That's sad Apostrophe. Grandparents should always get their grandchildren something at least.

WhenScoobyGotStuckUpTheChimney · 26/12/2007 09:14

We got a joint present, we got a lovely clock for the wall in the lounge & some M&S vouchers.

needmorecoffee · 26/12/2007 09:14

Some ferrero roche even though she knows I'm vegan. But then she's never liked me cos I grew up on a council estate and ensared her nobby-school educated son and then I stayed home to look after kids and produced a disabled one. Should be ashamed of myself

Astrophe · 26/12/2007 09:17

it does make me sad for the dc, because as they grow they will wonder. But my parents more than make up for it, they are very generous

dotellall · 26/12/2007 09:19

nothing

whispywhisp · 26/12/2007 09:31

I don't care, btw, that we didn't get anything....what you don't get you don't have to say thank you for! Suits me just fine.

sophiewd · 26/12/2007 09:39

Main pressies were an Argos voucher towards a new camera, and a New Look voucher oh and a selection of choccy bars in a little gift bag.
She still does a stocking for me and DH, so in there were useful things like shampoo, shower gel, sponge, body spray, socks and the not so useful, toy and chocolate coins .

sparklyjen · 26/12/2007 09:58

Calvin Klein cashmere blend hat, scarf and glove set and £10 cash.

ChippolataMinton · 26/12/2007 10:21

lovely new socks (chosen with care) and a Terrys chocolate orange - everyone gets the same...

...and some cash.

Pinkchampagne · 26/12/2007 10:37

My MIL gave me £30 & made me up a food hamper, to help me out now that I am on my own. I thought this was really sweet of her.

smartiejake · 26/12/2007 10:48

Pretty silver book mark, lovely earring and necklace set and a keyring.
Always gets me super pressies

glastocat · 26/12/2007 11:22

An Elizabeth Arden 5th Avenue gift set. It was my fourth bottle of perfume [DKNY. Gucci and Kylie also] - everyone must think I stink! . I'm taaking the bloody Kylie perfume back to the shop though - what was my sister in law thinking?

arfishy · 26/12/2007 11:29

A card to DD with her name spelled incorrectly, some US$ (we live in Australia) and no mention of me in the card to DP (we've been together for 12 years).

BadZelda · 26/12/2007 11:34

Ha ha - my mum bought my one year old a needlepoint kit!

BadZelda · 26/12/2007 11:35

(I realise that was slightly off-topic but wanted to share. Sadly my MIL died before I got a chance to meet her )

Anna8888 · 26/12/2007 11:37

A great canvas handbag with photos of my daughter from last summer at the beach printed on either side .

Only thing is, my daughter has annexed it for her .

VictorianSqualor · 26/12/2007 11:44

Box of those seashell choccies, a sanctuary spa giftset and elizabeth arden perfume(the one I asked for) so good pressies really.
My xmil bought me a handbag and me and dp some quality street.

SevenSwansASlouching · 26/12/2007 11:48

Beauty flash balm (as requested by moi!)

She's a good un, I am lucky.

hogwarts · 26/12/2007 11:57

My SIL bought me a bottle of wine. Nice, but I am 20 weeks pregnant. Lot of thought there?

purpleduck · 26/12/2007 12:14

BREADMAKER!! Yay!!! Haven'y figured it out yet though.

Maidamess · 26/12/2007 12:19

£50 voucher to get some perfume.

ShakeysGirl · 26/12/2007 12:28

Not even so much as a card. Or a verbal Merry Christmas. Although she did give me a stunning filthy look, i think she'd been saving it up especially for Christmas

whispywhisp · 26/12/2007 13:21

arfishy - a card with just dp's name in it? And you've been together 12yrs? Crikey, now that is bad.
