is "promoting your book to all"
WTF doesn't she just tell her friends???

beansprout · 23/03/2007 18:21

I just don't see what she is going to add to the wealth of advice already out there. Plus she is a cheeky mare for charging.

BeckleSpeckledEgg · 23/03/2007 18:21

instead of telling them to get the ebook too
(cynical...moi?)

beansprout · 23/03/2007 18:21

I like the made up testimonials.

BeckleSpeckledEgg · 23/03/2007 18:22

think I'll stick with my porrige theory for now (good for hormones apparently). Might try grapefruit juice too - on CD5 am I too late to start it? (with my cycle CD30 wd probably not be too late...)

BeckleSpeckledEgg · 23/03/2007 18:23

BTW - that small piece of info will cost you one glass of baileys each...

beansprout · 23/03/2007 18:23

Um, what's the porridge theory?

BeckleSpeckledEgg · 23/03/2007 18:25

apparently oats are good for your hormones or something.
last year before I got pg I had a fairly regular 38-40 day cycle (marvellous for me!). I was eating porrige about 5 times a week at the time...
probably all b**cks but I'm starting to get to the straw clutching stage!!!

BeckleSpeckledEgg · 23/03/2007 18:26

ps - does grapefruit juice actually work???

beansprout · 23/03/2007 18:27

Apparently. Lots of MNers have found so. I got some this month but didn't start drinking it early enough.

BeckleSpeckledEgg · 23/03/2007 18:30

will get some tomorrow then, anything worth a try! Know I am prob a bit late with it but as last cycle was 69 days am sure it won't matter too much!

sideways · 23/03/2007 18:49

I eat porridge pretty much every morning, but I'm still not pregnant...
