So dc presents have been brought for about a month and I am finished all of my Christmas shopping. For the last 7 years (since dd was born) I have stuck to a stocking and 2 gifts from Santa, one from me, one from the sibling and one from the dog giving 5 gifts under the tree (not including extended family and friends gifts) and around 10 little gifts in the stocking. I usually end up with 1 gift that over spills the stocking and today when I got them out to wrap they didn't look big enough to overspill!!
So this evening I have bought a large Donald Duck plush from the Disney store and a large minion from build a bear. This comes 2 days after telling my children they have too many teddies on their beds!! Arghh the twitch got me please say I am not alone Xmas Blush

This thread is giving me more ideas on stuff to twitch on!

Today I decided my nieces and nephews didn't have enough so I bought (between 4 of them, rest have already been posted thank God)
4 selection boxes
2 craft keyring sets
2 card games
4 sheep pencils Hmm

Also bought yet more wrapping paper because it's red and white and matches my 'theme'.

I've recently bought for the dc who have no budget left:

A reaction ball
A Jurassic world dvd
Paw patrol vehicles
Mog book
Katie morAg books
Plop trumps
A fossil Hmm Blush
Subutteo team

CakeNinja · 16/12/2015 02:34

NowBring, sounds like they just need new clothes, holey stained stuff needs replacing - that's not twitching!

NowBringUsSomeFuzzpiggyPudding · 16/12/2015 10:03

True, Cake! Not generally fussed about them wearing nice clothes all the time, but it is getting a bit ridiculous! I'm trying to keep it cheap, I've got them one character t-shirt each which they will LOVE (thunderbirds for DS, nightmare before Christmas for DD) but otherwise will just be nice patterns and colours I think.

On another note I've managed to break the habit of checking the Amazon deals page several times a day...

NowBringUsSomeFuzzpiggyPudding · 16/12/2015 10:04

And pob a fossil is a cool gift! DS is getting a box of tiny fossils in his stocking and DD is getting a box of gemstones but I have a feeling that I shouldn't be telling you that Xmas Grin

SymphonyofShadows · 16/12/2015 11:02

I nipped into Dunelm while passing and got a new washing up bowl (red, naturally), tea towels and 8 assorted moroccan style drinking glasses. Things are getting Out Of Hand.

ElfontheShelfIsWATCHINGYOUTOO · 16/12/2015 11:07

traviata

If its any consolation it does look beautiful Xmas Smile

I twitched in Waitrose this am on two bottles of red and a bottle of reduced champagne one for fil one for aunt.

pob

step away from the thread, your going wild there Xmas Shock

MTWTFSS · 16/12/2015 11:09

Found reduced Kinetic sand in Tesco Blush

theimpossibledream · 16/12/2015 11:21

I've not even started my Christmas shopping yet but you lot have just inspired me to spend £50 in M and S on pjs and clothes the kids wanted so I am grateful for this thread, thank you!

NowBringUsSomeFuzzpiggyPudding · 16/12/2015 12:24

Hmmpph. Now I'm annoyed because the top I reeeally wanted to get DD is not available on click and collect. I'll try and look for it in the shop tomorrow

I put in a tiny H&M order but other than that I think I'll wait and visit Primark/H&M in town tomorrow for basics, maybe asda if I have the energy to get there.

FattySantaRobin · 16/12/2015 12:25

Right, I'm sat in McDonald's with DD (I know I'm just terrible Wink) but I'm surrounded by shops. Boots, hobby craft, toys r us, Argos, m&s, wilkos. Etc. Please tell me not to spend anymore money!

NowBringUsSomeFuzzpiggyPudding · 16/12/2015 12:33

One of the 4 (yes, FOUR!) macdonalds in our town is actually in Asda Hmm

NowBringUsSomeFuzzpiggyPudding · 16/12/2015 12:33

And, erm, Fatty - put the wallet away, k? Xmas Wink

FattySantaRobin · 16/12/2015 12:37

I have a McDonald's in our asda too. We have loads of mcds here. About 5 or 6 I think.

NowBringUsSomeFuzzpiggyPudding · 16/12/2015 12:39

And yet we only have one starbucks (and at least 3 costas that I can think of)

duckbilled · 16/12/2015 13:08

I twitched in m&s today. All toys were half price, but not much left.
Bought a beautiful copy of room on the broom, a sound book of nursery rhymes, peppa pig puzzle and a dear zoo puzzle. I think i will have to put them away for birthdays, they have so much already!

Pobspits · 16/12/2015 13:09

Today I have twitched

Party dress, tights + cardi for dd
Santa Claus outfit for a wine bottle
Christmas cookies
Christmas cat toy

Santa Claus outfit for a wine bottle

Xmas Grin Xmas Grin Xmas Grin

I think you might win the twitch of the year award. That is brilliant (kind of sad we don't drink wine now)

Pobspits · 16/12/2015 13:44

Oh we don't drink wine either...

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 16/12/2015 13:58

Santa Claus outfit for the wine bottle ............ I've just remembered I need to find the guinea-pigs' hats (or buy new ones)

I will Twitch on Friday.
DD on a half day, DS not in school (exams) but has refused to come shopping with me.

I am then very busy (parents ) until I do the late food shop on Wednesday next week.

I am hankering after things I don't need. I have enough bedding, nice smellies, towels (though I need new pillows.............)

we have a new Aldi 5 minutes walk away. I'm tempted to send my DDad round there on Christmas Eve with a bag and £30, he can Twitch like a good'un where there's bargains Xmas Grin

Badders123 · 16/12/2015 14:10

Today I have twitched on;
Star Wars wrapping paper
A card for Dh (we said we weren't bothering this year)
A spider man dress up outfit for Ds2
Blush

FabFlo · 16/12/2015 14:42

Where did you buy the santa claus outfit for a wine bottle?

I want one now!

Xmas Grin

Sorry, I don't know why I keep updating you all on the minutiae of my clothes purchases for the DCs (especially since as Cake kindly pointed out, they aren't really a twitch Xmas Wink) but I've now got a little further - found the top I really wanted for DD on the brand's site along with a voucher code, so that's great, and a blue skirt with it - DD's favourite colour - and ordered a similar themed top and trousers (green - DS' favourite colour) from H&M. There isn't anything else that I couldn't easily get in town so I'll brace myself and go to Primark etc tomorrow. It'll be busy but at least I won't have the DCs with me since DH is off. I need to write a list of what they actually need though, or I'll end up going crazy and buying a full wardrobe's worth. DD definitely needs leggings and tights, and most of her t-shirts are now too short (she did not get her tallness from me!) DS definitely needs a hoodie.

FabFlo · 16/12/2015 15:07

DH just twitched!!

Anyone that knows him knows how shocking this is.

He doesn't normally get involved with present buying and always moans I buy too much.

He's gone and bought dd1 a globe from Lidl of all places on his way home from work.

I am in shock. Even the Xmas twitch has got to him!

FattySantaRobin · 16/12/2015 16:17

Not technically a twitch because its not actually for Christmas, but I ended up buying a big tub if Christmas craft stuff for the DC to do next week Grin

NowBringUsSomeFuzzpiggyPudding · 16/12/2015 16:33

I think, other than getting clothes tomorrow, I am actually properly done! Since I'm mostly reliant on online shopping, it will be easier not to add more stuff as I feel it's cutting it too fine with delivery times.

I just need to stay strong tomorrow in town.
