DLA Wait times 2022 Part 4

Thought I'd continue the thread as it had reached its limit.

My application will be awhile before any response but scanned 5 July and nothing yet.

The wait really is awful I’m in same frame of mind myself now to be honest my scan date was 6th June I’m on week 13 now.

Scan date 23rd May, payment received into my bank 11th August

My scan date was 23rd May and we were paid on 11th August (payment in bank was first I heard!)

Those of you who are awaiting your first claim - Keep an eye on your bank! If successful, the first you'll hear of it, is a backdated payment into your account. That's usually the case anyway and was the case for me.

Agh!! Congratulations guys!! Waifs finally over for you. It just seems we're waiting on everything at moment DLA paeds and several other specialists. My DS is only 3 and been fighting to be herd, now we was herd by his school and he's under all these specialists ( but awaiting appointments for diagnosis) red flags are flying everywhere, dla taking their time. I'm fed up of having to write down everything that's an issue. Parents shouldn't have to be put through this stuff . Again Congratulations!!!

Seems like a lot of the may 1’s are coming through so hopefully you won’t be waiting too much longer. Hang in there

I missed deadline for my renewal sent formed. Recieved 31st May, just rang this morning at dot on 9am and been awarded :) said payment will be in bank in 3-5working days :) x

Once a decision has been made how long till you receive the letter?

I’ve just had a few gone call telling me it’s with the decision maker she said I’ll receive a letter within 10 days wouldn’t give anything away as regards to whether I will get it or not. Feel sick haha

Well I've finally got a decision for my sons renewal! He's been awarded hrc and lrm! Just so glad the wait is over!

That’s fantastic news when was your scan date if you don’t mind me asking

It was the 10th of May they only made the decision today x

Dose anyone know if tax credits back date payment to wen they start the claim so far my son would be 3rd May

@Shannon26 Do you know why it took so long? I called today and they said they’re working on claims scanned on 8th June. Ours was scanned 15th June - was hoping to have our decision soon

@Stead05 No sorry think they've just got a lot of new claims and renewals to do, when I rang last week they did say they were doing renewals 24 hours before they were due to run out

Yeah I think they just have so many to do they told me they where working overtime to get through them.

I'm 6th June and in Spain at moment. I want to call but I don't want a decline to ruin the rest of my holiday, but I just want to know either way now.
