Surprisingly calm despite the fact I've still got to:

  1. Wrap DD x3 presents
  2. Assemble Jumperoo and doll swing.
  3. Do food shop
  4. Clean house
I refuse to panics (yet). Merry Christmas all!

That's 3 DDs presents (50+ ahem) not 3 presents total. Won't take more than 1 hour surely?Smile

A bit of cleaning.

ALL of the wrapping still to do shiiiiiiitttt its tradition that we leave this to the last minute, and tradition that every year I will declare - "We're not leaving it until Christmas Eve next year, no way". Xmas Grin

DH has just set off to M&S to collect the turkey order and other things. Mega early but chose this slot to avoid the crush.

I'm not stressing, it'll all be fine, it's only one day... (Mantra).

reallystuckonthisone · 23/12/2014 06:16

Bloody STACKS. Been laid low with am evil virus for 3 days and still have 5-6 people to buy for, most of my wrapping to do and gingerbread and mince pies to make, and that's just what I can think of and I have a full day in work today.
Thank God I'm not hosting. I'd be in proper panic mode now.

MrsHowardRoark · 23/12/2014 06:16

Feeling pretty calm here too despite the long 'To Do' list:

Food shop
Wrap presents x100 (including stocking fillers for 5 people)
Clean house
Masses of laundry

Only 4 things, easy Grin

MercuryRising · 23/12/2014 06:20

I'm glad there are still others with lots to do. I still need to do the food shop, get ds stocking bits, buy presents for 10 plus dp and clean the house. Trying to stay calm especially as I can't buy the final presents until tomorrowSmile

JustMuddlingBobBobBobbingAlong · 23/12/2014 06:20

Food shop
Deliver neighbours cards
Paint nails
A doddle really. Good luck out there!

Eastpoint · 23/12/2014 06:23

Food shop
Wrapping presents

Not too much as only need the turkey, parsnips, sausages & some nibbles for Thursday morning. Out for drinks tonight & Christmas Eve, haircut tomorrow morning at 8 (yes I could have had it cut at any point between September & tomorrow).

BathshebaDarkstone · 23/12/2014 06:24

Buy mince pies for Father Christmas and a carrot for Rudolph
Xmas Grin

MrsPnut · 23/12/2014 06:33

My shopping is arriving this morning, I need to make sausage rolls and mince pies to go in the freezer.
I also have one last present arriving today that I will need to wrap and I need to go to the butchers tomorrow.
I'm going to make every one strip their bed when they get up and will wash all that and remake them before we go to the cinema this afternoon.

18yearstooold · 23/12/2014 06:39

I need to find a duck

Did the food shop yesterday but asda had none in so i'm on a mission today

That's it then i'm done

afreshstartplease · 23/12/2014 06:40

Wrap and deliver presents to friends and family
Wrap almost all of my own dcs presents
Tidy entire house
But some food items I had forgotten on my shop I had delivered

bigbluestars · 23/12/2014 06:42

Loads still to do. Lots of wrapping- I have somone coming to fit a new cooker hood, will take DD for the big food shop this morning, need a new outfit or top for myself as entertaining.

One good thing is that OH is now off from work, my mother is here and I have my niece and her OH staying with us over christmas- so plenty hands to the deck.

Ihearthickson · 23/12/2014 06:47

I'm editing my list. Clean the rooms people will see Smile. And just remembered that I've bought DH tickets to a gig (main present) that haven't been sent yet so need to work out how to present that...

Ihearthickson · 23/12/2014 06:49

Oh and need to add about 4 loads of washing to the list otherwise we'll have nothing to wear. I think I need to start writing a proper list!

Dolallytats · 23/12/2014 06:50

Food shopping is being delivered today, if anything is missing DH will go and get it.

I've just got to ice my Christmas cake and make mince pies. I will do a quick tidy up tomorrow-although bathroom and kitchen will be done today, because my children are messy so there's no point in doing it before then.

I have decided this year that I'm not worrying about it, it's just a day an the flat will be a tip by 6.30am so there's no point in breaking my back!!

CaisleanDraiochta · 23/12/2014 06:52

-Still have 40 ish presents to wrap despite being up all night wrapping (worked out I'll have wrapped close to 200 this year-madness!) Waiting for three that haven't been delivered yet

-Try to make the house look less of a mess (too much stuff) and make some room for even more stuff

Several visits to the tip with the bags of stuff i've already cleared. also food waste too as we are a Thursday bin collection, so won't get it taken for over 2 weeks

-Finish putting up decorations, then put boxes back into loft. They are currently around the bottom of the ladder and DC are concern FC won't be able to get down

-Pick up a few bits of food shopping. I've had my online order but need a few things i forgo to ask for and replace what has already been eaten

-Ice the cake and make mince pies (might not bother and just get shop bought)

-Write cards and deliver (might not get round to this or do e-cards instead)

-Spend time with DC watching films and playing games (also unlikely due to above Sad

Nativity3 · 23/12/2014 06:57

I am heading to M and S to collect the turkey in a minute and a few last minute bits.
Then we are taking the dc to see Nativity 3 and then back here for house clean up. I started yesterday. Hoping I can get it all done in 4 hours. We have people here tomorrow so Christmas starts then and I need everything to be ready. I haven't checked all the Christmas Day outfits are ready either, I need to hang them all up but haven't for round to it yet Xmas Blush

Slubberdegullion · 23/12/2014 06:58

Pick up the gammon.

Make some mince pies.

Make a girdlebuster pie.

Peel the sprouts.

Nativity3 · 23/12/2014 06:59

And I have about 10+ loads of washing I need to get all done. I had the stupid idea to pile it all up rather than leave it in bedrooms but now it looks like a mountain! Hope I can get it all done and dry!

HopeAndChristmasStories · 23/12/2014 07:00

Tidy everywhere
Finish making hampers (just need to put the homemade tags on them)
Prepare for a party tonight and make pizza dough
Prepare Christmas dinner (tomorrow)
Make mulled wine and hot spiced apple juice for tonight
Make a trifle
Buy some more buffet food
Sort out the presents for guests tonight (they're all wrapped, just need to find them!)

Think that's it!

ClaimedByMe · 23/12/2014 07:07

Tidy and clean everything and everywhere
Loads of laundry, clean and dirty
Tesco shop coming this morning
Butcher meat needs picked up today
Still waiting on 2 Amazon parcels
Do my dads wrapping for my mum

Did I mention my dc are still in school today so I need to drop them off and pick them up too...

Minisoksmakehardwork · 23/12/2014 07:13

Wrap all the xmas pressies (bottle of baileys chilling for that task tonight)
Put empty boxes from decs in loft
Clean
De-mouse our bedroom!

Thumbnutstwitchingonanopenfire · 23/12/2014 07:19

Me:
Wrap everything
Put up stockings and fill them
Make more mince pies, since they keep eating them and we need at least one for Father Christmas
Buy a Christmas card for MIL from the boys, the only one I've forgotten

DH:
Finish constructing the cubbyhouse for the garden so it can be put out on Christmas Eve.

I think that's it.

Happypiglet · 23/12/2014 07:29

Clean bathroom
Collect turkey
Wait for Sainsburys delivery and get anything missing
Hoover house
Church practice for kids for nativity service
Deliver one present to a friend who has been away.
Feeling relatively prepared.....
