Couldn't stand a Fred with only a couple of posts left so I filled it up!

Here is the 13th installation of the Just Shagging saga. If you're a bit lazy relaxed in your approach to getting upduffed, come over here for a natter!

Fred rules;

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share Brew and Wine with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo;

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce Envy in other posters).

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly opk's or temp charting. They are Contraband Shock Wink

The link to the latest grads thread is HERE

Happy shagging shaggers Grin

Ooo - good luck with the baby shower Red.

MelodyHarmony · 12/01/2013 17:13

Aah, sorry you've just had ERTD Cortana. You'll look great in the new season's JS cape though. It will really suit your colouring!

If my AF doesn't show up on Thurs or Fri next week, I'm going to see how long I can hold out before testing! My record is 10 days!

I used Fertilty Friend when TTC for my last DC. I even paid money for it but, in the end, it did my head in. I'm lucky enough to have regular cycles and enough EWCM to sink a battle ship so temping and charting only told me what I already knew about my body. So, after a few months, I got rid of FF.

frogchops · 12/01/2013 17:59

Belle (treating you to your correct name!) - I'd live to be on the Grads fred too Sad
It's 12dpo not 13 but I thought IC were meant to e more sensitive than FRER?? Had most symptoms going although some are disappearing nowHmm. And yes u are a bad idea bear!! I will test tomorrow with fmu. And not a minute before. Confused
I already bought motivation boots so I can't even play that game!!

cookielove · 12/01/2013 18:21

Eek i got my days muddle up, AF is due tomorrow if i stick to cd 27 which happened last month the month before it was 24, and the month before that 25, so in theory i could be late, or just about to come on, or i could be up duffed. Now should i test tomorrow or wait till monday or even worse shall i wait till wed so not to waste a test...... hmmmm ponders!! What shall i do?

Things with the car are getting sorted quicker than i realised it would happen, it is being to taken to the scrap yard on monday (my poor baby) and both my mum and the pick up driver noticed it had a full tank of petrol i realise in the grand scheme of things isn't that much of a problem it just seems like a waste.

Elektra83 · 12/01/2013 19:38

Thanks Hooya funnily enough I said to my friend I bloody better be pregnant now!

Thanks also Bearface and I am sorry to hear about your sibling! I hope they find a job soon

I'm just going to try and put it out of my mind, will focus on stuff in the here and now, mostly ttc, trying to lose weight and looking forward to my holiday in March! There's nothing I can do about my job situation, so will prepare for the worst and hope for the best.

Part of me kind of wants AF to show up this month - just so that I know all is in working order, that I am back on my normal cycle etc. Will have to see next week.

Oh and thanks Red for your message, I'm doing better today :)

MelodyHarmony · 12/01/2013 21:06

I can see that logic Bear but I can't do it that way round. I think I feel like I am failing an exam every time I see a BFN!

dollydaydream26 · 12/01/2013 22:22

What's that I hear ..... Free trial on fertility friend exits mums net to check App Store

Congrats on your wedding day Toby hope its fab Smile
I am head first into the two week wait symptom spotting cave trying not to but just can't help myself !! 2dpo according to my period tracker ( which I have no idea if correct as only third month using it ) but still js'ing just in case !! Well only symptom so far is lower back ache and twinges in the uterus area( if I may call it that) . Back ache prob caused by fact that I am an NHS worker and twinges probably because I spend more than half my day thinking about my uterus and what could be going on down there!
This is my first month ttc so odds are nothing Is going on down there and it's gearing up for Ertd but who knows can't wait to test ahhhhhh really want to wait til AF due tho song want to get my hopes up ! Anyone else struggling along with the 2 ww ??? X

AndieDisestablishment · 12/01/2013 22:44

Melody I'm with you, I get really glum when ERTD appears but nothing compared to the crushing disappointment of a BFN! I'm going to try and wait as long as possible after ERTD due this month. Cycles have been random since having the implant so think it's more wise to wait than test.

Dolly 2ww here, not feeling hopeful. Due a week today.

notsoold · 12/01/2013 23:31

Toby...I hope you had a wonderful day.....

Answering the question ertd any day over bfn....

MotherOfCleo · 12/01/2013 23:54

yeah i agree, bfn hurt far more than the arrival of the witch....shes just the final nail in that painful monthly coffin.

Redshoes56 · 13/01/2013 00:41

Just reporting in that the shower was actually really nice! (Thanks all for the kind support - I may need it at the next one in February, ha.) Today, I sat next to a childless friend and we chugged sipped some Wine and snickered to each other every time someone said "nipples." I helped the mom to be and her husband cart all their presents home since I live right around the corner from them, and we had a nice heart to heart chat about how much pressure we put on ourselves with this whole TTC business.

ERTD usually is my BFN - I hate 'em both...

CrackerJackShack · 13/01/2013 04:59

ERTD this morning. Stupid thing decided to show up 3 days late. Grrrr. Ah well cycle 3's the charm right?

thethreeblondies · 13/01/2013 08:05

hey ladies the witch got me yesterday too Sad nasty bitch! I was kind of glad of having had the three bfn as it prepared me, I was quite hopeful this month, next month I vow to not poas and/or symptom spot! my cycles seem to be varying quite a bit so shags a plenty for dh this month (although as he works nights he will get fed up of me crawling in to bed with him after school run!)

