ha ha... that was a drunk typo!

C-section huh? That is a big fear I have!! Anti epidural and hate the thought of general anaesthetic!!

Roskvawantingsomesunshine · 21/01/2007 16:53

I was actually terrified of an epidural too, but needs must in an emergency. I don't really want to go into it, it's still a bit painful to think about, but dd is fine, and I want to do it all again

Roskvawantingsomesunshine · 21/01/2007 16:54

Well, maybe not the emergency c-section.

Ready · 22/01/2007 10:51

Sorry if it seemed like I was prying ... it's just my MIL had to have 2 s-sections and a few years back made the point of saying that the size of the baby comes from the father, so she reckoned I am likely to have "bruisers"....

Roskvawantingsomesunshine · 22/01/2007 16:21

That doesn't always hold true - my brother is built like the proverbial brick privy but both neither of his children were huge when they were born!

Anyway, I gained 2lb last week , so I'm starving after my healthy lunch of cauliflower soup and one measly little slice of bread. And it's hours to go until supper!

Ready · 22/01/2007 18:43

Phew!! I had nightmares of all kinds of awful scenarios... all involving 10lb babies

I haven't weighed myself yet... tomorrow morning. I decided Monday morning is too much pressure after a weekend so Tuesday weigh ins from now on. Got a feeling I will have put on

Natty1806 · 23/01/2007 08:34

Morning girlies

I stayed the same this week so inspired to try harder this week

OP posts:
Ready · 23/01/2007 17:43

Damn and blast. I put on a sodding lb!!!!! I have no one to blame except myself!! And I did some exercise last week too Must have got complacent

Gotta be good this week!!

Natty1806 · 23/01/2007 19:17

Ready - don't eat the muffin!! or if you do eat it today but no more naughty things for a good few days. x

Roskvawantingsomesunshine · 23/01/2007 20:22

Feeling virtuous - I bought two kitkats, but I let dh eat both of them

Natty1806 · 24/01/2007 08:10

Well done

OP posts:
Ready · 24/01/2007 17:55

I did eat the muffin... but they are all natural, no processed stuff... so pretty virtuous But being good across the board though.

Walked to get a paper today, and it hailed on me... those little things sting you know!!

Ready · 24/01/2007 17:56

Roskva, your dh is v lucky!! Not sure I would have been able to do that!

Roskvawantingsomesunshine · 24/01/2007 20:40

It was very hard ... that kitkat was calling to me... then I thought of the jeans I would like to be able to wear again [smiling through clenched teeth emoticon]

Am I kidding myself that it's OK to eat wholemeal bread with nothing on it when I am reaaaallly hungry (which feels like pretty much all the time!)?

Ready · 25/01/2007 12:10

Roskva, I've been cutting up job lots of carrots and celery and storing them in the fridge, and then I snack on them as and when.
The other thing I have found is that I feel hungry, but it's actually thirst. So I have a drink of water and wait 5 minutes, and if I still feel hungry I know it's real hunger.

There is no point in going hungry, your metabolism will slow down and make it harder to lose weight.

Natty1806 · 26/01/2007 16:31

Think i am getting a cold and alls i want to do is go home and stuff my face with chinese and chocolate.

Not really in the diet plan is it? And i would have to be extra good over the weekend to undo the damage.

.....but i really want one.

OP posts:
Ready · 26/01/2007 17:53

Natty, you have your chinese and chocolate honey! A few treats here and there are the best way... you are more likely to lose weight and keep it off long term if you allow yourself indulgences. It's getting into a routine of healthy eating, the majority of the time that is crucial!!!

I think I may well indulge in some chocolate myself.

Have a great weekend!!

Natty1806 · 26/01/2007 18:20

Thanks ready, decided on half a pizza and some garlic bread.

Also has a snickers ice cream and some quavers

Oh well back on tract tomorrow.

have a nice weekend. x

Went out for lunch and had poached pears in red wine for pud. Well, I figure it's one of my 5-a-day . It's lamb, chickpea and spinach curry for supper.

Ready · 27/01/2007 12:10

ooooh poached pears

pizza is not as bad as chinese!! good choice. And quavers are better than the greasier crisps. Every cloud...

I made a roasted vegatable pasta bake, which sounds great, but I should admit that I put cheese on the top... but I did make it from scratch, no jars or microwaves involved. So whilst not diet food, quiet virtuous

Didn't have a dessert... but later on we had hot ovaltines (fortified with folic acid!) and maryland cookies

Ready · 27/01/2007 12:11

quite. not quiet. d'oh.

Roskvawantingsomesunshine · 27/01/2007 18:49

Keep up with the folic acid, Ready, it won't hurt you and it's good for your baby-to-be.

We're having sausages tonight 'cos I need comfort food. At least they are freshly made by our local butcher and not nasty packet ones.

I'm trying your suggestion of keeping chopped veggies in the fridge.

Ready · 27/01/2007 18:59

I ran out of my chopped carrots and celery at lunch, then about 5 minutes ago, I fancied a little tide me over, and was too lazy to chop anymore. I had some biscuits instead

Roskvawantingsomesunshine · 27/01/2007 19:01

In that case I'll own up to the chocolate I ate . Unfortunately it is sooooo much more satisfying than red pepper!

Ready · 27/01/2007 19:03

LMAO!!!! we're not doing brilliantly here are we (although you have lost plenty!).

More walking, that's my goal for next month.
