So dc presents have been brought for about a month and I am finished all of my Christmas shopping. For the last 7 years (since dd was born) I have stuck to a stocking and 2 gifts from Santa, one from me, one from the sibling and one from the dog giving 5 gifts under the tree (not including extended family and friends gifts) and around 10 little gifts in the stocking. I usually end up with 1 gift that over spills the stocking and today when I got them out to wrap they didn't look big enough to overspill!!
So this evening I have bought a large Donald Duck plush from the Disney store and a large minion from build a bear. This comes 2 days after telling my children they have too many teddies on their beds!! Arghh the twitch got me please say I am not alone Xmas Blush

I twitched in fucking tiger today !!! Only for £5 but it's annoyed me!
Feel like DS deserves his flashing lights for his sticking and while sat in his wheelchair he managed to kick loads of people!!!

I did put his ankle restraints on eventually ...

WiryElevator · 22/12/2015 07:23

We found out yesterday we are hosting MiL as well as my parents on The Day, and I felt bad they'd open their presents at the same time and they aren't equal, so I've bought DM and DF some extra books. DM a book on the dog she wants to get next year and DF the new Humans of New York. Whilst I was on Amazon, a few other bits fell into my basket for the DC.......arrrgh when will it be over?

RoseDog · 22/12/2015 07:59

Oh I twitched last night, ds has got right into the darts this year and wants a dart board and he was looking at them online last night on Argos and I couldn't help myself...they do same day or next day delivery straight from the store to your door so it's partly their fault for offering such a quick service!

I have everything bought and wrapped I feel like I've kinda failed myself!

MTWTFSS · 22/12/2015 08:39

My last twitch is stuck in Germany Shock Amazon insist it will be here by Christmas eve Hmm

Badders123 · 22/12/2015 08:46

Twitched again yesterday...a Star Wars novel from Amazon for ds1.
MUST STOP

cantgonofurther · 22/12/2015 09:37

I was done but yesterday decided to get my dd another toy. When we do the Christmas shop I'll be checking out the playmobil sets at Tesco. She only has a wooden train set as a toy and it's the first Christmas she understands and is excited about.

SteveBrucesNose · 22/12/2015 09:53

This is one time that I both love and loathe amazon prime.

I had a horrible moment earlier today thinking I didn't have a good enough pressie for my nephews. I love prime because I could go on and get something else for them and it will be delivered tomorrow. I loathe it because I can just go on and order something else and therefore end up spending more money.

Hey ho, only another 15 quid though. could have been worse added to the extra tenner for my mum yesterday for similar reasons

Badders123 · 22/12/2015 09:55

Amazon prime is both my saviour and my nemesis :)

Does it count as a twitch if I've ordered something for Christmas 2016?

No? I agree.

I'd been thinking of getting a Wentworth jigsaw (they really are completely gorgeous) for this year but hadn't got round to it... then I saw that they're now on sale! There's a Kandinsky one (he's one of my favourite artists) that to my surprise was included in the very small list of reduced items. So I've ordered it.

Our friend (who is ridiculously generous and really spoils us at Christmas despite our protests!) does sometimes give us a puzzle from there - she was the one to introduce us to these puzzles - so if on the very tiny chance she did get this one I should have time to cancel it, but I didn't want to leave it til after we've seen them in case it sells out.

NowBringUsSomeFuzzpiggyPudding · 22/12/2015 15:18

I'm regretting not ordering something else for 2016 too - Thunderbirds Chess. Went down in price and is now back up! Will keep an eye on it though.

colleysmill · 22/12/2015 18:12

Gah gah gah. Massive twitch today with panic run to waitrose for playmobil, cream, pork pie and salad. And got a new door wreath.

I feel better though ( does that count towards cancelling therewith out???)

Baubleicious · 23/12/2015 00:35

Costa card for DH. Impulse buy with the post shop latte. Oh and a selfie tripod for DS1 on sodding Prime.

duckbilled · 23/12/2015 14:46

The twitch got me Xmas Blush.
Got two little blankets with 'baby it's cold outside' on them from Asda for £3.50, perfect for my little ones. Also lovely Starbucks Christmas mug for dh at half price. Xmas Grin

Everythingwillbeok · 23/12/2015 15:17

Ive been so strong willed this year and not twitched once.

But ive got my DD the book ofher favorite film " Goodnight Mr Tom" for her stocking.

She loves this film so much

Then discovered its on at our local theatre on February I couldn't get my bank card out quick enough!

I'm going to hide the tickets inside the book, I can't wait, I really think it overshadow her other presents by a mile.

CremeBrulee · 23/12/2015 16:25

I took DD to see Goodnight Mr Tom in London the year before last - it was wonderful, quite harrowing in places as it should be, but beautifully acted and well staged. The puppets used for the squirrels were amazing! Hope it's the same production & you enjoy it as much as we did!

oobedobe · 23/12/2015 19:57

Ok you got me, I twitched this afternoon, local toy shop had new Season 4 Shopkins arriving today, so I took the DCs off to buy some, not saving them for Christmas day or stocking as they have too much plenty of stuff.

Not a bad idea as they are playing peacefully now Xmas Smile Brew

Taytocrisps · 23/12/2015 20:19

I twitched too Blush. I picked up the Harry Potter DVD box set and a scrap book craft set in the Art & Hobby Shop.

Why didn't I think of 'Goodnight Mr. Tom'

HermioneWeasley · 24/12/2015 13:32

Twitched yesterday. But they were all bargains so not too dramatic!

FattySantaRobin · 24/12/2015 13:41

My mum twitched. She bought DS1 our rugby league teams shirt, DS2 the away shirt and DD a few buts that amount to the same price, so s coat, a dress up outfit a teddy mascot from our rugby league team and a T-shirt. (The shirts are expensive, DS1 is old enough to understand about cost, DS2 is too young to care Xmas Grin)
