Thought I'd continue the thread as it had reached its limit.

My application will be awhile before any response but scanned 5 July and nothing yet.

From my understanding the payments continue till u get awarded. So when u finally get it, it will be back dated to scan date. Doing a mr isn't a new claim.

Wanted to pop in here I applied back in February then rang start of June to be told they'd the wrong address for me so any correspondence they were sending me went else where so they turned me down then still hadn't recieved the decline letter 2 weeks later so rang again and the guy put in for a MR for me iv since then sent evidence as I recieved it nursery report iep from creche speach and language report and now appointment letter from child psychologist from the education board have been ringing every week and still no word does ur application go by ur scan date of evidence as they receive it or from u put in for the MR for the 12 weeks thanks

MR scan date is from date you spoke to them told them u want to do MR... have u got letter for MR? I rang for mine on 17th August yesterday I received letter with scan date 17th August

Mine is 7th July stamped 13th x

No but I did get a letter around 4 weeks ago saying please be patient we're still dealing with ur claim

I think u should call them up, see how much more longer

Scan date 6 June, rang Friday and again on Monday, told it is on case managers desk and will hear within next 2 weeks!

Hopefully, but with what I've ready it's going to be the back end of October by the looks of things 🙈.

Hello all, My child’s claim stamped 13th July, heard nothing yet but this may help - i applied for my other child in jan (7th) and got his decision April (12th).

Yes this process shouldn’t be like this, I don’t no about anyone else but the whole thing stresses me out not knowing and to be told a few more weeks doesn’t really give you much I’ve only called twice and feel like I’m annoying them if I keep ringing 🙈

My scan date was 16th June to! I called on Monday and the advisor was hopeful my application would be assigned to someone this week!

Does anyone know how long new claims for carers are taking?

It really shouldn't. We have enough to deal with besides having to sit and wait anxiously to find out weather your disabled child is going to get the help they need. My scan date is 23rd June and the wait and stress is giving me anxiety, migraines and sleepless nights x

Reading through all your posts and nodding aggressively. Everything is a waiting game, from medical appointments and assements to finance help. As a parent your already coming to terms with your child issues never mind writing it all down or even asking for extra support it is a very anxious situation to be in for any parent hoping June's start rolling out sending positivity !!!

ive been reading this with hope every day. My scan date is 21st June and still heard nothing.
i had the sorry it’s taking so long letter first week of Aug. I put off ringing incase its bad news. Tried calling today to check and add a little extra info regarding how i’m having to come out of work and collect early from new school (new starter this time) but every option I select after listening to all the messages the line just goes dead!!
im so nervous and anxious about the decision as we don’t have a diagnosis yet.
it’s 14weekish since i sent the forms off, such a long wait.

Honestly it's like at this point, everyday all day you're just hoping and scrolling thru here with even your beef curtain flaps crossed that someone close to your scan date has heard something.

my scan date is 15th June. I called last Tuesday and they were working on 8th June claims. She said she expects our claim would be looked at this week. So fingers crossed you don’t have long left to wait

@Oilytoe90 hahahaha 💀💀💀💀 I was told last Thursday they working on 9th June and I would hopefully have decision by Friday this week. Been on hold 55 mins 🙄 x

Hi everyone my child receives DLA and I applied for carers allowance but only received a one-off back-payment and no on-going payments after that.

I assumed once applying and being by approved you would receive the ongoing payments?

Hiya my scan date is 15 June I have just got through to be told my claim won’t have decision until another 3 weeks! I’m a bit peed of as I was told Monday it would be this week 🤦🏽‍♀️ X
