Couldn't stand a Fred with only a couple of posts left so I filled it up!

Here is the 13th installation of the Just Shagging saga. If you're a bit lazy relaxed in your approach to getting upduffed, come over here for a natter!

Fred rules;

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share Brew and Wine with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo;

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce Envy in other posters).

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly opk's or temp charting. They are Contraband Shock Wink

Happy shagging shaggers Grin

I hope so to

Usually i test and then AF appears Hmm

chocoloulou33 · 13/01/2013 23:31

Hey everyone, so many people to keep up with on here lol. Good luck to those poas 2moro. Am only on cd10 so enjoying the shagging & the fact I'm not gonna use opks this month. All going well so far Grin

MelodyHarmony · 14/01/2013 10:22

Sorry Cookie

MelodyHarmony · 14/01/2013 10:26

I think I'm out. I have no PG symptoms at all. I'm only 10DPO but I only have a 12 day luteal phase.

Having said all that, in my last PGs I think my first concrete symptom was missed AF (oh,I did feel implantation in one of them - never had that with the others though). I think I'm just looking for symptom more this time because if you lot Wink

Rockchick1984 · 14/01/2013 10:36

Melody I had no clue I was pregnant with DS, so don't accept that it's not your month just yet!!

Cleo I hate it if me and DH have a tiff when I know it's a good time to DTD - I tend to just see it as make up sex Grin

Frog any sign of AF/BFP yet? Keeping fingers crossed for you!

I've had the shortest ever AF, usually about 4 days long but has just been 1 normal day, 1 light then nothing. Am now stressing that it's too short and is contributing to lack of BFP, I blame you lot for suggesting that as a possibility Wink

frogchops · 14/01/2013 10:44

No sign of af Hmm but am not testing. Promise! Today is 14dpo and I should've started last night. Cross your fingers girls!!

Rockchick1984 · 14/01/2013 11:30

Frog test, test, test!!!

Hooya · 14/01/2013 11:30

Hello!

Rock I had a very short one (2 days I think) the month before I got pg the first time, so fear not the short period - in fact, enjoy it, I guess, iyswim!

Melody this is controversial but I don't think it's possible to get any symptoms (other than those of implantation, which not everyone gets) before ERTD is due, since hormone levels aren't high enough yet. I have had none either time until a couple weeks later and even then, I doubt I would know I am pg now if it weren't for the 6 positive pee sticks in my bathroom cupboard!

Good luck frog and everyone else!

MelodyHarmony · 14/01/2013 12:24

Thanks Hooya and RockChick. I usually give the same sort of advice! My other PGs didn't have any symptoms til about five and a half weeks. I don't know what's happened to my rational brain. I just think there should be SOMETHING tangible for me cling to!!! I just want something, anything. Mind you, if I do ever get a BFP and my usual morning sickness kicks off (from five and a half weeks til sixteen weeks) I will be begging for that feeling to be removed!

Why are we all just so jolly impatient?! I sometimes think all this knowledge of ovulation and luteal phase length isn't helping me. Back in my mum's and gran's day they just got jiggy regularly and then noticed a missed period. My gran says she missed several periods each time before going to the doctors, she doesnt understabd HPTs and never understands how I know I'm pregnant before I've been to the doctors!

MelodyHarmony · 14/01/2013 12:31

Frog you hold off. Don't listen to Rock Wink.
I love a challenge and I'm trying to set myself up to wait longer than ten days after AF due date! (either this cycle or another one). Ten days was the longest I've ever waited. But that was 8 years ago and I was at work full time so it was easier not to be tempted.. Now I'm in the house a lot during the day with a HPT in the drawer! Although that test has been there since my last pg so it's probably out of date! I used an out of date one once before and it did work but I didn't trust it so had to go and buy another straight away!

Sorry for the rumblings surely you can't tell I'm bored and obsessing

MelodyHarmony · 14/01/2013 12:32

*RAMBLINGS sorry, not 'rumblings'. Though my tummy is quite gurgly today is that a symptom?

