Surprisingly calm despite the fact I've still got to:

  1. Wrap DD x3 presents
  2. Assemble Jumperoo and doll swing.
  3. Do food shop
  4. Clean house
I refuse to panics (yet). Merry Christmas all!

  1. Food shop (this morning!)
  2. Wrap about 50 things. (So hard to do around the kids!)
  3. Clean house.
  4. Laundry.
arlagirl · 23/12/2014 07:38

I've been away for a few days to get some peace from h...middle of divorce and the atmosphere is not good.
So have to get food and do cleaning.

ohtheholidays · 23/12/2014 07:40

Buying something else for my Dad,brother and sister in law to go with the pressies we've already got them.
Want to grab two electric toothbrushes today for the oldest two's stockings and 3 sets of headphones for the 3 youngest stockings.
Need to buy some flowers and go visit my Mum's grave, first Christmas without her.
Must grab the oldest some jewellery(keep forgetting)and wrap that and the other 9 presents I'll have to wrap. That's only 3 shops and 2 of them are local so not as bad as it seems Xmas Smile
Normal housework, strip the beds and get the bedding washed.
Pick up some fresh bits for Christmas and that's it,I think.

Turquoisetamborine · 23/12/2014 08:10

Find Championship Manager 2015 for the PC for H and buy.
Wrap that and another present.
Drop presents off for family today.
Tidy house.
Ensure friend is making a birthday cake for son's birthday on Boxing Day.
Find stocking presents.
Decide on a starter and do a small food shop tomorrow but H is mostly in charge of that.

Annietheacrobat · 23/12/2014 08:13

2 days of work. Wrap DDs x2 presents. Tidy house . Construct 4 chairs. Cook curry. Rebuy all the bits that ocado had run out of. Make mince pies. Eat celebrations.

LePetitMarseillais · 23/12/2014 08:21

Got to wrap everything,beds,bathrooms,ironing,mince pies....

Sending dh out with the dc for as long as he can hold out

WUME · 23/12/2014 08:24

Assemble bike, dolls cot and dolls pram - but none of that can be done till the dc are in bed on Xmas eve.

Cook mince pies.

Buy dd1 a camera tomorrow - my very last twitch

Tomorrow go and buy all veg and fresh food which I can't do till tomorrow.

I've done everything I can and today is a craft/baking day with the dc. Tomorrow will be Go Go Go.

Dinnerfor1 · 23/12/2014 08:26

I need to make a cheese cake and some potato salad for Christmas day tea.

I need to figure out where I've hidden dd's stocking!

Luckily I only need to wrap one more present and then I'm done!

didireallysaythat · 23/12/2014 08:26

Very jealous of every one who was smart enough to book this week off work (I ran out if holiday early this year - I blame the chicken pix). I'm hoping we get told to go home early on Xmas eve.....

Toddlerfuntimes · 23/12/2014 08:32

Clean the house, 3 loads of washing and ironing. Get washing dry so I can pack to go to parents house tomorrow. Wrap a few presents which I forgot about. Make sure I have everything for a 3 night trip for 2 adults toddler and dog. Take cat to Cattery. Relax and watch christmas vacation which I haven't managed to do yet this year. Happy christmas.

wfrances · 23/12/2014 08:35

I dare not think about it.
I need to do The Food Shop.
Sort the house out which is a disaster. and I have optimistically booked a hair appointment for today.

SecretSpy · 23/12/2014 08:42

and only the children's presents and stockings are done

123Jump · 23/12/2014 08:51

This year I decided to be organised. Did get ahead gravy etc in Nov.I wrapped as I went. Neighbours are away and have been storing all Santa stuff, so will just have to transfer it into ours tomorrow.
I've even put toddlers kitchen together.
All food is bought or baked already, although I did go to M&S at 5am to get my turkey!
House work all done, have a cleaner, just need to change sheets on our bed, others all done. Ironing done. We are heading to see Santa this evening, and DH will take the kids for haircuts when he is up and I shall get some sleep.
I'm currently finishing off some Chiil for tonight's dinner.
Organised is my middle name, woo hoo!!
However, I was awake all night due to onset of horrible cold thing. Blocked nose, very sore throat and my sinus is agony on one side of my face. Sad
You can't win.
Hope you all get everything done and have a happy Christmas.

Purpleflamingos · 23/12/2014 08:58

Ds had a very high temp last night so I put the fan on him and couldn't sleep. Which was good because most of the present wrapping was done whilst periodically checking on ds. There's about 4 things left to wrap which is doable.
The shop is getting done tonight after dinner at my mums (hoping she will be kind enough to babysit) as there is a supermarket near her.

