Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Ktkat90 · 26/09/2023 18:46

I sent exactly the same evidence so hoping for same award :)

Mummyof6love · 26/09/2023 19:23

So I just got a ban on a DLA Facebook group by breaking the rules asking about someone’s decision so I’m hoping some of you lovely people could answer for me. If you have been awarded…did you get a text, you call, they call or money in bank? I’m 17 week’s Thursday and the wait is driving me loopy. I’ve had no letters or texts at all so I’m not sure what I will get first.

BoatsAndHoes · 26/09/2023 19:37

That Facebook group pisses me right off, reading the fucking long list of rules I'm not sure what you actually ARE allowed to bloody post about.

xox4598 · 26/09/2023 19:44

i was 17 weeks today and called and they told me he had been awarded

Mummyof6love · 26/09/2023 20:00

@BoatsAndHoes i removed myself, I couldn’t be dealing with that. Only asked a bloody question. Unless reported as annoying, they could have just left it.
@xox4598 I have a free day tomorrow so I am gonna call but I’m a nervous wreck tbh. Since week 15…everyday I’ve been checking ect. I phoned once to be told I had to wait. Fingers crossed I have an answer tomorrow-a good answer would be nice.

CHDmumma · 26/09/2023 20:38

@BoatsAndHoes & @Mummyof6love I have just removed myself from that group as a hour or so ago they put up more rules! It's so annoying as people finding out scan dates/texts etc really helps. They said a few days ago that the dwp don't actually go by scan dates 🤔

Mummyof6love · 26/09/2023 20:47

@CHDmumma personally, I like to know how and when people find out their decisions as it gives me some idea whether to give in and make the call-not easy with a non verbal, ASD, T1 4 year old at home. Whether or not DWP don’t go by scan dates, it still gives me and idea of actual facts from people who have been awarded/refused. And of course, if people don’t want to give that info out, that’s equally fine. I just didn’t like I wasn’t allowed to ask! I couldn’t cope with the amount of rules. Not a FB page for me that’s for sure. Xx

I am in total agreement with you hun, seeing the dates gives me hope my boys isn't too far away and this whole ordeal could potentially be over. This woman was so sure the dates mean nothing I was stunned because whats the point in that system?!

Anyone should be allowed to ask anything and if the op doesn't want to answer so be it but banning people is just ridiculous. It's not a group for me either it doesn't seem helpful in the slightest with these new rules.

Mummytodo · 26/09/2023 21:04

@CHDmumma found this thread just to post the same about the FB group. The rules are ridiculous

Mummyof6love · 26/09/2023 21:17

I’m so pleased Im not alone with my feelings about that FB page/group.
Update for others. My scan date is 01/06. 1 letter received stating scan date. No other contact. I phoned last week to be told it’s 19 weeks. Also added my mobile number as I only put my house number on form. Only sent paediatric letter stating lots of autism traits, referred for ADOS assessment (looking at January next year) Paed is happy to sign off autism diagnosis and a recent Speech and Language report. Nothing in that states anything about autism, just his speech struggles. Wrote as much as I could on form but I’m not hopeful. More I think, the more I’m sure I didn’t do the form good enough. Son-5 years old. Hoping I will get some answers soon. Wish I had more contact from them but nothing ☹️ The last couple of weeks has been hard but this thread (and parts 12&13) have been great! Best of luck to all waiting for answers 😊

Mummytodo · 26/09/2023 21:26

My form scanned 15th June, received two letters saying 15 week wait. I have received two texts to say still looking at the claim, one on the 21st aug one on the 12th September. Nothing since.

I sent off confirmation of acceptance for ASD pathway, recent SALT report advising my daughter uses echolalia but is unable to communicate wants and needs and struggles with social communication both verbal and non verbal communication. Also a health visitor letter , a sleep diary and plan from th continence nursery as she is still in nappies at 4 years old.

I am feeling abit wary of if she will qualify for dla as we have just been declined to assess for echna citing not enough evidence from current provision as she just started school. It's really knocked me.

Just hope she gets DLA so I can take her to Sen activities

Hellomumof5here · 26/09/2023 21:27

Hi, I’m new here, I just wondered if anyone could tell me if there second letter said 15 weeks wait? I received my second letter and first text last week, I’m only at 10 weeks tomorrow so have a while to go

Hellomumof5here · 26/09/2023 21:33

Did both letters said 15 weeks before you got ti the 15th week?

zoeybrooks45 · 26/09/2023 21:42

xox4598 · 26/09/2023 17:30

hey i rang today found out my lb just turned 3as been awarded hrc i requested forms 14th of april they were due back 26th may but scanned 30th may theyve awarded from 14th april i didnt realy send much information just a salts referral and pediatrician referral appointment letter i was expected a decline so dont give up hope guys xx

This is great to hear, congrats. Did you apply cause LO is ASD awaiting diagnosis? My LO is under 3 aswell. Makes me doubt if we will be successful even though we sent tons of evidence.

Mummytodo · 26/09/2023 21:43

@Hellomumof5here yes I just ch cled got the 2nd letter dated 2 August it says 15 weeks but I can see most people are 17-18 weeks

Sskanf · 26/09/2023 21:48

Hi, my letters stated 15 week wait time also. Not sure if it varies depending on different towns etc as everyones been told different wait times. My txt didn't state a wait time

Tiredmamma74 · 26/09/2023 22:04

I called today, I’m 15 weeks this Thursday. Lovely lady said I’m in a group that are taking 17 weeks and to call in 2 weeks

CHDmumma · 26/09/2023 22:20

@Mummytodo I completely agree, I understand they only have a certain amount of people to help in the group but what's the point of having a support group I'd they are just going to go around banning people.

Our scan date is 31/5 x

Definitely not alone in that. Our scan date is 31/5, I called the 13th Sept and was told we should hear by the 27th as it was taking 17 weeks........well tomorrow is the 27th 🤞 I was fine until sun/Mon but the anxiety is really kicking in x

Mummyof6love · 26/09/2023 22:26

@CHDmumma keep me posted. I’ll have everything crossed for you. I’m gonna attempt to call tomorrow when I’m home from the school runs. Hopefully will have an update. I’ll let you know also xx

Mummytodo · 26/09/2023 22:39

I just don't get the rules there so many they would be better posting what you can do rather then what you cannot do

Mummytodo · 26/09/2023 22:40

@CHDmumma @Mummyof6love I am 15 weeks today and based in Derbyshire will let you know if I hear anything

CHDmumma · 26/09/2023 22:44
