Et voila.

This Hut is more of a Bedouin or desert tent than anything too gloomy. We shall supply our our own gloom.

I can't believe that nobody is around! You don't all have lives offline do you? Personally, am on CD29 and am feeling every single little twinge, ache and pain so don't seem able to stop thinking about my looming period. I feel really rather hacked off - last month I really thought I'd be lucky cos it was my birthday and getting a bfp just before my birthday would have been perfect. Then when that didn't happen I thought that getting a bfp after having spent that weekend in France from CD14-17 would have been perfect. But now that isn't going to happen either. For all you ladies out there who have been ftc for so much longer than me, I really don't know how you do it! Its just like feckin torture!
Tell me, how soon is too soon to discuss with the gp? I have some idea that you are meant to have been trying for a year before consulting your gp. Only having gotten pg twice in the past by accident, then this time pg 3 mths after coil removed (followed by mc) and now 5 mths since mc. It just seems so bloody ironic that now when I really want it, it just isn't happening. I know 5 mths is nothing compared to some people but I just really thought that between me and dp we must have some super-fertile combo going on, and now I'm starting to get a little worried.....

beansprout · 19/05/2007 21:29

How old are you feedme? It's supposed to be after 12 months, unless you are over 35 in which case it is 6 months. That said, I was practically told to bog off when I went after 6 months and I am 37. Luck of the draw I suspect. Why not go anyway and see if you can at least get some reassurance. I have found the sheer length of time some people have had to try for reassuring in itself, but I have to hear it over and over again!!!

feedmenow · 19/05/2007 23:39

I haven't quite made it into the 6 month category then. I just feel sooo disheartened cos I thought it would be so quick and easy. Silly me

duchesse · 20/05/2007 00:58

Beansprout- I was also practically told to bugger off, when I was 37. I'd been trying for two point five sodding years by then, and had achieved precisely nothing. Bloody male useless gp. Am still trying to sum up courage to go back with same complaint 2+ years later.

Feedme - please don't put yourself down. We had ds at the drop of a hat and this is all rather different - there is just no way of knowing. It's not a punishment and there is nothing wrong with assuming that it wouldn't be this hard.

Duchesse - are there any other GPs at your surgery? I am at a group practise and I refuse to see some of the more useless ones if I want anything more than a prescription for Calpol.

feedmenow · 20/05/2007 17:19

Well, my period arrived with a vengeance this morning. I knew it was coming and have felt fine about it all day, but am now "slumping". You know, I never imagined for one moment that I wouldn't be well and truly pg by the time my due date came around, but it is only 10 weeks away now. Thats only 2 more cycles. What if it doesn't happen?

OMG OMG its a May bonanaza!!! I can see the headlines now - January 08 Maternity Ward crisis!!

beansprout · 20/05/2007 22:04

Am struggling again today. Seem to have got my hopes up as temping has told me we got the timing right, but I know that, after the early m/c, it's going to be very hard when my period just trundles along as usual. I wish I could get off this particular treadmill.

seaside72 · 20/05/2007 22:46

beanie - no AF yet though?

beansprout · 21/05/2007 08:06

No, it's still only CD25 so it could be a while yet. I think I ov last Saturday so it's going to be a long week....!

Soreheart · 22/05/2007 22:54

Congrats to Sideways.
Am still chuckling at my new moniker (SoreHut)...hoho..it actually sounds more painful than Soreheart.
CD27 and have had 'the Spot' on cheek, managed to cry at 'Stepmom' this evening, so think AF is tracking my location in her ex-Mr Whippey van somewhere in my area.
Well, that was a long way to say 'period is coming'. I am British, y'know.
Which is probably why I haven't learnt about gunkwatching. Is this like Springwatch? Useful websites, anyone?

cityangel · 23/05/2007 00:03

Congratulations Sideways :0)

Hello hut of doom. Room for a fed up bunny?

beansprout · 23/05/2007 09:44

Come join us! I am miserable for England as temp as dropped so am sure period is on its way. Feel utterly despondent.

feedmenow · 23/05/2007 13:22

"Gunkwatch" with PC Plum........!!!!!

Soreheart · 23/05/2007 16:43

Sorry to hear there are some peed off 'Hutters'. Anything in particular, CityAngel? Could it be your reproductive system? Uhuh. And I see. I recommend you tell us all about it, whilst putting your feet up on one of the camel-poufes and supping some, well, I'm thinking Pimms, but you can order anything.
CD28 and all the usual symptoms are here. It's a total bastard. How did I ever manage to get pregnant in the first place, I wonder? It seems like a bit of a dream now, like maybe it didn't really happen. So, I am doing positive affirmations on this. .

MrsMcJnr · 23/05/2007 17:06

Hello all didn't want to read without posting, felt rude! Impatience - I was specifically looking for you to see how you are

Soreheart · 23/05/2007 17:15

Have googled gunkwatch. Best hit was in a naturist web site. Didn't dare go to the site in case my work machine sounds a claxon.

beansprout · 23/05/2007 18:09

lol soreheart! Your screen then freezes and the entire senior management team amble past your desk at the wrong moment, just for good measure....

Period symptoms ahoy here too. I too cannot believe I have managed to be pregnant before. I was walking to work this morning, being accosted by a million bumps and wondering just how and why this now eludes me. Godammit.

Someone at work asked me today if I was pregnant. Words cannot express just how chuffed I was about that.

Soreheart · 23/05/2007 20:35

Yeah and yeah, Beansprout, Symptom-Spotting Buddy. How do we ever kerp it going. I have actually spent some time over the last few days wondering WHEN exactly the last baby died. The hospital seemed to think that it must have been at 8 weeks or something but then, they completely missed the foetus when they did the scan and I delivered it 3 days later. So what do they know? It looked like 12/13 weeks to me. Sadly, I did measure it and everything. I don't know what this has got to do with anything apart from reminding that it did happen and it was only 22 months ago and not 22 years ago. Also got involved in a 3 way chat at work with easily pregnant, currently pregnant lady (who doesn't like babies) and a younger woman who is looking forward to starting to TTC soon (has clearly never been pregnant). Every 3rd sentence, I'm biting my tongue so as not to reveal what seems to me to be an 'unallowed' or 'unmentionable' story of failure to produce. I do feel a bit 'unclean' at these moments. Should I just develop a lie about not wanting children - or a genetic problem??

MrsMcJnr · 24/05/2007 09:21

Sideways - congratulations hon!

beansprout · 24/05/2007 10:40

OMG, Sideways - sorry to be so dense. Is that your bfp you were announcing?!! I didn't mean to ignore you, I thought you may have been referring to someone else's (as sometimes happens).

That's fantastic! Congratulations!!

Soreheart · 24/05/2007 17:54

Did I scare everyone (CityAngel) off? Sorry, All. Argh.

beansprout · 24/05/2007 18:11

I do understand what you are saying Soreheart. From what I know of myself I can imagine that I would feel the same in your circumstances. Any good rarely comes of discussions with pregnant women at work - avoid at all costs!!

am glad you are around, it's been a bit quiet here recently!
