Count me in - says she, sat here munching on Xmas cake, whilst the wardrobe is full of things that don't quite fit anymore ...

decorativeD2Bmum · 28/12/2006 16:06

i aim to stick at this thread unlike bowing out on the last one.!

anewme · 28/12/2006 16:46

me too!
my aim: to become a mean lean fertility machine!
ps am only kind of new around here. formerly known as ladybump and wright4845.. still lurking

PeachyIsNowAChristmasFruit · 28/12/2006 17:43

Ues please, gained a bit since lst year although lost 3 stone or thereabouts (slightly more) before that. need to lose it though, health problems run in the family

Natty1806 · 28/12/2006 17:52

Well done on the 3 stone lose.

Glad to have people join me, i went down the pub for a few spriters.... something i need to knock on the head in the new year.

Well girls ....eat all the bad stuff now and then it will all be gone by Monday. Well that's my motto anyway. xxx

Natty1806 · 29/12/2006 14:05

Know what you mean, it does make me feel 100% better but i find it hard to get motivated but as of 1st Jan 07 going to make sure i take my dog out for at least an hours walk each day.

Hi - yes count me in to please!!!!

RoskvaTheRedNosedReindeer · 29/12/2006 20:49

I tried that one last year, Natty. It worked fine until the weather was lousy. In fact, it's blowing a gale and chucking it down at the moment, so dh is on dog walking duty tonight

Ready · 29/12/2006 21:31

Has anyone seen than advert with the dog walking on the treadmill??? That is what I would do if I had a dog and it was raining

RoskvaTheRedNosedReindeer · 30/12/2006 13:36

Nice idea, but it doesn't help with the dog doing what a dog has to do, that I would much rather he didn't do in my kitchen!

Ready · 30/12/2006 15:59

Ha ha. Well there you go... another good reason for me not having a pet... I'd be utterly useless

RoskvaTheRedNosedReindeer · 30/12/2006 19:07

Pets are actually quite good at training their owners. Mine is a good alarm clock, and does a cute little dance when he wants to go out.

babylove123 · 31/12/2006 06:29

Well i need to join but having the willpower isnt easy!!!!

Bought myself a crosstrainer 2nd hand and used it twice to excuse me, i was un-well at the time and to excuse me for another week, im ill again. Lol. Do need to drop the weight but i did wonder whether to wait till after you've had a baby. Wot a bugger if you lose weight then put it all back on in pg?!........

RoskvaTheRedNosedReindeer · 31/12/2006 10:30

I think the theory is that if you get into good eating and exercise habits before pg, it's easier to maintain them during, and you should only gain healthy weight while pg and not have too much to lose after.

I like the idea of a cross trainer. I've only gone as far as splashing out on a skipping rope (used once so far !

anewme · 31/12/2006 12:25

thought'd i'd get a head start and did my ministry of sound 'pump it up' dvd in the living room last night.
Dog got all excited at my jumping around that she starting humping me and barking (not at the same time). Anyone else have a girl dog that does this? Very strange. If she was human think she'd be a bit of a go-er! It's not easy to step and reach with a great hairy retriever on your left leg. All in all it wasn't a great success, plus i can't move today. even walking down the stairs hurts......

crunchie · 31/12/2006 12:31

Natty1806, link this to teh Big, slim whatever to get more people, it is not just about conception is it??

I am starting a detox tomorrow for one week (cabbage soup diet) then doing Slimming world (I lost 4st last year but put 1/2 stone on)

RoskvaTheRedNosedReindeer · 31/12/2006 13:50

My dog also thinks I exercise for his entertainment - try doing crunchies with a dog bouncing onto your tummy! (He also tries to hump everything including other boy dogs, which gets him into lots of trouble...)

DimpledThighs · 31/12/2006 14:04

I will post too come tomorrow.

I have a few exercise dvd's but am thinking about joining the gym too.

Good thread!

babylove123 · 31/12/2006 19:40

My crosstrainer was off Ebay, £25! Bargain!!! Keep an eye out ppl

Not going to start the losing weight till we've cleared the cupboards a bit otherwise it wont work!

RoskvaTheRedNosedReindeer · 31/12/2006 20:17

That's why I'm still eating the Xmas cake...

DimpledThighs · 01/01/2007 09:51

new years day is the traditional place to start but too many bendicks bittermints and leftover party food to resist - can I check in tomorrow?!?

anewme · 01/01/2007 10:17

babylove123 · 01/01/2007 14:51
