socks. and compost. I had asked for the compost tho :-) .for Dh socks and a cheap roasting tim ( we had asked for a chunky solid roasting tin, ho hum) Not sure about the socks, guess they may have been on special at Aldi.

A jumper from M&S, some slippers (too small) and a joint present for DP and myself - A "lovely" tulip touch lamp from woolworths. DP got terrible jeans, terrible top, terrible lamp - thank god she kept receipts and we can say stuff was too small

She always gets us something for the house, mostly is awful, but she means well. I always cringe. I still have a leonardo collection horse that is just dire - but ive grown to love it! I actually thudded it against the wall, ears first - i heard something chip to the ground - it was a bit of the wall!

Here's the story. I wanted to borrow my MIL's curling iron for a wedding we were going to. Asked her for it and she told me my SIL borrowed it and it over heated and burnt out. So I told her it is fine, I just wanted it for that day, I'm going to cut my hair anyway after that.

So there we were, my friend cutting my hair at my MIL's house. While on the toppic of hair, MIL smiles and says "OH, tasja is going to love her christmas present, she wanted it for so long".

Luckily it click with me OMG she bought me a curling iron! And I have very short hair - to do what with???

Told DH who went to MIL.

So she gave me money to go and buy myself something else.
I got lovely organza curtains for my living room and cushion covers.

Last year a pair of second hand gloves that were too small.
They are loaded as well !!! For me it confirms what I suspect she thinks of me !
