I rang yesterday and there weren’t very nice basically told me not to ring again when a decision was made I would be told x

jesskay · 26/01/2023 15:35

@Donna2324 I would call again and find out. See what they say. You very rarely get the same person x

jesskay · 26/01/2023 15:40

@Donna2324 I was told the same. Apparently I would get a text when a decision was made. I didn’t get nothing I just called yesterday and was told x

Christinaja · 26/01/2023 15:48

Congratulations. Well done. Can I ask if you sent much evidence please? And were you hoping for the mobility element? I essentially haven't applied for the mobility element (answered no to all those questions) but I am hoping to get MRC for DS.

Chantelle28 · 26/01/2023 18:13

@gingergingerginger
Her nursery wrote in the who knows her
Speech and language report
Behaviour plan
My daughter is nearly 4 and wouldn't qualify HRM but once she is 5 I will apply for lrm because she needs constant supervison
Is not safe outside to the point of needing to be in a pram still unless it's the 2 min walk to nursery hand held firmly and backpack harness

Christinaja · 26/01/2023 18:18

@Chantelle28 well done that's great news!! mine is still with DM I will ring up after 3 tomorrow

Maybe I’ll call again tomorrow, I have a IEP plan now but unfortunately I’ve just come out of hospital after a week so can’t get it too them are the moment, I did mention this to her on the phone but she completely disregarded it and just said we will let you know……. All I can think of is bad news 😢

Disabledmom · 26/01/2023 20:06

Does anyone know if they work on one or more scan dates a day? I saw they have awarded at 24th has anyone been awarded for 25th today.

Toomanyplates23 · 26/01/2023 22:46

Hi. I thought I'd post to see if it helps anyone. New DLA claim. Sent form on 13.01.23. Phoned today as no text or letter confirming it had been received. Was told scan date was 20.01.23 and it is taking 14 weeks to go to a decision maker. Good luck everyone xx

I think (though don’t know) it’s a bit random but they largely tend to work on dates within a certain timeframe. I follow a DLA Facebook support group and someone there has been awarded from 02/11. So I think it depends on what the workload/speed is of the decision maker you end up with.

However from this thread and the group they mainly seem to be working on and awarding 18-25/10 dates at the minute.

I have no idea though and someone who actually knows might be a long to tell you more specifically.

VickieC86 · 27/01/2023 08:38

just got to 10 weeks it’s driving me insane I only sent my daughters asd report as anyone else done same and been awarded

Christinaja · 27/01/2023 08:51

I have seen lots of people being awarded and sending of no evidence. You stand a good chance

VickieC86 · 27/01/2023 09:35

I’ve just called them up they are working on the end of October now I will get a decision in two weeks

Yeah, it feels like we all go forward as a big tranche for the first 12 or 13 weeks, and then randomly get assigned into different queues, which are going at different speeds. A bit like queuing at the post office or wherever.

I suppose some cases are more complex than others. I'm 02/11 and I thought I would have to wait a couple more weeks, but I guess it's possible I'll know sooner. Feel like it's consuming a lot of my thoughts now.

gingergingerginger · 27/01/2023 09:56

I hope it's okay that I have started a new thread as this one is nearing on 1000 posts.
