Hello

Am starting a thread for people like me who need to lose a few pounds (well more like a stone) after eating and drinking far too much in the past month (again if telling the truth year)

i will post my starting weight and height on 01/01/07

anyone fancy joining me??

I know, but it's a bit depressing. Bought Prima magazine yesterday because it's got a healthy eating plan which seems sensible: it doesn't ban things, but restricts certain things, and the suggested recipes are easy and some are things I eat anyway, so I'm looking to that for some inspiration. I wish dh would hurry up and polish off the chocolates that are still lurking around!

Thanks for the encouragment i am sure it will be more next week still not come on so that could be it. Not pregnant just done another test. Then ate a bag of chocolate buttons!

i went for gym induction this evening, instructor said all exercise ok when ttc, only to let them know if i do get pg. hope that helps.

Still being quite good food wise. I think I also need to up the exercise. I found in the past the best exercise is just go for a quick jog 3-4 times a week. I havent been regularley for about a month and a half. But I use to manage about 15-20 mins a time. Its cheap and dosent take much time out of your day. When I first started i could only manage around the block but even thats better than nothing. I found the gym and exercise dvds to much of an effort. I can fit in a quick jog in after putting dd to bed then be back for eastenders. I got a cold at the moment but as soon as it goes i think i will get the running shoes out again.

Well, I seem to have got past the urge to eat between meals, just getting used to being hungry . Am about to brave the howlig gale and go for a walk.

I haven't had the best of weeks, so not looking forward to the scales on Monday but been active, so that might help.

Know what you mean about the gale!! Those force winds do help to make a walk even more beneficial!!

Got a horrid cold so healthy eating went a bit out the window last night. We had sausages chips and beans and then apple pie and custard. I blame it on my dh as oven chip are his specialality. But promise then my cold gets better to get out my running shoes.

Yippeeee! I've lost 6 lbs!!!! I thought my jeans were not quite as tight, but I didn't think I'd been that good.

Sorry not been round much, first week didn't do well at all, put on 1 lb joined slimming world last monday and my scales say i have lost 3.5 lbs so will be interested to see what the club scales say this evening.

Haven't had chance to read through the thread, hope you are all being good.

Well done on the 6lbs Roskva!! That is brilliant. Very as I didn't lose anything this week Although I confess I had a naughty weekend, so didn't expect to.

Well done on the 3.5lbs Natty. Don't worry if the slimmingworld scales are not the same, trust the home ones

It think the weather being so cold doesn't help because all I crave is mashed potato and gravy!!!

Cedar12 - ooooh sausages and chips Don't go running until you are better as you will just relapse!!

Greedy - hope you've only been greedy for babies, and nothing else?? Where are you??

Babylove - What DVDs has your sis got? I have both of Davina's and they are brilliant.

I find it hard at this time of year - I want warm, stodgy comfort food when it's cold. It's so much easier to eat salad in summer!

I'm getting ready to - was advised to wait a year before even thinking about trying following a rather traumatic c-section. So in the 6 months I have left to wait, I figure I should try to get fit and healthy. I hope you don't mind me being on this thread.

been eating healthy all week havnt had 1 drop of alcohol NO crisps NO chocolate and i weighed myself this morning even though i said i would weigh in on mondays! lost 2 pound thats it!!! grrrrrr
