DLA Wait Times Part 8 (2023)

It's looking like we're going to need a new thread. Good luck to everyone waiting for a decision. Our scan date is 02/11 so it could be any day now, but most likely another week or two.

An MR up to six weeks. You can wait a year for a tribunal hearing.

Fingers crossed that’s accurate and they are catching up a little, I’m 14/11 and guessing another 3 weeks 😊

That sounds very hopeful, let’s hope they fly through, quite nerve wracking

@Shellbel10 I’m currently going through the appeal process, it’s been nearly 2 months so far and my hearing hasn’t even been booked yet. They’ve said it could take several more months to even book the hearing but are unable to say how many! So yet another long wait ahead but am fighting with all I can for what I feel my son deserves. I wish you the best of luck and am happy to keep you updated if you like x

I've spent the weekend getting more and more nervous now the decision day is getting closer, fingers crossed everyone gets good news 🤞

@mummmummyofthreemunchkins good luck to you too. Are you intending to phone at any point, or are you just in waiting mode now? My scan date is 02/11 so we're very close to each other.

My scan date was 27th october not heard a thing yet :-(

I’m heading into week 12 waiting for renewal can’t see it being for another 4weeks at least with current award not due to end until 14/3.

I'm not sure what to do, I called last week to double check they had received evidence, they said 2 weeks max now. I will probably call towards the end of the week and see what the situation is then.
We are very close, I will let you know if I hear anything, are you chasing it up this week?

Week 11 for me. I’ve been looking at private play therapy for ds but it’s £120 a session, no chance of us finding it if we don’t get awarded DLA. I still owe my mum £800 for his private assessments I had to get 🥴

I'm not sure what to do either. It's 13 weeks on Wednesday for me, so I don't want to call before then. Like you, I might call at the end of the week if I feel like I can't stand another weekend. Every chance we won't get a decision until next week though, I suppose. Hopefully no later than that. I just want to know and move on at this point.

Week 10 for us (on Wednesday). Scan date 23/11. I know we’re another 4 weeks away or so but I keep thinking it could be any day now. The closer we get, the more convinced I am it will be declined. I was very confident- not so much any more

@Christinaja I'm the 26th 🙈 if you call will you let us know what they say please? I’m debating ringing myself as I have abit more evidence but I know it’s too late. Someone did say they might make a note of it for the dm but I’m not sure what to do 🤔

@Christinaja Ive just phoned mines not with a dm yet but allocated to go in today or tomorrow so she just said and to call back in 10 days if I've not heard anything 27th october scan date madness

@Vikmomof3 I was told that the DM gets a load of claims at the same time with the same scan date, so they have to work there way through the pile, I must be at the bottom haha been with the DM now for almost a week. Hoping it's not bad news 🙏 😞

@Vikmomof3 good luck to you. Hopefully yours will be handed to DM today. I feel so anxious waiting it's driving me mad now, very tempted to ring up after 4 today to see if a decision has been made, surly it should only be a day or two at most now 🙃
