DLA Wait Times Part 8 (2023)

It's looking like we're going to need a new thread. Good luck to everyone waiting for a decision. Our scan date is 02/11 so it could be any day now, but most likely another week or two.

Hey all I have been hanging on to this thread like a life line I havnt commented before but my 12yr old daughter has asd and add she recently had a new consultant that doesn't know her I was made to feel like utter crap because she is over weight I tried to explain her sensory is taste and texture wich results in her binging I have tried My best she is now being referred to cardio because her blood pressure was minute elevated wich she always has because she gets very anxious at the docs but this consultant was horrible to me I cried when I left because I felt so bad any ideas on sensory swaps guys I have tried chewy toys she chews through them I have had 3 solid days of meltdowns because she thinks I am putting her on a diet because of what she looks like I have tried to explain it because of her health she doesn't understand so far I have found pickles work as a low cal high taste swap any ideas

That give me hope my is 22/11 it was a reniew but I missed the dead line so got put in the working cue still no word good luck

Hey all! Rang this morning and got told the same as a few others 15-17 week wait for new claims - they scanned onto the system 30/11 so think we are on week 10 of waiting, looking like it will be mid to end of March.. why is the wait so draining

I'm new here and have been following for a while was wondering if anyone has recently done a coc? Mine was scanned on 13/11 I’m just wondering if the wait times , this is for mobility (just turned 5) we already get hrc? Thank you

Hi all my son got awarded on Wednesday MRC do I have to let Tax credits know and if so do that get back dated as well.

Hi congratulations it'll get backdated from ur scan date so whe they received ur form I do belive mine is 22/11 so still a wait when was ur scan date if u don't mind me asking ?x

When you already have the care element and apply for mobility, it's classed as change of circumstances rather than a new claim. The wait is about 26 weeks for that at the moment. A friend of mine returned their mobility part in September and still waiting.

Hey so I finally got awarded. And I get the back payment Tuesday! So I let universal credit know and they said she’s now entitled to disability element and that’ll be backdated from when I claimed… does anyone here know how long that takes? Sorry we are like poooor so all the pennies really can help.

Hello my sons dla claim was scanned 22/11/22 still heard nothing anyone else with this date still waiting it’s driving me mad when I call there all telling me diffrent ?

Little update, the dm wanted to speak with school senco so couldn't make a decision until then, I recieved an email from school this morning saying its school policy to not fill the forms in which I didn't ask them to, and it's also a gesture of goodwill to deal with dla but at this time they can't speak to them, not sure what really happens now and the lady at dla didn't no either. Honestly school make the easiest thing hard x

I called this morning to find out what was happening. My scan date was 29th November and apparently its still in a holding queue and I should hear in four weeks time which is the week beginning the 20th March....

I was a 21/11 scan date and still nothing...... From reading here I think it must be in teh end game but not sure for certain!

Hiya did you not send a letter in from the senco? You could ask for a general letter that’s how my school senco did it. What supporting evidence did you provide?

Hey, I called on Friday and was told at least another 2 weeks so I didn't bother calling this week and I woke up to the money in my bank this morning xx

I'm guessing it was awarded on Monday xx

We were awarded on Friday with a scan date of 14/11. Under 14 weeks so I’m shocked. There is a new thread for those who haven’t seen it, someone has kindly posted the link above.

so happy for you nothing better than seeing our little people get what they deserve life’s hard enough without set backs fingers crossed 🤞🏻 not much longer for us with the end of November date

Scan date 22/11 I was told another couple weeks I’m going to call today and see if there’s any update I’ll let you know the outcome probs told the same again or maybe 15 weeks again like I was 2 weeks ago 🤦‍♀️😂
