Thought I'd continue the thread as it had reached its limit.

My application will be awhile before any response but scanned 5 July and nothing yet.

if i ever get through today or tomorrow I’ll update.

Stead05 · 07/09/2022 13:28

@Lynseyb91 there have been people with a scan date of 10th June already have their decision so I can’t see how you’d have to wait another 3 weeks 🙈

Exactly!! Makes no sense at all

Lynseyb91 · 07/09/2022 13:47

I think it depends who you get, it’s the first time I’ve had someone who I have felt uncomfortable speaking to x

Lynseyb91 · 07/09/2022 14:00

@Sarahjlk let us know! You might be on hold for another 365 days 🙄 x

Leah041196 · 07/09/2022 14:32

Ellp95 · 07/09/2022 07:42

My scan date was 16th June to! I called on Monday and the advisor was hopeful my application would be assigned to someone this week!

Fingers crossed for you 🤞x

Lynseyb91 · 07/09/2022 14:41

Hiya @Ellp95

I was told them same to ring today and be told another 3 weeks which is a joke x

Ellp95 · 07/09/2022 15:35

@Lynseyb91 It’s ridiculous! You’d think with how many things need ‘proof of dla’ it would be a much quicker process!? 😤

Sarahjlk · 07/09/2022 15:49

After an hour 15 on hold and on the call.. added my extra information and changes she told me new claims are taking 12-14 weeks they are going to decision makers at 12/13 week mark and then it takes 3-5 working days for a decision and then a letter sent out. So probably looking at another 3-4 weeks for us.
scan date was 21st June.

Lynseyb91 · 07/09/2022 15:59

Told me the same BUT they also told me that you are most likely to receive payment before the letter. She also said if u ring they can tell you over the phone. So I’m gonna ring Friday and then next week at the 13 mark xx

Wow.... just wow.... absolutely shocking. I've already called twice this week so I'm not going to again until next week haha x

Sarahjlk · 07/09/2022 16:08

I have read that previously too. I’m holding out for a payment on 28th, keeping everything crossed until then. Probably ring that week if haven’t heard anything.
good luck everyone.

joannef83 · 07/09/2022 19:16

Hi all. How soon after the DLA receiving the form
did you get an acknowledgment letter? Forms were posted at the beginning of august but not heard anything yet. Thanks

Ellp95 · 07/09/2022 20:00

@joannef83 Hi! I sent my forms off around the 10th June and got an acknowledgment letter on the 20th June with my scan date as the 16th June X

joannef83 · 07/09/2022 20:19

Thank you. Think I will call them to make sure they received it as they were posted on 1st august. Luckily I photocopied all the forms so have copies if they are lost.

Noneyerbuisness11234 · 07/09/2022 20:51

@joannef83 defo do because I was turned down originally because they changed my address from sending the forms and receiving them so I wasn't getting any correspondence looking more evidence and didn't ring till after the 12 weeks fs x

Momma25 · 07/09/2022 21:53

My scan date was 14th July had a letter today saying sorry it’s taking so long but after reading some of your posts I’m not expecting a letter or anything until around November 😩

Shannon26 · 07/09/2022 22:03

Can you get the severely disabled child element on uc if you claim carers? I've read online you can't it's all confusing

Oilytoe90 · 08/09/2022 10:53

Any updates? X

Stead05 · 09/09/2022 09:47

Have just called them and this week they’re working on claims received up until 14th June

Lynseyb91 · 09/09/2022 09:57

Someone had money in their account yesterday scan date 30th June. It’s backwards! I got told working up until the 16th they need to make their mind up lol. Il update shortly x

Oilytoe90 · 09/09/2022 10:01

Wow. Can never get a straight answer from them 🙄

Lynseyb91 · 09/09/2022 10:06
