So dc presents have been brought for about a month and I am finished all of my Christmas shopping. For the last 7 years (since dd was born) I have stuck to a stocking and 2 gifts from Santa, one from me, one from the sibling and one from the dog giving 5 gifts under the tree (not including extended family and friends gifts) and around 10 little gifts in the stocking. I usually end up with 1 gift that over spills the stocking and today when I got them out to wrap they didn't look big enough to overspill!!
So this evening I have bought a large Donald Duck plush from the Disney store and a large minion from build a bear. This comes 2 days after telling my children they have too many teddies on their beds!! Arghh the twitch got me please say I am not alone Xmas Blush

I nearly twitched yesterday on ELC, reductions + extra 20%. resisted though and feel VERY PROUD.

still time though Shock

NowBringUsSomeFuzzpiggyPudding · 14/12/2015 14:37

I got little Beanie Boos instead Xmas Grin a penguin for DS (he's been really wanting one... like mother like son!) and a bat for DD.

I also twitched on some nice colouring pens for the DCs, they kind of needed replacing anyway... Christmas eve is a good excuse time to give them as I'll put the little colouring books my mum got them with it and it might help them wind down.

But I'm getting a puzzle too perhaps...

Apart from that I need to get a dress up outfit for DS but I think that's actually it! Xmas Shock

NowBringUsSomeFuzzpiggyPudding · 14/12/2015 15:24

Oh yeah and a pull up bar thing for DD (going to attach it lower so she can tumble over it)

I got a puzzle and a captain america outfit

I'm done I swear

probably

chrome100 · 14/12/2015 15:51

This is the first year I have successfully not twitched.

I am being very strict with myself.

I think there's only actually a few things that people genuinely want. Once you've got those, everything else just mounts up and becomes a bit meaningless.

Although I do love gift buying and have been ever so tempted to crack and buy more!

Pranmasghost · 14/12/2015 15:51

I twitched too. I found the Star Wars Labyrinth Game at a reasonable price and have bought it between dgs aged 9 and dgs aged 6. I already have main present, small present, books and stocking fillers for them.

Pranmasghost · 14/12/2015 15:53

Glittery you need three cameras not two! If you twitch do it properly !

MTWTFSS · 14/12/2015 15:53

I twitched... then realised I have run out of wrapping paper Shock

FattySantaRobin · 14/12/2015 16:01

You will have to buy more wrapping paper. I need to wrap more presents tonight. I have so many!

CakeNinja · 14/12/2015 16:15

Glittery, I have bought one for dd2 but be warned - the refills are pricey so you must be prepared to shell out otherwise they'll get one use out of them and they'll never be used again!

Right. I think I am actually done. The only thing I could possibly twitch on now is some clothes - DD did actually write clothes on her list. Would just be something from the supermarket though (I'd like to say just a t-shirt but...). And they'll probably just want to wear their Anna dress/captain America outfits anyway (but please oh please NOT during Christmas dinner with gravy!!!). Last year I searched all over for gorgeous t-shirts with studio ghibli designs on but they were a main present. They do actually need some clothes TBF - they are home ed now so their regular clothes are being worn to death, I don't think DD has any leggings without holes in...

I have plenty of wrapping paper. I had to buy more tags today, but that's it (next year I'm going to use sticky labels though, as at least they can't be pulled off by mistake like string/paper tags) I'm sure I'll have some left for next year, particularly the santa paper (which remains hidden from DCs) but I always buy for the next year in the Boots sale.

I am twitching but it is undoubtedly less twitchy than the last few years so that's something!

I've just twitched on stag's head bedding, someone really needs to break my internet

traviata · 15/12/2015 13:18

I have been twitching all weekend, not helped by DS's and DH's birthdays looming in January.

Mindstorms book for DS, Soap & Glory big set for DD, more books, a bag for my DSis and a bag for me.

Now I really, really want Dixit board game after re-reading the board games thread, even though I decided against it at the time and bought two others instead. It now seems the perfect choice for when extended family visit.

I might put the S&G away for next year.

NowBringUsSomeFuzzpiggyPudding · 15/12/2015 13:49

I love soap and glory stuff :) DH used to get it for me when he worked for Boots and got discount :o

What other board games did you get as well as instead of Dixit?

traviata · 15/12/2015 16:24

I got Pandemic and 7 Wonders for us, and Exploding Kittens NSFW for Dnephew.

I also thought I had Mysterium, but the order seems to have been cancelled by Wayland Games. So I could get Dixit to replace Mysterium...

NowBringUsSomeFuzzpiggyPudding · 15/12/2015 16:47

Ah yes you'd probably said that already on this thread or the games one... sorry [memory like a sieve emoticon]

I've heard Mysterium is really hard to get hold of! Shame the order was cancelled. I had similar disappointment with a lego set last year (no I've not got over it yet!) oh well at least Dixit is MUCH cheaper than Mysterium I gather :) so I'd say that's justifiable...

I'm messing about on the Tesco site now. I do get free delivery on clothes over £10 - getting DS the thunderbirds top, and found a really cute set of PJs on sale which is my great-nephew's christmas present sorted too.

lunar1 · 15/12/2015 16:53

My children really don't need the two more amiibo I picked up today. Please take my internet access and cards away.

kiwidreamer · 15/12/2015 19:11

Oh the twitchity twitchness... Iron Man box set, Labyrinth game, Inside Out blu ray and an autobiography --should be grateful that StarLily unicorn is out of stock everywhere as obviously I have no will power--

Not to mention £220 at Tesco this afternoon Shock

SymphonyofShadows · 15/12/2015 19:21

Gah! I've just twitched on a huge photo canvas because DP mentioned in passing that he was thinking of getting an old photo from the 50's blown up. Thank goodness for Martin Lewis and his bargainous codes!

YY to the amiibo btw, I did exactly the same a couple of weeks ago.

CrockedPot · 15/12/2015 19:24

Me too...big time. Me and DH are not supposed to be buying presents, having bought a biggish joint purchase in September. So tonight I went online and bought Ray Bans and aftershave. Because, you know...he wouldn't have anything to open...!

NowBringUsSomeFuzzpiggyPudding · 15/12/2015 21:09

DH suggested today that I buy the DCs some clothes - more and more of their stuff has stains and/or has holes in Blush I've been spending all afternoon online (in bed ill) browsing H&M, Asda etc. Not really ordered clothes for the DCs online much, not sure if it'd be better to brave the shops when I'm in town on Thursday if I'm up to it...

FattySantaRobin · 15/12/2015 21:56

I've just been wrapping and realised just how much I've twitched. Blush

Shockers · 15/12/2015 22:03

I'm not sure whether this would be classed as a twitch, but I've just given DS2 one of his presents... a lovely jumper.

He's got an own clothes day on Thurs and was fretting about wearing a hoody (so last year apparently Wink).

He knows it's one less for Christmas Day, but he was thrilled... and he looks very handsome Smile.

traviata · 15/12/2015 23:05

well whaddya know, one box of Dixit is now on its way. Twitch twitchety twitch.
