Bring on New Year Bfp's, it's Just Shagging thread 13!

Couldn't stand a Fred with only a couple of posts left so I filled it up!

Here is the 13th installation of the Just Shagging saga. If you're a bit lazy relaxed in your approach to getting upduffed, come over here for a natter!

Fred rules;

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share Brew and Wine with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo;

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce Envy in other posters).

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly opk's or temp charting. They are Contraband Shock Wink

The link to the latest grads thread is HERE

Happy shagging shaggers Grin

I think I'm missing something with the viroid thing BlushBlushBlush

Bearface · 03/01/2013 18:43

Good on you for quitting smoking Humpty - stick with it. I don't have any fave TTC foods, but I'm trying to eat as much fruit and veg as possible mainly to lose weight so that I can increase my chances of conceiving. I'm not massively overweight - just need to lose about half a stone to get into the right BMI, but I'm trying to use the Hairy Bikers'/Dieters' stuff to reduce my calorie and fat intake so it's not too painful. I don't drink much either - I'm such a lightweight cheap date I'm finding it quite easy to keep off the chocs and bad stuff at the moment probably because it's just after Christmas and I feel a bit fooded out. Trying to drink lots of water too as apparently it can help cervical fluid.

As for shagging - I'm on hols at the moment so have been able to get lots of time in and DH was off until today. Grin

Bearface · 03/01/2013 18:44

Frog - it's in the blue bit at the top for the OP - 'Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!'

cookielove · 03/01/2013 18:55

Aquark so how do you do that pin interest thing then?

MelodyCatsAndKittens · 03/01/2013 19:14

Humpty I only have the time and energy for lots of JSing this week as DH is off work and so am I although I only work one day a week. The two oldest DSs are off school and have been sleeping in a bit so we're all quite refreshed. If I don't get upduffed this month things will get a bit trickier for us as life just gets in the way! (and I doubt I will as things took a while last time and we are both over the hill getting on a bit).

frogchops · 03/01/2013 19:18

Oh ok, I get this now. Wink thanks bear!!
As for foodies.... I need to lose about 1/2 stone - 10 lb ish to b in the right bmi section, but I am cheap at resisting nice things. Me and cake have a love/hate relationship. I'm not brilliant on the fruit and veg intake but I've never smoked and I don't drink (apart from really special occasions) so I don't think I'm too off the ideal wagon.

MelodyHarmony · 03/01/2013 19:31

Sorry, I've name changed... again!
I've never really altered my diet much. Like others, I don't drink much, I've never smoked and I'm one if those annoyingly skinny people. I eat pretty healthily and walk A LOT. I take folic acid when TTC. A friend of mine suggested diet changes for "gender swaying" (as I have three boys already) but I can't be bothered with all that. Quite happy with a healthy baby, pink or blue.

MotherOfCleo · 03/01/2013 19:40

I dont smoke or drink apart from special occasions) I get a fair amount of exercise walking the puppy and do a Bokwa class once a week (used to be a gym bunny and do 3 or 4 classes a week, but I appreciate my home life with the man an pooch more now).
Ive done both WeightWatchers and SlimmingWorld and am quite careful about what I eat....although I am a crisp fiend! I love them. Im not overweight and my bmi is 25 exactly Grin so all I can do is blame my dusty eggs and my OHs slow swimmers....they may need to stop and ask for directions or something. Wink

Redshoes56 · 03/01/2013 21:40

Happy new year and happy new thread! DH and I returned from a holiday visit to my folks with nasty sinus infections and we've been down for the count for days. Arg. I'm working from home today with my kitties, soup and prescription drugs. Finally got pants snot while we were away, and we were not about to shag in the spare bedroom next to my parents' and no lock on the door, so we're out for the month unless some of his swimmers were hiding up in there for a few days. I can't just wait to feel healthy again!

