Bring on New Year Bfp's, it's Just Shagging thread 13!

Couldn't stand a Fred with only a couple of posts left so I filled it up!

Here is the 13th installation of the Just Shagging saga. If you're a bit lazy relaxed in your approach to getting upduffed, come over here for a natter!

Fred rules;

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share Brew and Wine with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo;

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce Envy in other posters).

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly opk's or temp charting. They are Contraband Shock Wink

The link to the latest grads thread is HERE

Happy shagging shaggers Grin

Gah! Posted a message and it got wiped when the internet broke down - how annoying! Now can't be bothered retyping it. Good luck everyone over the weekend. Let's see those capes flying in the breeze!

Don't forget we need a new fred soon. Can someone put the link to it on here when you get to the end? Cheers!

Good luck Fish at getting it on again. We managed it this pm while dinner was cooking. Grin

Fish I totally agree. Even though I've been pregnant a few times before, I'm still imagining symptoms that don't exist every time I'm in the 2ww. I think most of the symptoms I spotted last month are actually there every single month even when I'm not JS, I just don't normally notice them!

Cookie I conceived DC3 with me on top. (And with just one shag that month, after a year of TTC like rabbits!)

Fertility Friend suited me down to the ground... but that was the problem. I love data, facts, science and thinking I'm in control. BUT it really did my head in. I got SOOOOOOO obsessed it was unhealthy. I think I did the temping and FF for about four months (in my year of TTC like a rabbit for DC3). Some people hate it, others love it and can handle it, and others, like me, love it but get tipped over the edge by it.

Anyway, we'd have to throw you of this thread if you started temping and joined FF Wink.

Bear We missed out on DTD last night as well due to OH not being well. Think I should be ov'ing tomorrow so going to try and stay awake tonight and jump on him when he finishes his late shift. Will be soon starting the TWW and expecting ERTD 16th/17th Feb.

I learnt last month that I can not trust my body at all. I felt all sorts of odd symptoms that I had never felt before TTC and was completely shocked when ERTD got me! My body was obviously just trying to trick me into believeing I was pregnant. Envy

Hello all, stuck on the door at work so i thought i would pop on here instead as i have nothing else to do Smile

Dh says he has all the power now cause i wanna dtd and make a baby (and he does to) where as all he ever wanted was to the dtd so now he can say no cause he knows i'll always be up for it

And to make matters worse we only do it with me on top, cause he can't bend his knee yet which makes me think i'll never get pregnant Sad i need a slap.

Humpty fx that is not ERTD

It would be fab to have a flashing light, i am the queen of lazyness that would suit me down to a t. And a flush button. Someone needs to invent these things Smile

My sister who never ever jshagged and went straight to doing temps, and knowing her ov cycle e.t.c suggested i went on a website called fertility friend was wondering if any of you had tried it, or may try it now i've suggested it?

I totally agree with you Threeblondies I conceived DC3 with DTD just once that month after over a year of TTC like rabbits . I need to remind myself of that. I think this month though, we JSed too early.

However, I now reckon I ov'ed yesterday so we could give but one last shot tonight. How long does an egg live for?

Sorry Humpty if that really is ERTD.

I like the idea of a flush button for ERTD.

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 01/02/2013 12:55

She's obviously not a logical woman - why else are AF and BFP symptoms so similar? You wouldn't make the 'live' and 'earth' wires in a plug the same colour, now would you?! Also, while we're at it, could we have an 'off' button for the male sex drive when we are AFing and really can't be arsed, even less so when you pester me with that begging look

Report
Bearface · 01/02/2013 12:40

Maybe we could include a flashing light to show when we are ov'ing? Hidden beneath a discreet panel of course! I don't think Mother Nature can be a woman - if she was she'd have come up with a much better design, surely?

bear That is a GENIUS idea. I'm going to invent a flush button - and make meeelllllions of dollars! Mwah ha ha!

