Thanks @allatonce99 for thread title

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

White Company do tend to do a 20% off in November - people who are White Company VIPs get 15% off and free postage all year round.

bookwormbeagle · 22/09/2020 19:16

@someaddedsugar Thank you so much for the tip! Will hold on then and keep checking the website.
Now off to find some bargains to post 😎

dementedma · 22/09/2020 19:16

Second Mr Gum books by Andy Stanton for your reader. Very very funny. Author is lovely too. Sent DS a signed copy and a follow up letter which he still keeps safe - he’s 18 now

livingthegoodlife · 22/09/2020 19:16

How do you become a white company VIP? (Spend a shed load of money....) I quite like bits from white company!

HoldingForGeneralHugs · 22/09/2020 19:23

@Lockdownhairdontcare i got my ghds second hand for about £60 on ebay about 4 years ago, the were in great condition were limited edition ones still going strong today might be worth looking?
They didnt come in a box (some do though) but i got my self a heat resistant mat as well so wasnt too bothered just excited to have ghds for the first time!

SingaporeSlinky · 22/09/2020 19:31

PinkDaydreams have you tried The Range for lap trays? That’s where I always get mine

PinkDaydreams · 22/09/2020 19:33

@SingaporeSlinky I haven't got a range within walking distance unfortunately. I thought Asda would do them but I went in the other week and couldn't find any.

Onelittlepiglet · 22/09/2020 19:42

@Sausagis have you seen these by S’Well in John Lewis? Not cheap but two nice Harry Potter designs to choose from

WhereTheresAHill · 22/09/2020 19:44

Smileatthesmallthings · 22/09/2020 19:49

@PinkDaydreams Dunelm often have the beanbag ones in.

Itwasntme101 · 22/09/2020 19:54

There's some lap trays on the Aldi website for £5.99

Martinisarebetterdirty · 22/09/2020 19:57

@livingthegoodlife I thought all people who got the catalogue became VIPs? I’ve been one for a couple of years and don’t spend much there.

Carrie76 · 22/09/2020 19:59

@Sausagis I got my son a HP bottle from Typo last year

3isthemajicnumber · 22/09/2020 19:59

Haven't been on all day and can't believe how quickly we're moving! Thanks @Reastie for the new thread and thanks @PhantomErik for the Lego monster truck, snapped up for DS (who definitely doesn't need more Lego and/or monster trucks but will love it!)

3isthemajicnumber · 22/09/2020 20:10

Forgot to share my bargain.
I ordered lots in the alphabet bags seconds sale and they sent me a full price 15% off code. It’s OOHNICE

peasando · 22/09/2020 20:10

Struggling a bit for DD who has her first birthday in December. She has so many hand-me-down toys from DS there's really nothing she needs, but I'd like to get her something that is just hers. I got her the damn puppets for Christmas 🤣 but was wondering about a doll for her birthday? Is 12 months too young for a doll? Is there any particular one you would recommend? Thank you clever people!

Lockdownhairdontcare · 22/09/2020 20:18

Thanks @PinkDaydreams. Unfortunately her birthday is before then 🤦🏻‍♀️X

mumontherun14 · 22/09/2020 20:19

@WhereIsThisGoing did you see the Regatta store on EBay? Their prices are great & quaity really good. They were doing £10 off if you spent over £79 then EBay were also running a promo so I got another 15% off xx

GenghisCalm · 22/09/2020 20:20

@PinkDaydreams

I'm looking for a lap tray if anyone knows where to get one please?! It's for me to eat my tea on my knee Grin I've tried home bargains and b&m but can't find any. Doesn't have to be fancy, a basic plastic tray will be great. I was looking for one with the bean bag attached or fold down legs but can't find. Thanks all!
They have some in Argos for £8.00.
allatonce99 · 22/09/2020 20:23

Ha ha can't believe I made the thread title 🤣
But I do so love my matching bowels bowls and plates

Thread 7 - the one with matching bowels and plates
icedaisy · 22/09/2020 20:23

Yes @WhereIsThisGoing agree with @mumontherun14 re regatta. Also I recommended lidl coats and trousers last week for kids. Was in our local one today and they still had some. Super wearing, age 2-4, so good growth and fleece lined. Best ones I've had for Dd.

trilbydoll · 22/09/2020 20:24

@peasando 12m is perfect for a doll. John Lewis have soft bodied ones that are about 10", any bigger is too much for them to carry around.