AndieDisestablishment · 14/01/2013 12:40

Hooya It's good to hear about your short AF before BFP as my last one was 2 days instead of 7. clinging onto any hope

Melody I might enter myself into the POAS delay challenge. ERTD due Saturday so will see what happens.

cookielove · 14/01/2013 12:41

AF is due today by my dodgy calculations Hmm so far she is a no show, i'm turning into a symptom spotter, I have gone off food, my boobs are sore. But i'm sure it would all be to early for that. Someone give me a virtual slap!!

MelodyHarmony · 14/01/2013 12:44

It's easier said than done Andie. Also when I did achieve the world record my record for waiting, I didn't know anything about luteal phase length being fixed so I just kept thinking I was a bit 'late'. Now I know that I have a 12 day luteal phase so I should be due Thursday or Friday of this week. So once I get to about Sunday I will be chomping at the bit to test!

MotherOfCleo · 14/01/2013 12:46

Cookie I feel your pain

Rock I worked through the anger and we dtd anyway lol. I needed him for his swimmers Wink

MelodyHarmony · 14/01/2013 12:49

With a generous helping of imagination and time to think whilst I avoid housework I have decided that I might actually have these symptoms:

  • Slight nausea.
  • Constipation (no imagination was needed there, that was very real earlier, sorry TMI!)
  • Bloating Reality check: ate too much at Christmas
MelodyHarmony · 14/01/2013 12:50

Oh, and backache.

MelodyHarmony · 14/01/2013 12:52

Oh Cookie you and me both.

frogchops · 14/01/2013 12:56

Haha rock you make me laugh. I'm not going to poas. I actually don't want to because I'm so worried of getting bfn. So in answer to whoever asked.... Yes I'd much rather get ertd than bfn. Also if I get a bfn now I can't even use the 'you might be testing too early' excuse! [confused
]

MelodyHarmony · 14/01/2013 13:09

That was me who asked that the other day Frog. The fear of a BFN is like failing an exam, far worse than ERTD (although that is pretty miserable).

I'm so glad I've got you lot on here. I've not told any of my proper friends that I'm JS (with a purpose!) and my DH doesn't want to know about any speculation. He just likes concrete facts.

cookielove · 14/01/2013 15:22

Well i accept my virtual slap, well needed but have consoled my self with a wispa gold and a twirl Blush my diet is going well. Oh no i feel all crampy, but still only on my left side and that is always crampy these days.

God news, i got the hire car, bad news they want it back by thursday Shock so i managed to wangle tomorrow off, even though nursery will probably be shut due to the shit load of snow pouring down on us. So i can hopefully get a new car tomorrow

Bearface · 14/01/2013 17:45

Hi Everyone,

Cookie - hope you manage to get your nice new shiny car sorted out.

I'm at the most 11dpo - might even be 10 - if indeed ov happened at all, blood test still not back yet to confirm and I caved Shock In my defence I've got a job interview next week Smile and I don't know how long the contract is for as it's a maternity cover. If I was pregnant, it might change things quite drastically, so thought I'd better POAS. Got a BFN. Sad Could of course be too early, but like I said before, I just don't feel it at all.

One of my very best friends is just about ready to give birth to her second and I'm very happy for her, but I can't help having that 'I wish it was me too' feeling. Need a hooya and a hand squeeze please.

Bearface · 14/01/2013 17:53

Hang in there Frog! Wow - Melody - you must have such willpower!

Elektra83 · 14/01/2013 20:08

Sorry to hear about the BFN Bearface Great news about the interview next week - good luck!

AF arrived this morning - am a little sad but a bit relieved it's turned up (first proper period after coming off the pill), but we are currently debating whether or not to hold off ttc for a couple of months and see what happens with my job stuff sigh

frogchops · 14/01/2013 21:43

So, as was clearly obviously going to happen, I caved. It's 14dpo and I used ic. I couldn't see anything at first but on the 10 minute mark I could and still can see a faaaaaint line. Unsure if this is evap AGAIN.... But prob is as it would've showed up right away, right? Anyway, I'm getting fed up of these ic evap lines. :(
