due to a family bereavement I'm struggling to get my eldest sons renewal finished as I've been pushed into dealing with probate etc. his claim is to 28th December and I'm setting myself a goal of sending the form by November 1st at the latest. do people think this will be sufficient time to get it done

@Stressedsoph1 sorry for.your loss. I would have thought that was OK my friend always sends her 2 weeks before and always gets looked at the same week they receive it. I'm not sure how lol, I'm not sure if that's because it's renewal they always look closer to the end of renewal date. Maybe call them if your not sure. X

@Mummy335 please please please make sure you call, if you have time!! I called after seeing the post of the MR awarded. Was on hold
for ages to be told oh it’s not been looked at yet, it’s been sat in a pile waiting to be looked at 🥴🥴🥴🥴 he said it’s around 3 weeks, oh it’s nearly been 3 weeks already!! I’ll send it on to the case manager now!! I even called at the end of September to make sure they had received it as the date was coming close to a month from when it had been rejected so I wanted to make sure they knew I had sent it back in time!!

Hey I didn't ring today as was in work earlier than usual how ever I got a text this afternoon saying we've been awarded ... I don't know rates but hopefully you should hear soon also :) xxx

@Mummy335 oh no, I’ve not been awarded!! They hadn’t even looked at my case despite having it for 2 & 1/2 weeks!! If I hadn’t called,
god knows if/when they would of even noticed it!! It’s pretty shocking they can have something sat there and not actioned despite their own 3
week timeframe xx

@Muva306 oh 😆 my bad didn't read it properly. Yeah that is bad. I'm gonna try tomorrow hopefully get through, I'm probably going to get the same response as only 2 weeks.Hope you hear soon x

How long does it usually take for the award Letter to arrive ? Xx

A question for people who have been awarded and had to update UC, how long did it take to get a decision for the backpay from UC? I have been waiting around 2 weeks for a reply lol just wondering everybody's experience :)

@Muva306 after waiting for 2hours for them to answer turns out they received the information but that's it, it was just scanned to system not gone anywhere so was told the same as you she said she will send it through as MR and then it will go to a case manager.

NO WAY!!! @Mummy335 i am so glad I called and encouraged you to call now too!! How bad is that?!? They say they wants the MR back within a month and then they do absolutely eff all with them after they have been scanned!! I am assuming they must have some type of electronic CRM (customer relationship manager) system that works with timescales, for them to be able to audit their timeframes ect. So what have our MRs just sat there teaching their end dates with them not even bothering to look at them!! What date was yours received back/scanned in? Hearing they have done this to you too, gives me no faith what
so ever!!!

Hi all been on these threads for a while but keep loosing track of the new threads 🤣 I managed to get my 9 year old accepted for dla start of this year she had a EHCP in place for severe dyslexia, phonological disorder and no memory core aswell as anxiety thought she would be declined but the school sen was brilliant with the form and got her accepted, not long after that my youngest joined full time and was basically pulled straight to the side and concerns were expressed for her behaviour etc, fast forward a few weeks after she's on the waiting list for a ADHD assessment, she's been diagnosed with flat foot and hypermobility (scored 9 out of 9) on the scale, because we noticed a lot of head shaking, Mobility in hands etc. I've sent ot reviews etc with her diagnosis on but still don't feel it's enough my scan date is 26th June so still have until end of October to hear anything by the looks of it. But can't help but feel like she's going to be declined and after such a long wait I will be so disheartened 😪 feels like I've done nothing but wait for answers off dla all this year though 🤣 xxx

@Muva306 I think 28th September. No idea. Surely they must have seen it was an MR as it said on letter looks like we'll be waiting like we've just sent them in as I got told 3 weeks from when case manager receives it,even though been 2weeks already and yours is nearly 4 weeks? We would've been waiting for nothing if we hadn't have called 😕x

That’s the worrying thing @Mummy335 how long would we have waited if we hadn’t called!! I even called on 28th September to make sure they were aware that I had sent the forms in, so it’s not like they haven’t had any interaction with me. They obvs have notes on file of when people have called so why didn’t that trigger something off to let them know to start the process off xx

Not with dm and she said end of next week should be with DM

I guess we are all are that stage where we just want to know so that we could prep for the MR

@Mummy335 just called to let them know he had been given his 2nd Autism assessment for next month and they told me he was awarded yesterday!! HRC and then when he turned 5 in July they added LRM award until 2030! I am so over the moon that I did the MR
