It's looking like we're going to need a new thread. Good luck to everyone waiting for a decision. Our scan date is 02/11 so it could be any day now, but most likely another week or two.

Good luck this week everyone hope we all hear something soon! Find this thread so comforting nice to know I’m not alone in this horrible wait! Xx

Honeypie91 · 30/01/2023 09:56

Good luck , hopefully they have a decision for you 🙏🏼

Christinaja · 30/01/2023 10:05

@Girlmum11 give them a call.. you could of had a decision made, depends how quickly the DM gets through the claims.. I have seen someone been awarded same date as you. Good luck!!

Girlmum11 · 30/01/2023 10:56

@Christinaja oh really? It’s crazy that you haven’t had a decision but someone on my day has. The lady who is a day after me hasn’t even gone to a dm yet 🙈 I’ll try to pluck up the courage to do it. I’ll let you know 🥰

Christinaja · 30/01/2023 11:15

@Girlmum11.. i think some peoples claims take longer to get a decision if not much evidence has been sent in so alot of chasing about ringing professionals to confirm. So others get pushed back until that claim has a decision made. Some are more straight forward than others. its such a long wait and being at the end seems to be worse out of the whole wait.. wishing you luck!!

Girlmum11 · 30/01/2023 11:24

@Christinaja well that will be mine then because I sent hardly anything. Literally a letter from her therapist who wrote basically nothing which I was fuming about & the asd referral has only been sent in December so we haven’t had nothing back from that yet. The schools report was really detailed though. They have finally sent me a plan through from school do you think that will class as evidence?

Christinaja · 30/01/2023 11:39

@Girlmum11 I wouldn't worry, I have seen people get awarded sending in no evidence what so ever.. I haven't send a whole lot in tbh.. letter from speech therapy who see's my son every 2 week happy with that report.. a letter of health visitor that is short but says what's most important e.g globle development delay waiting for asd diagnosis and that he has terrible sleep pattern.. also a letter from his Paediatrician telling his struggles and that she is more than happy for me to send the letter off to support dla claim.. its still hard to think positive when it's taking so long!!

Christinaja · 30/01/2023 11:40

My son does not go nursery yet he is on a waiting list for a special needs nursery as he needs 1-1 . So I have no evidence regarding this

Christinaja · 30/01/2023 11:51

@Girlmum11 I think that the report from the school is substantial enough especially if they have done a detailed one.

Girlmum11 · 30/01/2023 12:12

@Christinaja oh I hope so 🤞 I called to ask about sending more evidence in & if it was to late & the fella just gave me a different number. He wasn’t very nice so I didn’t ask him anything 🙈 I’ll try the other number & see what they say.

Chaz5rascals · 30/01/2023 12:48

@WreckTangled week 11 here too! Without being rude do you mind telling me a little about the private assessment you had done? 😊

Nothighgaprequired · 30/01/2023 13:45

got decision today, dla to pip for 16 year old. Paper assessment, 3 weeks from going to dm for letter to arrive with the award, higher for both. So relived! Has been award until 2029.

Mynotsoperfectlittlefamily · 30/01/2023 13:59

My scan date was 27/10, spoke to them this morning and they said it was with the case manager, a couple of hours later I got a text to say it was awarded. So I rang them back and they said it was HRC and LRM, and the back pay should be in this week. Hopefully others around this time will hear good news soon!

Snickerdoodles19 · 30/01/2023 13:59

@Nothighgaprequired what’s the process of swapping over like?

gingergingerginger · 30/01/2023 14:06

Congratulations both! Great news.

Jackiesand · 30/01/2023 14:40

My scan date is the 30/10 I phoned today a lovely man said it will go to dm this week I’m just worried because all I sent in was my sons My plan and his ECHP he has sensory issues and has to wear ear defenders in a busy places he can’t hold a knife or fork and can’t grip a pencil and is way behind his peers at school he has one to one teaching. Praying I hear something by the end of the week.
