Hi all, just wanted to update to say our claim was accepted, today at 1am the back date money appeared in my bank on my birthday. My scan date was 16th June, no diagnosis, just a very detailed application. Good luck to everyone still waiting. They called me fri said I'd know in 10 days and 3 working days later it's there!!! Such a huge relief.

Honestly such a relief I've been so stressed with worry, the wait has killed me but it was worth it in the end for sure 😁

Can I ask what evidence you sent and how old your child is? We are 15 weeks today (14th June) and starting to lose the will. My son is 3 and suspected ASD and non verbal.
Happy birthday by the way 😃

Of course - he is 2 and a half and has no official diagnosis but we have had lots of input and referrals from health visitor and have attended various ASD support groups through our local children's centre. The referrals were made due to high asq scores at his milestone HV appointments. She said neurotypical kids score around 50 and he scored 250, he is on ASD pathway awaiting child development clinic, he has speech delay and we have a key worker assigned. I basically sent every single letter, printed all the texts and email exchanges etc. He has an ISP from nursery. I filled the form out saying please see attached notes for almost every question and then wrote a booksworth of information. I detailed everything. I had support filling out the form from a local charity which I think really helped. I really hope you get the outcome you and your son deserve. It shouldn't be like this and the wait is ridiculous. Thank you for the birthday wishes currently just landed in Tenerife so it's definitely a good day even though it's 2.30am haha

Aw thank you. Have a brilliant holiday.
We have portage involvement , HV wrote a letter to say he has signs of gdd. Nursery wrote statements to say he is a risk and needs constant supervision. I hope this is enough! X

BoyMumGirlMum2022 · 26/09/2023 17:43

@MummyBrx You have the same scan date as my LB. This wait is absolutely excruciating. I've applied for him once before and was denied, due to his main medical concern being his mobility. So waited until he turned 3 to reapply. Hoping to hear something soon but I'm not holding out much hope for it being in the next week or so!

Edited

Really hope we get good news it's a horrible wait. Now it's getting closer it's worse haha but seems a lot of end of may dates getting to DM so shouldn't be too much longer

Chels2020 · 27/09/2023 07:18

17 weeks today 31/05 scan date rang yesterday they said not with a dm yet so fingers crossed not much longer to wait now the last 2 weeks have been hardest

24/03 coc claim 27 weeks Friday still nothing from that either

good luck to everyone today

Jaymum12 · 27/09/2023 08:38

@Lau523 Congratulations 🥳, did you receive a message or anything indicating you’ve been awarded or just noticed funds in your account? My scan date is the same 25/5 and I’m really stressing now.

almightyfroggie · 27/09/2023 08:39

Is there a certain day of the week for the initial payment to be done? Or can it be any day of the week? X

Mumtotwoboys121 · 27/09/2023 08:41

I’m 15 weeks today. Going to give them a call this morning to see where we’re at x

Lau523 · 27/09/2023 08:42

No i didnt get a text the money was just in my account. I did get a letter and then a text on the 1st and 21st of August saying they were looking at my claim. Try and call them hopefully you will hear this week

Ratfinkstinkypink · 27/09/2023 08:44

I've woken up this morning to a back payment of £639, had no letter, no texts but I think that he now has HRM too which would mean I can get him his wheelchair accessible vehicle! It will make a huge difference to our lives.

Congrats! This is great news. Can I ask what rate you got? You sent the exact evidence as I did and your LO sounds exactly like mine. Hopefully I hear soon scan date 13/06
