Bring on New Year Bfp's, it's Just Shagging thread 13!

Couldn't stand a Fred with only a couple of posts left so I filled it up!

Here is the 13th installation of the Just Shagging saga. If you're a bit lazy relaxed in your approach to getting upduffed, come over here for a natter!

Fred rules;

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share Brew and Wine with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo;

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce Envy in other posters).

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly opk's or temp charting. They are Contraband Shock Wink

another namechange I've had time on my hands today

Frog Hello! I reckon I ov'd on the 17th dec, as I have put 'EWCM' in iPeriod. We DTD on the 6th, 8th, 9th, 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th and 17th, and again on the 19th and 20th. I've been ill since the 22nd so no more after that. I think I probably implanted on the 21st/22nd as I have put 'mild cramps' in iPeriod. That would all fit with my usual cycle length etc. Put all this into NHS direct and it agrees with iperiod; edd 6th Sept don't waste any time, me

Bum in air only once, on the 12th. All other times I didn't bother, just rolled over and went to sleep. Missionary all those times except 2 (tmi ha ha?) as it's my favourite.

Got a faint bfp on a IC just now. They have been showing bfn until this evening. Might as well use them up I guess

Second Bearface; just jump him. DH can't resist having his tummy lightly scratched (this has been known to wake him up from a deep, drunken sleep for sex Grin). Does your DP have an 'on switch?'

Hurrah!
So glad I've found this! I always wondered what the JSers were - bit confused as I thought this was the conception threads. Nooowwww I get it! And relieved I don't have to fight my way through the OPKers...

So, would be great to join you Viroids (is that the word?!) Right, I'll try a bit of Ctrl-Alt-Ving...

Hello Soontobe, Suede, Furry and Addicted* and everyone else who may be lurking.

Sorry to hear that Soontobe - hope you can make some inroads into getting ready for IVF soon.

Ding - like the Currer Belle, but can't keep up with the name changes!

Frog - maybe tomorrow will work anyway, but I would hang on till the end of MOTD if that is what is getting in the way. Maybe you could also play the rather manipulative new year's resolution game where you pick a res for yourself and then one for each other. I know what yours could be for Mr Frog . . . Xmas Grin

Good luck Jemimah.

Ooh, a few new (metaphorical) faces tonight hiya Here's hoping for a fruitful new year for all.

OBEM USA ended up making me very curious about American maternity care. Everyone was lying down (or semi lying down); one woman was even told to get back on the bed when she was near pushing, my 2nd midwife was like "you want to stand up? Stand up, I'll crouch here and wait if that's easier" (I didn't, I knelt on the bed) They're all hooked up to an IV straight away (of what?) and there appeared to be no Entinox; it was either nothing or epidural. I don't know where I'd be without gas and air. Red Maybe you can shed some light?

Rockchick1984 · 30/12/2012 23:58

andie my friend gave birth in america and from what she said it was incredibly medicalised eg epidural or nothing, scans every 2 weeks throughout most of pregnancy, all consultant led (not midwife) and she had to give birth flat on her back with legs in stirrups Sad

Hello to all the new JSers! And massive congrats to Ding and Tenton on your new year BFP's!! I'm due a visit from the witch around 11 days time, but my massive order of IC's has arrived so got to decide how early to PIAR...

Bear I like ur idea!! However, after the initial opk that I said wasn't dark enough, I did another yes I'm full on crazy about 3 hours lata as I know even just a few hours can make a difference, and got a proper positive. So.... Despite MOTD (whoever said that made me lol!) I was hoping to hop on, but DP was having none of it. 'You're not bothered' I kept telling myself, 'just go to sleep and forget positive opk'
But this morning (bearing in mind I still have shitty cold) I was trying my hardest to muffle all coughs and sneeze quietly as I asked for the 'last quickie of 2012' DP said that it wasn't the most appealing due to amount of snot, haha but after some sulkage (I'm VERY good at sulkage) the quickie was done. Am guessing will do another opk today might not be as dark as last night, but well see.
Now I just need cold to piss off for tonight/tomorrow for 'the first shag of 2013'!! It aint easy pretending ur not ill!!

Hi all, sorry haven't been around for a while. Hope you all had a lovely Christmas and congrats on the engagement and all the bfps. Hello and welcome to all the newbies too.

Anyone else trying for a New Year's Eve baby? According to my app, the full flower day (ovulation day) is today! Hoping this is my month. Really enjoying JSIng this month so would be wonderful if it was!

So it seems my sulkiness this morning bagged me a quickie, but I'm doubting I'm in for another one to see in the new year. DP has already said since this mornings session...after he had a sneezing fit...'I don't think bogey for willy is a fair swap' haha. So altho I'm annoyed that in my head the new year would be a full on shag fest coinciding with ov days, it doesn't look like it will be. Managed it about 24 hrs before positive opk and 12 hours after but I think that's my lot.

Hang in there Frog - anyway, if you managed it today and you're oving at the mo, hat should be enough shouldn't it? And you DTD in previous days before, so I think you'll be okay. Shame you can'tsee the new year in with a bang though, so to speak Xmas Blush

Off to watch final episode of Homeland now and get ready for champagne fuelled New Year's Eve shagfest Tooting on my little trumpet for you all!

I piar about 2.30 this afternoon and thought I got the faintest of faint barely there practically nonexistent lines...BUT you really really had to squint and hold it to the light was running from window to window oh and it was after 15 mins when the test says it doesn't count after 10 Blush

It's not really a line is it? I'm being ridiculous aren't I??

Frog - I agree with Andie - sounds good to me.

Andie - your name reminds me of when I was at primary school and our teacher would regularly get us to spell 'antidisestablishmentarianism'!

Homeland - very good but disappointing - I just want to know now and it's kind of gone full circle so again no one knows anything. Hmph. Think I am generally a bit impatient!

Yes, Elektra - why shouldn't you be?