Report
Bearface · 01/02/2013 11:03

Fingers crossed for you Humpty, but I know what you mean. You just wish it would get on with it if it's going to happen. Sad I think a flush button so it would be over and done with in a few seconds would be ideal! Grin

I think ERTD is on its way - more light brown spotting today. Silly little part of me is going 'oh, but, wait, it's CD28 and normally by now ERTD is in full flow, not just the yukky brown gunk, and maybe that's something else' etc etc. TBH, I'd rather ERTD just came on properly, so I could stop with the silly thoughts and start planning looking forward to JSing next cycle.

Hope everyone is having a nice day - and looking forward to the weekend!

Think I'll be ending my 2ww just after you Threeblondies and Melody - think mine will be around 14th/15th Feb. Will be running in and out of that cave with you!

Got two lines on cheapie OPK today Smile DH wasn't well last night after eating out and so we couldn't DTD but hopefully should be able to do it today and catch it although last month I had two different days when I had 2 lines on OPK so not sure what was going on there Very excited to be ov'ing - small pleasures, I know!

The month I fell with DD2 we only dtd once have hope! My cycles have always been a bit random and last month I think I timed all the action a bit late. Part of my motivation this month is that three friends are all having their babiesEnvy two of them had them weds, also DD2 starts school in sept so the next couple of months would be perfect timing for a bfp! Majority of the action has taken place in the afternoon, DH works permanent nights so I sneak in to him when girls are st school/playschool, poor DH has been rather knackered Smile

Thanks Threeblondies. We can won't symptom spot together.

I think I ov'ed yesterday (CD15) (maybe Wednesday) I seem to have a 12 day luteal phase so I reckon ERTD will make an appearance on Wed 13th Feb (maybe Tue 12th).

I don't think I've done enough to even consider POAS this cycle. Although it does only take one little spermie. And I think our JS was too early to have worked. We only DTD Saturday (CD10) and Monday (CD12), then our week just got too hectic to squeeze any more in.

Your JS schedule exhausts me Threeblondies just from reading it! Where do you find the time and energy for so much JS?! I take my hat cape off to you!

I'll keep you company on the 2ww Melody depending on what sort of cycle length this month has decided to be I should be due ertd/bfp between the thurs-sun in 2 weeks! DTD EOD from CD9 (twice one day, and 2 days together over suspected ov!) got in a last chance one today (think I ov'd mon/tuesday or weds!) Really couldn't have done anymore!Grin

So that means I'm now in the 2ww. I'm not going to kid myself, this month, that I can stay away from here. I tried that last time and failed miserably!

COOO EEEE! Only me!

So sorry Cleo. I was convinced you were, it all sounded so positive.

That information about getting upduffed in that short space if time is absolute tripe! People shouldn't be allowed to say such things. I've read similar (from reliable sources) to what Bear posted.

The whole conception thing is nothing short of a miracle when all the facts (about the variables having to be just right) are laid before you like that. It's a small wonder any if us are actually here!

I can also ramble or blather like an idiot as my good friend often tells me! so do ignore when when necessary.

And I apologise now if I every say something like 'so dirty' and it seems out of context. I've had too many occasions where I've been trying to type 'sorry' but my phone has turned it into 'dirty'.

Anyway... Nice to see some of the capes are being put to good use this week. Mine has only seen the light of day (night!) twice this past week and I think I've ov'ed now. Maybe it was enough...???

Cleo I'd read 3 months too, but having googled more that seems to be a very conservative estimate, mrsbri is right and anything under 12 months is perfectly normal without any fertility problems :)

Not rambling Cookie - anyway what else is this fred for? Grin I'm the Queen Rambler, so sorry if I do, but that's me! Just scroll through if you get bored! Grin

I didn't see it but it sounds informative - I'll see if I can find it online. It makes me feel happier too. I keep telling myself that women all over the world get pregnant every day and I've got as good a chance as they have, so it's just a matter of time I hope.

cleo sorry the ERTD got you Sad

The odds do seem sometimes stacked against us, did any one watch the great sperm race show, (i may have the name wrong) it had people acting out how we conceive it was scary how much everything had to line up absolutely right, before you had a chance of conceiving a baby and even then it wasn't a given thing, and yet we all stand a good as chance as anyone else which kinda makes me happier about the whole thing.

Sorry i rambled Blush
