DLA Wait Times Part 8 (2023)

It's looking like we're going to need a new thread. Good luck to everyone waiting for a decision. Our scan date is 02/11 so it could be any day now, but most likely another week or two.

going to comment to start the new thread off.. scan date 31/10 sounds like we might be very close to the end !!
the nerves are seriously kicking in and its so hard to think about anything els , fingers crossed we all get the results our kids deserve soon ❤

Thank you for starting a new thread. I've been watching and waiting for some November dates to start. It's such a long wait. My dd claim last year was around 10weeks and that was long enough. This is a new claim and the scan date is 9/11.

I phoned last night they said it should be with dm today or Monday my scan date is 27th october

My scan date is 02/11, hopefully not much longer to wait

just rang them and spoke with the kindest man who told me the decision had been made to award MRC and LRM which is what I was hoping for… scan date 24th October I burst into tears on the phone x

24th October scan date still with DM this I'd the 3rd day with DM

I called this morning they just started working in end of October the man said my scan date was 17/11 should have a decision in two weeks

1st of November here and it’s driving me nuts thinking about it everyday. Trying to put other things in the forefront but it’s hard. This forum has been very comforting I must say. Thank you guys.

Scan date 11/11 for me for renewal, looks like I will be waiting until a couple of weeks before it ends

Anyone else waiting for a renewal ? Current claim ends mid Feb and my form was scanned mid December.

they say a decision is usually made a couple of weeks before old claim ends, but I’m not so sure this time to be honest.. I should have checked here first. It’s always been a 5-6 week timescale in the past, so I think I left it too late this time round and my current claim may end .

I’m also waiting for a renewal - renewal date is mid Feb but I only got my form submitted first week in January (we had a terrible December, everyone was unwell one after the other and full time caring leaves little time for form filling!) Do my payments stop do you know if it’s not looked at in time?

Yes mine ends mid march so it probably won’t be looked at until at least end of feb, I don’t think it really matters when you send it in it all matters about the end date

CaptainDogbeard Yes unfortunately it does stop If it’s not looked at in time, but any new award will be backdated so u don’t loose out. I’ve already had a letter stating my carers will end soon. Can only hope I suppose :-)

Well that would be helpfull if it is looked at based on renewal time.. I suppose it depends if they need extra information and how long that may take to request it.

good Luck to anyone waiting a renewal.. I literally just rang them, was on hold while I made my original post, and my little ones claim has been renewed for 2 years. Was due to end mid feb, and forms were received mid December.
