It's looking like we're going to need a new thread. Good luck to everyone waiting for a decision. Our scan date is 02/11 so it could be any day now, but most likely another week or two.

Thanks for your help. It might be worth a phonecall to them to check. Argh! It’s so stressful isn’t it?

Good luck. Yes give them a call. I made a decision this time to call only every Friday as it got closer so I didn’t worry about it too much.

Girlmum11 · 27/01/2023 14:56

@Vikmomof3 thank you so much 26/10 for me. I’m dreading it I barely sent any evidence as I was still waiting for a lot of it. I’ve just had a plan through from school but I think it might be to late to send x

Neikz · 27/01/2023 14:57

My scan date 28/11 I called on Monday I was told I should get my decision with 4 and a half weeks

Millipeed · 27/01/2023 15:04

Good luck everyone. This waiting game is feeling like forever now. Scan date 18/11

Mumofboysteamginge · 27/01/2023 15:04

Vikmomof3 · 27/01/2023 15:19

@Girlmum11 have you phoned them I phoned yesterday the man said mine would go in to dm today or Monday and my scan date is the 27th

Girlmum11 · 27/01/2023 15:40

@Vikmomof3 no I haven’t rang I’m to scared incase they say declined I don’t want them to hear me cry 🤣 I think it would be to late for more evidence now if they’re going today or Monday to a dm. Oh well what will be will be.🤞 for everyone xx

Vikmomof3 · 27/01/2023 15:45

@Girlmum11 I wouldn't stress (easily said than done I know) but I have seen alot of people been awarded on here with no evidence at all so my fingers are crossed for you, and all the other mom's that are waiting too

Chaz5rascals · 27/01/2023 16:14

@Girlmum11 I don’t want to say something that’s incorrect but I’m sure I’ve seen somewhere when people have new evidence but haven’t got time to post it they phone up and a note will be made on your file describing said evidence.

Hello again everyone, scan date 14/11 here I expect it to be another few weeks.

Honeypie91 · 27/01/2023 16:56

I just called the man was so nice ! He said they are working over time and working weekends to get through the claims , he said my claim should go to the dm tonight or tomorrow , absolute latest Monday and then it will only be a couple of days till It’s awarded , he said I should know within a week max 🙏🏼

Girlmum11 · 27/01/2023 16:56

Lostatsea10 · 27/01/2023 17:26

Thanks for the new thread. I’m 23/11 for a scan date so another few weeks yet but as we get closer it’s becoming all consuming and all I can think about!

I get this, I was able to put it to the back of my mind until this last week knowing the date is getting closer. Panicking that I've not sent enough evidence or messed the forms up somewhere!

WreckTangled · 27/01/2023 18:10

I’ve been lurking, scan date 14/11 feel a bit of a fraud as my son’s needs are as high as others. He has selective mutism and sensory processing issues. I included two pages of additional info plus private OT and SALT report. He’s on the waiting list for CAMHS but it’s a 2-3 year wait and I’ve heard they only offer talking therapy 😂

Sarahc91 · 27/01/2023 18:20

Commenting to keep on the thread new here scan date 19/1/23 so a long wait for me lol

Donna2324 · 27/01/2023 18:26

Hi do they backdate your tax credits to the scan date once you have been awarded?

gingergingerginger · 27/01/2023 18:46

@mummyofthreemunchkins I'm the same as you. I was doing well, but now that it's close I am getting really nervous. I am starting to convince myself they will decline, whereas I was quite positive about it before. Feel like I should have filled in the form better in some way. Did you send much evidence?

I sent a few bits but don't have any kind of formal diagnosis letter. I sent her learning plans for school, acceptance letter for her referral for an ADHD assesment, but still waiting for the acceptance for the ASD one which I was hoping for. She seems to lean more towards that. Letters from her CAMHS councillor, doctors summery. All the evidence seems a bit floaty. I went into quite a lot of detail on the forms but not sure if it was all the same things just worded differently. It all felt very intense filling them out and by the time I was in the swing of it I felt like I needed a break from it! The part on the form that someone else needs to fill out was done by her head of year, I felt she could have probably gone into things a bit more. I may just be unnecessarily worrying because we're getting closer. Scan date is 1/11, and been told it will be a couple of weeks max!

tourettesadhdmum · 27/01/2023 19:46

my scan dates 22/11 but i’m going to ring monday because i’m impatient like that 🙈 also school said last week that they need to do another SNAP assessment and have noticed more things with my DD that i need to discuss with her paediatrician and psychiatrist but they haven’t said what so i’m just waiting for another report from them so i can show the consultants and update my processing claim 😞

I know what you mean about the evidence seeming floaty. Ours does too. My DS doesn't have a diagnosis so I wasn't sure how to refer to things. Like you, I felt I was repeating myself on the form. After I'd sent it, I felt like I could have gone into a lot more detail so I followed it up with a 5 page letter.

The school's SENCO filled in the other person part on the form, which I am grateful for, but it was just a few bullet points.

I'm really hoping for MRC because then I can also claim carers' allowance, which will be very helpful to our family, but the more I dwell on it the less likely that seems.

We all have so much to deal with looking after our lovely DC with additional needs. This whole process is exhausting and stressful.