Bearface · 13/01/2013 10:38

Sorry about ERTD Cracker and ThreeBlondies. Sad Fx for next month instead. Smile

Am really getting bored of my 2ww now, but I don't think I will get a BFP this time. I just don't feel it at all and I have zero symptoms now. BUT I'm just hanging in there for ovulation. Although if they say I haven't ovulated, then I don't know if they'll keep on testing me or move onto the next step. I have no idea and I feel a bit annoyed that my crap GP hasn't told me what the process might be. From what I can find out by reading other threads, the amount of time they test you for seems to vary from person to person or doctor to cdoctor. Maybe it depends on the results? I don't know. Confused

Red - glad you had a better time than expected at the baby shower. Smile

frogchops · 13/01/2013 11:27

Hope you had a lovely day Toby?!

After the drama (I'm getting good at this!) of the questionable bfp yesterday, I had a little 'what if' discussion with DP and struggled to get him to understand the desperation to Poas. DP said 'I just don't get it, why don't you just wait for af to show, it's like a free test!!.... And if it doesn't , Poas!' ....boooo DP and your logic. Lol
Anyway it's due tomorrow and I am 99% sure she's on the way. I've got cramps different to those felt earlier in the week and they are just typical of af. I wouldn't be getting this feeling I don't think if I was upduffed. Prepare for the shag wagon!! Sad

Furrybiscuit · 13/01/2013 13:20

Hi all!! I'm one of the newbies who snuck in recently! Not been on a while and jeeeeez have I missed loads! Congrats to all the BFPs and boooo to all the BFNs and visits from the witch Sad

Missed so much, I must visit more to keep up with everyone's news!

Not much to report from me....ertd arrived but (and likely to be the only time I am) I was actually pleased as it was first since stopping the pill. Only stopped 8th dec so pretty happy it arrived after less than 5 weeks, heard some horror stories of it taking months! Tho I know it doesn't necessarily mean it will happen regularly so just need to wait and see! Also good that I got what I think were ov symptoms exactly 2 weeks before it arrived-that's a good sign right?

MelodyHarmony · 13/01/2013 13:43

Sorry about the ERTD Cracker and Threeblondes Sad

Frog look up 'Baby Snark'. I don't want to get your hopes up unnecessarily but in all if my PGs I've had 'this is AF cramping, it's definitely on it's way' and each time I've actually been pregnant. I remember doing some Internet research with DC1and came across the Baby Snark website which has lots of testimonials about AF cramping in early pregnancy.

My theory is that the initial cramps we feel on each non-PG month are not cramps which are expelling the blood (as i previpusly thought) but the actual build up of the uterine lining. So on a PG month we get the same initial cramps, maybe with some extra tugging and burying feelings ( but they are sooooo subjective).

These days, I notice that my cramps change when AF is imminent or has actually started.

Having said all that, I'm on 9DPO, very crampy and trying to convince myself it's not AF!!!

frogchops · 13/01/2013 17:08

Thanks melody that's really interesting, and another little gem to add to my crazy list of information to peruse obsess over each month.
I just feel like cramps are worse today than during the week and with af due tomorrow, it makes sense. Surely if I wasn't gona get af, they wouldn't get worse, they'd just be a constant? I even had to check she hadn't arrived before I went out earlier, it felt so imminent. And each time I go to the toilet I expect her to have turned up!
Every month without fail she turns up during the night, so I suppose tonight would be the night.
However, I think I deserve a medal for not Poas today! I just don't want to.

petitech · 13/01/2013 17:14

Can I join please?!
DS 19months
Cheshire
Cycle 6 (though only three seen any action ;))
Just got bfn and decided I need to chill out and get with the just shagging programme :)

MotherOfCleo · 13/01/2013 19:29

meant to be dtd later BUT my OH has been pissing me off all day!!!!! grrrrr Sad at this rate I wont want him anywhere near me! Sad

frogchops · 13/01/2013 20:10

I had lots of those days cleo, but I wrote them off instead of attempting to salvage a Dtd, because if you're anything like me you spend ages trying to fix the atmosphere and enjoy it but its just not worth the stress. You'll have forgotten about it by tomorrow Wink

MelodyHarmony · 13/01/2013 20:14

Hi Petitech nice to meet you. Welcome to the madness! We're all slightly crazy here very friendly and full of warmth, advice and shoulders-a-plenty to cry on.

MotherofCleo sooooooo know where you're coming from there.

MelodyHarmony · 13/01/2013 20:19

Right. Is there still that spot for me in the symptom spotting cave? I reserved that ledge next to the fire. I couldn't legitimately join last week as I'd only just ov'ed but now I am 9DPO and am symptom spotting like crazy remaining cool, calm and collected.

Who else is coming to the SScave with me? I've got plenty of Biscuit and Brew.

cookielove · 13/01/2013 22:09

Ok i caved and POAS, BFN Sad

I can't actually get to the shops to buy any more (cause of the whole lack of car) so will have to wait till AF arrives or a car lets see which one comes first Grin

frogchops · 13/01/2013 22:14

Ok cookie, sorry for the bfn, hopefully you're just testing too early.
After mine on 12dpo I decided I wasn't testing anymore, I'm just waiting for af as not to waste anymore. Obviously if she doesn't appear I will, but I'm convinced she's on the way Sad
