Couldn't stand a Fred with only a couple of posts left so I filled it up!

Here is the 13th installation of the Just Shagging saga. If you're a bit lazy relaxed in your approach to getting upduffed, come over here for a natter!

Fred rules;

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share Brew and Wine with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo;

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce Envy in other posters).

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly opk's or temp charting. They are Contraband Shock Wink

I'm sorry frogchops Sad

I'm stuck with my mother all day tomorrow which really is a good thing, new car shopping Smile but it means i can't test, so hopefully if AF doesn't arrive i may test again on weds.

Rockchick1984 · 14/01/2013 23:32

Frog that could be exciting stuff tho - hope you're going to do a test with FMU tomorrow???

Good luck with the car shopping Cookie, what are you thinking of getting? What type did u have written off??

Just found out that my friend with a baby the same age as DS, and a baby 12 months younger, is expecting her third so will have 3 under 3 Shock I think she's mad but am very jealous that we are struggling for baby 2 and she's on her third!!

frogchops · 15/01/2013 07:43

No one will believe that I actually forgot to test with fmu!Blush still no af thoughHmm

wavesandsmiles · 15/01/2013 09:19

Aw frog how could you forget??? Fwiw, my first IC BFPs took aaaaaages to come up and were super faint.

I vote you tape an IC to your forehead before you go to bed tonight, so you can't possibly forget to test with fmu tomorrow Wink. Definitely wanting some more people on the grads fred Smile

It's my 12 week scan this morning - I shall drop in after and let you know how it went. keep fx for me please

chocoloulou33 · 15/01/2013 10:55

Good luck for 2moro frog what's 'Ic' stand for people? X

Rockchick1984 · 15/01/2013 11:05

Choco it's Internet cheapies - cheap pregnancy tests usually from amazon where you can get about 50 tests for under £10!

Good luck waves I'm sure you will be fine Thanks

When was AF due Frog? Are you normally very regular? I keep thinking I'm late but my cycle over the last few months has been a bit haywire, anything from 21-33 days so I can't rely on that at present!

frogchops · 15/01/2013 12:08

I'm 2 days late now on cd31 and have never gone this long before. I'm getting twinges, cramps, and back pain. Hmm
Am still not completely convinced.
How long did your IC positives take waves??

chocoloulou33 · 15/01/2013 12:11

Thanks rock I actually ordered some yesterday. Need to get up on ttc slang!

MelodyHarmony · 15/01/2013 12:45

Bearface sorry about the BFN. But you could be too early.
My willpower isn't anything special. It more like fear in disguise. I am just so scared of seeing a BFN, I'd rather wait it out.
All the best with the job interview.

MelodyHarmony · 15/01/2013 12:48

Go and buy a better test and test with FMU tomorrow Frog. It might be worth it if you're later than you've ever been. I've never tried ICs so I have no idea how good they are, but my DH is a big believer in 'you get what you pay for'!

MelodyHarmony · 15/01/2013 12:50

Lots of squeezes to those of you with the friends with baby/preg news. I really struggled last week with all of that.

MelodyHarmony · 15/01/2013 13:01

I woke up with that low down, heavy, cervix stretching, AF is imminent cramping this morning. I've had lots of twingy cramps over the last few days which could have been the build up to AF or like those I had in early PG before. But there was no mistaking what I felt this morning. So it really does look like I'm out this month.

If AF does come today or tomorrow though, it looks like I was off with my ov predictions. I was expecting AF on Thursday or Friday. I think I donned the JS cape at the right times (as we had a JS-a-thon whilst DH was off work over Xmas and NY) but I read my signs wrong and mistook 'man juice' (sorry TMI) for CM.

So after all that rambling I will probably be expecting ERTD today or tomorrow and certainly by the end of the week.

wavesandsmiles · 15/01/2013 13:18

Hi frogs I got my BFP the day AF was due, but I assumed I was testing early due to irregular cycles pre-coil. Anyway, just back from my scan and the dates were bang on, so I actually got the first BFP (which was more like a very faint, pathetic attempt at a BFP)the day AF was due. As DH and I were exclusively just shagging I have no idea when I ov'd or anything!

