Well tried to add my bit to old thread and we have reached 1000 posts again!!
Chocolatepeanut, am so sorry for what you are going through, although you sound as if you are handling it well so far. Hope things aren't too bad for you in the coming days.
Rubles, sorry if AF does arrive, bloody bitch! My blood tests will be next week. DP sperm test threw up 'abnormal sperm' and he needs to go and discuss with the GP later this week although she did say it wasn't too much to worry about. Been meaning to start a new thread on this but haven't got around to it.
I'm looking for a yoga class to try and help me relax! Do think this whole TTC is stressing me out so much, I'm so conscious of age gaps, both our ages working against us, even worrying about if we do conceive in next couple of months as worked out it would be a July or August baby (my oldest is July born and is struggling bit with school etc). Part of me thinks it may do us all some good if I just stop ttc for a couple of months, then the other half panics about an even bigger gap, etc!!
How on earth do you all manage to relax about all this stuff??

Gillian, I don't think I'll be capable of commenting on cycle lengths for quite some time, but good luck on your quest for knowledge!!
I have told dp in no indefinate terms today that there is no drinking and v. little smoking for him for the next 10 days - 2 weeks cos I want quality sperm from him (I know that it actually takes longer than that for good sperm to be produced, but I actually find it a real turn-off if he's been down the pub, so wouldn't want any action when he stinks of beer and fags!)

gillian1973 · 27/02/2007 17:09

Thanks feedmenow, my DH doesn't smoke but he likes his beer and wine and whiskey. Luckily he also likes his seafood and he gets to eat lots of oysters at 'bingo time' just to keep me happy.

Any other offers on how long the cycle will take to settle down?

Catbabymummy · 27/02/2007 19:54

What was your cycle like before your miscarriage? I wonder if there is any link between the two? I'm in the same position as FMN, we had our m/c days apart.

Catbabymummy · 27/02/2007 19:55

Oh, DH doesn't smoke and he's given up alcohol for lent, so we're ok!

gillian1973 · 27/02/2007 21:17

I was 25 days spot on and very, very rarely would shift from that.

Since the mc its been 23,34,24,26,24

Catbabymummy · 28/02/2007 07:05

Gillian, if i were you i would start a new thread asking about cycles, there might be people on other threads who can help. It's just been a wee bit quiet on here lately. I just add random posts tbh just to keep it bump for anyone who may need it.

d4phne · 28/02/2007 10:30

I am still lurking here but have nothing really to post. My first cycle 5 months after m/c was only 21 days (normally more like 28-30) but then I have been so messed with that this is no info at all. Sorry Gillian. But then your cycle doesn't seem too irregular to me... Catbaby -- saw your posts and am sorry about the helter skelter they put you through. I have huge mood swings, can be fine one day and cry for hours the next. Just can't take the injustice of everybody having healthy pregnancies around me.
Thanks to MN I know now that this can be normal but it has been 5 months!

lulu1414 · 28/02/2007 14:11

Hi All and a big hello to D4phne. I hope all is going OK and that you are feeling a bit better. I am about where you are at- 5 months on and still very weepy at times. And same here- EVERYONE I know is pregnant (OK, not the boys, but pretty much everyone else)

As for cycle- I can't be much help either as I had no AF for 4 months and then had a very light (2 1/2 day) AF and now am waiting to see what happens next.

gillian1973 · 28/02/2007 19:01

It amazing how it comes back to bite you LULU1414 isn't it? This week I have almost been back to square one and just want to cover my head with the duvet and sob. I often think that the only cure for this is to fall pregnant again but then I start to worry if I would miscarry again. Its a vicious circle!!

duchesse · 28/02/2007 20:38

Hi Gillian- since my miscarriage, my periods have been all over the place as well. The first one was five weeks after the EPRC, then 28 days, 25, 33 (but I had a chemical pregnancy last cycle). There seems to be no "normal" any more.

gillian1973 · 28/02/2007 21:45

Thanks Duchesse. I think I'll just settle for what I've got and that I may never be back to my old cycle again.

Catbabymummy · 01/03/2007 07:02

If I was on the 28 day cycle I was on before the m/c I would expect to be ovulating tomorrow. However, I got the periods pains I normally get around ovulation yesterday...

Uki · 06/03/2007 04:00

Hi
Where are you all? I miss my buddies.....

How are you all anyway?

When can i expect some good news?

