Thought I'd continue the thread as it had reached its limit.

My application will be awhile before any response but scanned 5 July and nothing yet.

Still following, scan date 10th June and nothing yet x

MichelleG78 · 26/08/2022 01:01

Still following too, thanks for continuing the thread! Hate this waiting, never known it take so long! Scan date 21st June, think I’m probably looking at October now for any news by the sounds of it! x

KN87 · 26/08/2022 08:34

My son’s application (which was a review and renew) was scanned on the 23rd of June and I’ve heard nothing beyond the confirmation of receipt letter.

ZGB · 26/08/2022 10:24

Hi - has anyone heard this week from scan date 30th May? (new claim)

Db28 · 26/08/2022 13:14

Hi all, my scan dates 29th June, received a letter yesterday stating it has not been dealt with yet

Ophelia87 · 26/08/2022 14:35

Hi all, my scan date is 7th June. Called up on the 8th August and the lady said it should be sorted within 3 weeks so fingers crossed it should be next week that I hear a decision but I’m not so hopeful…….or maybe I’m just being cynical 🤨

quizamoles · 26/08/2022 14:46

Hi, I got my sons decision today (change of circumstances)

Submitted late April. Money in today

Shannon26 · 26/08/2022 15:41

I'm still waiting to hear anything for my sons renewal, runs out on Monday and still no decision, they recieved it the 10th May

Kerrik94 · 26/08/2022 18:08

Hello, I had dla sent me another form to update on my son condition and if he getting worse like the start of this month and I was wondering how long it takes for them to know of a update

ZGB · 27/08/2022 14:13

@Charlenecmp No, still nothing - really dragging on now isn't it 😒

Charlenecmp · 27/08/2022 14:25

@ZGB really is plus being the bank holiday wen I rang last week they said it would be going to a dm end off week just gone or begins off next so hopefully by Friday we both may hear

ZGB · 27/08/2022 14:28

@Charlenecmp oh really, thanks for that update. I really hope for both our sakes that they are at least with a decision maker this weekend! I'll keep you posted x

sweeetpotatoes · 27/08/2022 14:30

I recently put in a request for a review due to change of circumstances.

Currently have middle rate care for my 5 year old. Now they are 5 I have asked for them to assess for mobility as they clearly need more support than a typical child when getting about.

Sent the form on July 21, and got a reply on July 28 saying I will receive a decision within ten weeks which takes me to October 6th.

AM130674 · 27/08/2022 14:35

I submitted my DD's renewal on 13th August, current award expires on 29th December. I am expecting no change to award as my DD who is 7 still can't walk and requires 24-hour care and supervision, although hoping they will finally award her high rate care Confused

Anyway, shocked to be told that renewals are taking 16-19 weeks and I probably won't find out until the day before current award expires?!

Diabolical isn't it.

AM130674 · 27/08/2022 14:56

I'm glad I printed the form off the website and worked on it. I've only just received their form they send out! We've been claiming DLA since she was a year old and longest award has been two years, I'm fed up of form filling. This is only benefit we are apparently entitled to, I spend my life chasing appointments and assessments for her

Shannon26 · 27/08/2022 16:16

@AM130674 hi, just thought I'd let you know my sons claim runs out on Monday 29th and when j rang on Friday they said renewals aren't getting done till 24 hours before they're due to run out, just thought I'd let you know x

AM130674 · 27/08/2022 16:17

Thank you. I'm worried about motability car payment and also blue badge runs out the same day so we won't be able to replace that straight away

Shannon26 · 27/08/2022 16:24

@AM130674 It's a nightmare isn't it, I got a letter about carers being stopped when my sons dla claim runs out if no decision so I'm very anxious tbh, when I rang on Friday said hopefully someone will.look at it the weekend as people are working over time 🤷‍♀️

AM130674 · 27/08/2022 16:25

Yes, it's almost like they don't care Envy

Shannon26 · 27/08/2022 16:28

@AM130674 yeah 100% yet we'd get wrong if the claim was handed in later

MyKidsMyLife84 · 27/08/2022 18:44

@Mumto4feelslike44 Have you heard anything, think we are same date 6th June?

Mumto4feelslike44 · 27/08/2022 19:30

Yeah I’m 6th June, rand Tuesday last week she said could be next possibly the week after. Hoping next week it’s so stressful feel like it’s been forever

Kage87 · 29/08/2022 11:23

Hey guys been watching these posts for a while now, feeling your frustration and anxiety were still waiting scanned 21st June. I keep telling myself no news is good news. Its got to point where we will be happy with any reward for DS.
