Long term lurker... just got this:

We are still looking at your DLA1 Child claim. When a decision is made we will confirm it in writing. There is no need to contact us about it.

Hoping it's not bad news 🙏. Scan date mid Oct.

MygirlGrace · 22/12/2022 15:14

@Supermam22 That is a standard message that gets sent (after 8 weeks I think) it’s system generated. It won’t have been allocated to a DM yet. X

Cody3 · 22/12/2022 15:16

@MygirlGrace i wouldn’t know my son Is only 4 years old, he was diagnosed with ASD last year and global development delay about 18 months, I’ll keep you updated when I have a decision so you know roughly how much longer you’ll have to wait. X

Supermam22 · 22/12/2022 15:17

Thanks, such an aniexty inducting process to make sure our little ones get what they need. I will be glad when it's all over.

MygirlGrace · 22/12/2022 15:19

@Cody3 Thank You 😊 I will keep fingers crossed for you xx

MygirlGrace · 22/12/2022 15:20

@Supermam22 No problem. I know, it’s very stressful 😞x

I’m guessing from reading all the threads the last fews days that the wait time is realistically up to 15 weeks now for new claims and renewals, my date is 11th October and not heard a thing! I suffer from severe stress related aloepcia and this waiting hasn’t helped one single bit

Oct 12th here! I rang this week and she said 12 weeks which is what they said the last time too. Fingers crossed!

Squishy1911 · 23/12/2022 05:28

I’m guessing I’ll be around the same as you then, they really shouldn’t say 8 weeks on the letters they send out it needs changing

Matilda142 · 23/12/2022 06:52

Do you normally receive a letter confirming they have received your application? I sent my paper copy off but now am worrying that maybe they never received it?

Anotherfedupmum · 23/12/2022 08:51

Just at update for you all i woke up with payment this morning I cried! Hope all goes the same for you all..

JubileeTrifle · 23/12/2022 09:25

Payment here too! Mine was scanned mid September. No notification I was getting it and no post until next week now.

Do I need the letter to do the carers allowance application?

Mummyto2gorggirls · 23/12/2022 09:26

Morning everyone,
My daughters scan date was the 26th September my partner called yesterday to find out if it was with a DM yet , My partner was told she was awarded the day before , when he called me I couldn’t stop crying with happiness, so if your around this date I would call because if we hadn’t we would still have no idea , good luck to everyone

JubileeTrifle · 23/12/2022 09:26

@Matilda142 i did but not for ages, more than a month. It had a scan date on it which was nearly 2 weeks after I had posted it.

Those who have found out today , Did you get a text or ring up?

Anotherfedupmum · 23/12/2022 11:00

Scan date 26th September.. rang up due to backpay in my account. unsure what to do about universal credit. Can someone advise please?

Anotherfedupmum · 23/12/2022 11:03

So made up for everyone who got a positive result this morning! Feels too good to be true, nothing less than our children deserve. I was refused the first time and so glad family pushed me to go for it again. Its been a long draining process! And now we are finally getting what was deserved so long ago.

JubileeTrifle · 23/12/2022 11:16

@Shazkd19 money was in my bank, that’s all I’ve had. Really need the letter but no post now until next week.

Wait? UC backdate it too? I didn’t know that. I’ve applied for carers allowance because it is classed as an income towards our mortgage. We hope to move in a couple/few years so our son has a bigger bedroom & a sensory play room which would massively benefit his needs.