All ok here, still paranoid over here, but shouldn't be really. Not much else to report big scan at the end of the month.
Bye for now

rahrah1 · 06/03/2007 08:39

Hi Uki, good to hear from you... wow is it your 20 weeks scan already... gosh thats amazing... Are you going to be finding out the sex.. ?? Glad you are doing well....Understand your anxiety, only natural... I will be a nervous wreck...Just got to get pregnant first! Take Care X

elerose · 06/03/2007 17:44

Hello, not sure if I'm in the right place I was just looking for a bit of advice. I MC on new years eve my AF arrived on 5th Feb so I think that makes me day 30. Before MC my cycles were between 28-31 days.
I have managed to convince myself I'm pg (with twins)I think I'm going Mad I'm so desperate to be pregnant again. Anyway do you think I should test today or wait as I have no idea what effect the MC has had on my cycles or when my next AF would be due.

rahrah1 · 06/03/2007 17:56

Hi elerose, pleased to meet you... sorry to hear about your M/C... I would test now if your period is late.. should be here about now...However I have found that after I was pregnant my periods have bounced around a bit...and my ovulation was delayed a bit...which sometimes makes you think you are pregnant. I have been there on the 'convinced I'm pregnant and with twins'... Of course I wasn't

If you are not pregnant you are more than welcome to join us on a thread where we help with TTC techniques for next month.. It's called Temp buddies...

Anyway hope you don't need us and get your BFP.. Best of luck X

elerose · 06/03/2007 18:04

Thank you so much rahrah it's nice to know someone else knows how I feel. I'm worried about testing because I know how devestated I will be if it's BFN even though my rational side is screaming at me that this is the most likely outcome.

Catbabymummy · 06/03/2007 18:25

Don't worry we've all been there, I'm on CD18 after my first period after my m/c, and I'm already debating whether to test or not...

elerose · 06/03/2007 21:01

Thanks, I couldn't get a test tonight had dd with me when I went shopping, I think I will definately do one tomorrow if no sign of AF. I was thinking it would be better to get result at home and have a breakdown there(which I know will happen) than wait for AF to show up when I'm in work.

Uki · 07/03/2007 23:34

HI Again

Elerose- good luck with the test.

Catbaby- how u doing? wishing you lots of luck for a BFP this month.

Rahrah- hang in there, your time will come and then time will move faster too. I was saying to firstar that it seemed like forever between her BFP and Mine, but we are only two weeks apart!!! can't believe it.

I'll let you know how scan goes i think about 30th, yes we may find out the sex if we can, but not sure if we'll tell. It may or not be correct anyway.

where's Oinker ?????

Catbabymummy · 08/03/2007 07:19

Hey Uki,

Okay I think, but stressed to buggery about work. When I'm supposed to be avoiding stress!
It's CD20. Tested yesterday, BFN. Trying to restrain myself not to test until Saturday.
I know I should wait to CD28, but I've got about 12 test sticks so I might as well use them, plus I'm curious as to how sensitive these tests are and how soon you can see a BFP!

minx69 · 08/03/2007 13:12

Docs was a waste of time.
She made me feel like I was stupid for even asking for help. Kept looking at DD (who I had to take with me) and saying "well you conceived one naturally...." yeah... why dont you just tell me outright you think Im an ungreatful b1tch for asking and I should be happy with my lot...

Told me to come back when its 18mths+ TTC.... also said 2 more m'cs before tests for that cos I had DD in between them and the 1st after her didnt go "in my records"...

ARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

Sorry, venting lol

Uki, wow! 20wks, hope all is good at the scan

Im cd27 today... feeling crampy and moody, dont think this will be our month either

minx69 · 08/03/2007 13:13

Cat, you really wont see anything til at least CD24 tbh.

Catbabymummy · 08/03/2007 21:48

Thanks Minx. Sorry your doc gave you a hard time, that's really dismissive treatment you've had. Have you tried getting a second opinion?

Uki · 09/03/2007 03:01

Minx-I'm with Cat, change dr's, was she just a gp, some can be pretty useless. I had one like that too.

You definately don't have to wait for more m/c's have you never had any blood tests?
Just tell them you want them done.

I had some after 2nd m/c and then again after 3rd m/c (had ds in between though), and again when pg because things can change especially after m/c and when pg. I now see a obstetrician/gynelologist, he is fantastic realy knows his stuff and even gave me another blood test as i was worried i ate something bad and had listeria. It makes such a difference to have him. I even went to recurrent m/c clinic after last m/c even though not technicaly recurrent they were nice but didn't say much, went back to ob and he put me on asprin and calcium as some tests were borderline and he thought these would help me.

Which does seem to have workerd, lowest blood pressure in a decade and made it past 12 weeks.

Unfortunately I'm in Oz so my ob can't help you, but ask around or get a referral for an Ob.