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 23/12/2014 09:03

Need to tidy and clean, store some stuff in the shed/under the stairs which is on show. Wash leather sofas abloodygain as what was the point in cleaning them 3 days ago? They're covered in chocolate handprints and a very clear muddy trainer print Xmas Angry Actually I think I'll make the kids do that, with babywipes.

LOTS of washing to fold and put away, lots still to wash.

Need to re-decorate the kids Christmas tree again as the baby has stripped it bare and it looks depressed.

Gingerbread to cut out and bake (already made the dough) and mince pies to make if I get time. Can't find star cutter, may have to improvise, will have a root about the playdough box. (Rabbit shape? Perhaps a christmas digger)

Friends coming over later so I need to make a little party tea for them, but can't actually do it til they're here as they're lovely but flaky friends who often don't turn up after I've scrubbed the house, made special trip to the shop to get gluten free stuff/baked.

Er.... let's see. Wrapping presents, I'm about halfway through so not too bad. Have warned dp I'll be enlisting his help with it so he doesn't sit on his arse all night again while I do it all Still need a couple of large giftbags.

Did food shop last night, forgot milk, cheese, stuffing, binbags, and beer for Uncle John. Need electric and gas (probably) and dp's prescription picking up.

I was going to clean the kitchen rug if I got the chance, too. Kids need bathing later. Need to sort out nice outfits for when family visit Christmas eve too.

I'm sure there's something I've forgotten. Xmas Hmm

AuntieStella · 23/12/2014 09:05

Wrapping.

Tidying which is never ending anyhow

Remember to get stuff out of freezer

(Doesn't seem too bad compared to other lists!)

Purpleflamingos · 23/12/2014 09:06

I must add, I might sound organised today but I've had a grand total of 4 hours of broken sleep.

CalamitouslyWrong · 23/12/2014 09:07

I am uncharacteristically organised this year. I have even done the food shop (in sainsbury's last night, which was hoaching at 9pm).

All I need to do is:
Pick up a case for Dh's present from JL click and collect thus morning
Buy a bottle of fancy wine for BIL and SIL
Wrap the above
Pick up some apples and cider for the red cabbage (that I forgot in the rumpus that was sainsbury's last night)

Tomorrow we're doing a nice festive family activity and then it's christmas.

ChocolateNutsAndCreamLiquer · 23/12/2014 09:08

Hell Fire ! I thought I was behind. Some of you have a mountain to climb. I live in the southern hemisphere, so it's 10pm on 23rd December ! I've just got over the mini drama of a cancelled order that was a present. I've found an alternative provider that will deliver on Christmas Eve.

Tomorrow I will (with the aid of my husband)

Make sherry trifle (better buy some sherry)
Make home made sausage rolls
Prep veg
Prep sausages in bacon

Sort evening barbeque and salad and boiled new potatoes.

Find some time to wrap my husband's presents, two of them and write his card.

TheOnlyPink · 23/12/2014 09:12

Oh God, I was going to post my very smug short to do list, but you all have reminded me of things I've forgotten! Serves me right!
Got most of the cleaning done yesterday because my dad and sister are saints and took the kids for the day.

Clean front Windows
Make nigellas choc chip chilli
Bake some gf brownies
Tesco shop coming at some point (I hope)
Change bed sheets
Iron clothes for Xmas eve party tomorrow
Go out to buy batteries and mince pies (forgot to order the pies and as a previous poster reminded me, I need one for Santa!)

Hoping that's it!

CalamitouslyWrong · 23/12/2014 09:13

18 years too old, sainsbury's had loads of ducks last night. So I'd imagine most of the supermarkets are pretty well stocked with them.

agoodbook · 23/12/2014 09:17

I don't have a list- maybe thats why I was laid in bed last night not sleeping wondering what I had left to do/ had forgotten Grin
Do have to go to my allotment and dig up parsnips leeks and sprouts
Wrap presents
Clean bathrooms
Make up spare bedroom for visitors
Ironing mountain
Ice Cake
drop of christmas box for paper boy
Thats all I can think of, but I'm sure there is more...

JustMuddlingBobBobBobbingAlong · 23/12/2014 09:17

Breezed round Sainsburys between 7 and 8am this morning. It was very quiet and relaxed. Feeling very chilled and smug. I've forgotten something important, haven't I ?!