Anyway, back from scan, all is perfect, due end of July. Baby has all it is meant to, and was very active. Can't believe it is actually real, and going to try to allow myself to enjoy this a bit now Smile

frogchops · 15/01/2013 13:41

Was this bfp with an IC?? Or a 'proper'one? Lol

MelodyHarmony · 15/01/2013 14:01

That's lovely news Waves, so glad to hear the scan went well, I bet it was AMAZING to see your little one for the first time. Congratulations!

Are you going to hang around here or graduate to the grads thread?

wavesandsmiles · 15/01/2013 14:29

Hi frogs - it was an IC BFP. And even after I did the FRER and got a really definite BFP, the ICs still gave very unconvincing lines.

Still smiling after seeing the little one. I'll still be lurking and sneaking in with baby dust still, have also been lurking on the grads thread, but I guess that now I have actually seen the baby, as opposed to just seeing lines on a pee-covered stick, and feeling bleurgh, I actually am a grad! Still not really sunk in and I think I might have to spend the afternoon pinching myself in case I am still dreaming....

MelodyHarmony · 15/01/2013 14:45

I remember with my other 3 DCs, that seeing the scan made it all so much more real. And for DH too!

cookielove · 15/01/2013 15:46

Still no af for me which is making me all excited but I am still stuck with my mum and now also my dad so no chance to test today.

I had a KA and I waiting to see if we can get a 207. Hopefully will get it (fingers crossed) ..

This is the longest cd I've had I think I am on cd 29 I am usually 25 last month I was27. For some reason my phone would not let me use a space and also I feel sick.

Bearface · 15/01/2013 15:51

Hi Waves - how exciting seeing your baby for the first time! You must be over the moon. Smile Glad to hear all is well and you're progressing nicely.

Frog - I still think you're in with a chance like others said. Think I ahd a bit of an evap line last time I did my POAS. Got very excited and it disappeared within about 5 seconds. It's amazing what BFP goggles can do!

I'm having real work dilemmas - basically was offered a job today even though I only went in to do temp work and it's quite a good deal - would be part-time which I'd like, but isn't permanent, but I've also got the original interview next week for a higher paid job in a better place but would be full time, further away and fixed term as well. Also, with the second one I'd get more holidays and I'd be hankering after a permanent position after the maternity cover was over. What to do????? Confused I don't know what I want! Why can't the one I want be closer to home?

Elektra - hope you get your work stuff sorted out. I basically decided that I couldn't keep hanging on for one or the other (i.e. job or baby) as I could be there a while, so I decided to go for both. Shock I am an employer's worst nightmare I guess!

Cortana · 15/01/2013 15:54

Great news waves!

My best friend gave birth recently and another announced her pregnancy. I think the "I wish it were me too" emotion is normal, I mean when a friend gets a new pair of shoes I sometimes wish I had nice new shoes too. The fact that you're still happy for her shows you are dealing with it so well.

MelodyHarmony · 15/01/2013 16:03

OOoOoOoOo Cookie when do you think you will test?

MelodyHarmony · 15/01/2013 16:05

Oh Bear that is dilemma central. I'm rubbish with decisions like that.

Bearface · 15/01/2013 16:09

Thanks Cortana - much appreciated. I feel a lot better today. I always want new shoes, but I'm not as bad as Frog and Ding who has graduated now but still pops in; they would bribe themselves not to POAS with the promise of new boots. Are you still doing that Frog? My willpower isn't that strong! I would have BFN and no boots!

frogchops · 15/01/2013 17:01

Haha, I am wearing those very boots right now..... And had plenty of bfns, lol. Have since bribed myself with a coffee machine, a new coat, a new purse and some posh chocolate. Needless to say, I have them all in my crazy obsessed willpowerless possession!! Blush
