Hi been watching the thread for a while, scan date 23rd sept, just wanted to let you know I woke up to a payment today! if I worked it out correctly I think hrc lrm, for 10yr old with recently diagnosed asd and adhd while awaiting medication appointments! Only sent off asd diagnosis and appointment letter and filled out the form pages no extra. Hope it helps someone who’s waiting keep positive x

Hi. Ive been following this post like a stalker but never commented lol. I just wanted to update people on my renewal. I sent my sons renewal off on the 20th of sept, I'm not sure on my scan date. But I've just had my letter through today that my son who is 5 in January has been successful and will not have to reapply for 7 years. Before I reapplied we was getting the middle rate care allowance, this time we still have the middle rate care allowance but also the lower rate mobility, I never knew we could claim that before as I thought you needed to be unable to walk, but as my son has no sense of danger, awareness to his surroundings and is still the majority of the time in a pram when out and about we are entitled to it. The extra evidence i sent in was a follow up appointment letter from the child development centre, specialist inclusion team report from the educational health care panel and his autism diagnosis report. I also filled out an extra page explaining how my son is and also got his SEND worker from his previous setting to fill in the part where it asks someone else to fill it in. Since I filled in the form and sent it off he's also been issued an EHCP but I didn't send this in as the draft plan was only issued last week. The best of luck for all those waiting for their decision. I know it's super stressful but hopefully you will here soon. Fingers crossed.

Hi everyone, I have been following this post since I sent my daughters form off, scan date 22nd September, received a call today off a lovely lady, asked a few questions and said she was awarding hrc and lrm, hope this helps anyone waiting around these dates.

Shellbel10 · 21/12/2022 13:19

Good luck @mammaov3

BlueBellIris · 21/12/2022 13:22

On hold again...

Scan date 7th September 2022. Has been with a DM since 9th December 2022. I rang on Monday and was told that an NI number had been generated which was an indicator that award was likely to be made.

Losttheplot1 · 21/12/2022 13:24

Good luck @BlueBellIris

Wintersmummy96 · 21/12/2022 13:47

Mam2mcc · 21/12/2022 13:57

@mammaov3 thats brilliant news well done I called yesterday and mine was still with a decision maker 😫 not going to call again now it’s stressing me out to much

BlueBellIris · 21/12/2022 13:59

@mammaov3 do you think you may get LRC when they turn 5? That could be the explanation why you only have till they are 5.

BlueBellIris · 21/12/2022 14:06

Just off the phone have been awarded Low Rate Mobility and Middle Rate Care, which I was hoping for.

It's only till September 2024. His prognosis is a bit uncertain at the moment, so I I am not surprised we've only got for a year. Looking forward to redoing the process again in 6 months time....

BlueBellIris · 21/12/2022 14:07

@mammaov3 I meant low rate mobility.

mammaov3 · 21/12/2022 14:09

im not sure i have seen people get awarded the LRM before age 5 im just confused to why it has only been awarded a year when his illness is for life but im not going to spund ungrateful becouse im not im happy he is finally getting what he deserves good luck everyone else waiting im crossing everything for you , also should i wait to tell UC until i receive letter just incase he has been awarded lrm and i just don't no yet?

Well done! So happy for you yeah you’d have to apply for mobility once he’s 5, my daughter turned 4 this month I’m still waiting on decision senco filled out the form, sent sen plan, letter from HV I’m hoping for good news

BlueBellIris · 21/12/2022 14:11

@mammaov3 you can't get higher rate mobility till age 3 and lower rate mobility till age 5.
