BlueBellIris · 19/12/2022 16:45

Thanks @mammaov3 . Scan date 7th September here. So we are 14 + 5. He’s had an Ni number issued and it’s back with decision maker, which apparently means an award is likely.

Wintersmummy96 · 19/12/2022 16:50

Scan date 26th should be sent to Dm this week

mammaov3 · 19/12/2022 16:51

My anxiety is over the roof. I can wait bit longer but I just want to know that this daunting process will have positive outcome and my child will get awarded. I cant imagine to write all over again.

Hi all, I've been watching this thread for some time. My scan date is 28th September. I'm quite anxious that not enough evidence has been sent. I have sent in copy's of Speech and language OT report, Ed phsyc report, supporting letter from my family support worker, a copy of Youth Offending Service involvement, multiple exclusion letters, learning plan, one page profile, a safety plan implemented by emergency cahms and a copy of appointment letter for cahms. She has been waiting for her ND assesment since CAHMS assessed her in March and deemed her too complex for CAHMs and are expected to get her official diagnosis or ASD, ADHD, social and communication difficulties, sensory issues. I have a meeting with cahms with a lovely lady this week who wants to draw up a official letter of support for the school. Her school has been amazing and are fully supportive. She is currently receiving a lot of support and is being treated as if she has a diagnosis in order to meet her needs.
I will this week have a copy of her CAHMS assesment to send across.
I'm just so anxious I'm afraid it will be declined. I have the schools backing who have been nothing short of amazing. Has anyone else been accepted with similar evidence?.
She also has bowel and abdominal issues and seizures although I haven't included any evidence for them.
Thanks 😊

Anotherfedupmum · 19/12/2022 18:12

Been following these threads for what feels like forever scan date 26th September.. Good luck to everyone anxiously waiting, also commenting so I can get notifications.

Kaylisa · 19/12/2022 18:41

@Peachy88 that sounds like loads hopefully you’ll be fine. I sent nothing.

im still waiting for letter to say how long it’s been awarded for. Found out on the phone a week and half ago that she was awarded hrc and had the back payment last Tuesday.
got letter today about my other daughter saying she wasn’t successful which I knew as they told me on phone same time they said about the one who was.
hopefully will get the letter tomorrow/this week.

Tribaladventuremummy · 19/12/2022 18:44

I thought the same about my evidence as I literally sent an IEP that had 3 sentences from school and we were awarded HRC and LRM on the 7th December ( scan date 6/9/22)

Shazkd19 · 19/12/2022 18:55

Hi I have been following for ages now. Scan date of 27th September but called In August for forms etc. So nervous. Really don't think I will get anything. Good luck everyone

Wintersmummy96 · 19/12/2022 20:11

Maybe tomorrow some of us may hear something hopefully, but I’m hoping we all have news before Friday! I know they’ve started week commencing 26th September but I’ve seen a lot of 23rd September getting awarded today so hopefully getting close I rang today got told not with DM yet but will be this week

Peachy88 · 19/12/2022 20:14

@Kaylisa hopefully, fingers crossed 🤞. My friend and a family member also wrote supporting statements explaining the level of care needed and how it affects the family etc. My daughter is almost 12 and still can't bath herself, wipe herself, make simple food, make a drink, keep herself safe. We have missed out on so many family gatherings and occasions including days out as she is so overwhelmed and over stimulated by the outside world. Add in her anxiety and low self esteem, she still isn't able to go and socialise out in the community. She is heavily reliant on routine and structure, sensory items, weighted blankets and a hairdryer and fan which is constantly on to help self soothe. She hates clothes and prefers to be nude, she also starts 10 min after everyone in school and finishes 10 min before everyone. We manage at home as we have adapted to her needs, we also have added adaptations to the home for safety reasons including window locks ( she has attempted to climb out of a bedroom window on multiple occasions) and locks for the food cupboards ( she will binge on anything) also all medication is stored safely in a locked box in the boot of my car. Her age for literacy, numeracy, social and communication all come way below average, she is at least 3 years behind in all assessments. When she was younger she was non verbal and we used sign language to communicate but she does now use speech as expected for her age. She needs supervision day and night. I've done multiple courses and bought self help books so that I can gain a better understanding and ensure she is supported correctly. I've been very fortunate that I always had the support of professionals.

Fingers crossed for everyone waiting.

Mumze · 19/12/2022 20:29

I've not yet had a decision and the date that they received the application was 11th September. I called a month ago and they told me 2/3 weeks. So I called again last week and was told will be at least 2/3 weeks.
So been waiting 14 weeks so far.
I've heard you receive a text but a friend just got the money in her bank with a letter several weeks later. I'm guessing all post will be held up due to the strikes.

Kaylisa · 19/12/2022 20:35

@Mumze i didn’t get a text and wouldn’t have known before the money going in, it was only because I called and asked.

my scan date was 8th sept so I would have thought you’d hear soon

Shellbel10 · 19/12/2022 20:45

@kaylisa did you write much on the forms. I sent in iep and copy of sleep medication prescription. We got declined and currently going through mandatory reconsideration

Mummyto2gorggirls · 19/12/2022 21:00

I’m 26th to and my anxiety is through the roof I hope for us all we all here this week x

Kaylisa · 19/12/2022 21:17

@Shellbel10 I felt like I was quite detailed and added in another sheet but it’s hard to describe the care I think and I found the form very odd 😅
I didn’t get anyone else to fill in the bit someone could who knew her.

my other daughters was rejected and I need to ask them to do MR on that one. She is diagnosed Autistic and Adhd whereas my other daughter who was awarded has not been yet.

Shellbel10 · 19/12/2022 21:48

It does seem like it depends whose desk it lands on sometimes. How long did the mandatory reconsideration take