OK, going back now to catch up on everything. Lots going on here, and lots of new faces Grin

MotherofCleo I read something funny today on a blog about dusty eggs, so your comment made me laugh. This is actually a funny read for all: Peeing My Pants and Other Things That Terrify Me About Pregnancy

MotherOfCleo · 03/01/2013 22:23

haha red that is awesome! God I hope I dont have old decrepid eggs Sad eeeek scared now.

Redshoes56 · 03/01/2013 22:49

Nah, we've still got some ripe ones up there! Need to shake 'em out!

Elektra83 · 04/01/2013 07:54

Redshoes that blog is hilarious! I think I will be going back to read her other posts! Thank you Smile

Bearface · 04/01/2013 09:39

Hello Red sorry you're not well. Hope you perk up soon and manage to get back to the JSing. There's a lot of illness going round - guess it's migrating between continents too!

It's funny isn't it, how some people have no qualms about shagging with parents/PILs next door, but others just couldn't! I'd be in the second camp, but I know some people just say 'Not ideal, but needs must'. I'd be afraid of making too much noise! Grin

Off to have a look at the blog now.

LotsaTuddles · 04/01/2013 09:55

At the moment we live with PILs due to still saving to buy a house etc, so we have to do it with them in the house, it does mean having to be very quiet but not the end of the world. We live together, therefore we have sex iyswim.

ERTD due today, still hasn't come, it normally happens in the middle if the night, doesn't feel like it's about to happen, but don't feel entirely normal either. (I'm making do sense, so gonna shut up now).

Will POAS tomorrow morning and report back.

Going to look t wedding dresses this afternoon

Bearface · 04/01/2013 10:16

Needs must, eh? Tuddles. I think it's all fair enough and good on you, but just makes me personally cringe as my PIL's house has such thin walls! I can hear them talking and breathing if they have a cold or something. Blush You're braver than I am - I'd be celibate if I lived with PILs I think! Also, it makes me think of Gavin and Stacey when they're all sitting round the breakfast table and they can't help listening to G and S doing it and have to turn the radio on. Grin

Bearface · 04/01/2013 10:17

Ooo - meant to say, Tuddles - wedding dress shopping?!!! How exciting!!!! Hope you have a fab time. xxx

Bearface · 04/01/2013 10:32

Great blog Red - thanks - made me laugh!

I think I may have a urine infection - feel all swollen in my lady bits area. Of course, if I was symptom spotting I could be jumping up and down for joy, but as I'm not and it is too uncomfortable to jump anyway, I will go with infection and start swilling cartons of cranberry juice down my neck. I know this month that I have timed the shagging exactly right so could be . . . Now all I need is my little body to do its job!

addictedismoving · 04/01/2013 10:35

Ooh wedding dresses, have fun!

We went on holiday with pil, all stayed in the same cottage and we did have sex, but there is no way id do the same with my parents or at ils home (thin walls)!

MelodyHarmony · 04/01/2013 10:47

MORNING VIROIDS!

Just to cheer you 30+ people up... All three of my current DCs were conceived from 'dusty old eggs' in my 30s...so it's not all doom and gloom. Actually, I was 29 when I conceived the first - just remembered that bit! The first two conceptions were pretty quick, 2nd month of trying for DC1 and 1st month of trying for DC2. DC3 took forever 14 months to conceive so maybe that's not such a good example, but we got there in the end, without any fertility treatment. I'm trying to think that this one will be quick like the first two but I actually reckon it'll take a while again. I'll be on this thread when you lot have all graduated to some birth club thread Wink

Elektra83 · 04/01/2013 10:55

Tuddles Good luck with wedding dress shopping and enjoy it!

Oh Bearface I hope it is the other thing and not the infection...!

I'd like to think we timed it right but only time will tell...on the plus side, if I'm not and it takes a couple of months then I might be able to enjoy my 30th in March!

MotherOfCleo · 04/01/2013 10:59

ohhh electra I'm 30 in march too! Grin I want to be well and truly diffed by then though! Grin

Elektra83 · 04/01/2013 11:11

Oooh, when is your birthday?!

I think I want to be to in the grand scheme of things!
