Thought I'd continue the thread as it had reached its limit.

My application will be awhile before any response but scanned 5 July and nothing yet.

Mkd1322 · 03/11/2022 09:38

@Lianney84 I've just called up, my scan date is the 13th of june and still not with a decision maker. She said they've stopped giving dates as they aren't accurate x

Lianney84 · 03/11/2022 10:38

@Mkd1322 they are shocking aren't they. I now that's true as I was told few weeks back to call up on 26th October If not heard out and when I did I was told.something completely different I give up now. Hope we all hear something soon the wait is exhausting 😴

Hey everyone, please what is the current wait for an mandatory reconsideration x

Myne has took 5 weeks so far called Monday and with a dm and was told another 7-10 days x

Gemma96x · 04/11/2022 08:55

Hi guys I'm 14 weeks and still getting told not even with a dm yet they told me next 2 weeks. Everytime I ring I get told different everytime so I've got no idea to be fair I don't think they know there jobs. This is frustrating 😤 just want to know yes or no. I'm at the point where I'm feeling in my stomach my son will be declined as its soo hard to get the things in life your children deserve and are entitled too 😪. But good luck every1 today X

MummaOfUniqBoy · 06/11/2022 16:27

I am await renewal and my scan date was July 12th and they told me this week that it was taking 20 weeks minimum......so ridiculous. My son already has HRC but as he is just about to turn 3 this is the application for mobility but they apparently review it all over again. Yet the DLA award of HRC I got for was son last year was until 2035, which I was so happy with! Hate this drawn out waiting game.

Yeah it's not fair how long it takes mine is a new claim for my son who's been diagnosed with autism dsm-5 and I'm unsure that he will get dla due to the lack of evidence coz all I sent in was the diagnosis report which is all I have my scan date is 3rd august and still heard nothing xx

Wheretheskyisblue · 07/11/2022 07:14

Does anyone know if you send in a renewal and they don't renew it in time whether the dla just stops or if they keep it at the existing rate until the renewal is complete?

MummaOfUniqBoy · 07/11/2022 10:22

I believe they keep paying until the renewal is complete. I literally just got off the phone yo them and my scan date was July 12th and she just told me decisions are currently taking 21 weeks!!!!! Utter joke! I'm on week 17 so far.

Malimum · 07/11/2022 10:24

Hi guys just wondering does anyone know the success rate with reconsiderations my son was awarded middle rate due to not need supervision at night when he does cause he does very dangerous sleep and has also been referred by the health visitor to a place that helps with sleep in autism? Any advise on writing this all?

Tiredmum2four · 07/11/2022 15:05

I got a letter 24th august saying the renewal was received slight change in circumstances too as we’d just received an official diagnosis, our current claim runs out this month and I’ve just received a letter from carers allowance saying they will stop payments when the claim runs out, I’m worried sick to not have heard anything yet, from reading the comments here it seems like I’m not the only one.

Trustynickname · 07/11/2022 18:26

has any one had any updates? My date is 9th august, I’m wondering when around I’m looking to hear back?

Trustynickname · 07/11/2022 18:35

Well I’m waiting on a MR was told it would take upto 5 weeks on the phone then the letter came and that says 11 weeks so I don’t think they actually know the time scale themselves sadly,, I’m hoping it won’t take the full 11 weeks as the letter says

I know I initially thought 8 weeks because that's what it said on the text I had after my phone assessment 🙄

@Momma25 can I ask when you applied for an MR please? I’m currently on week 3 of waiting on an outcome for mine. I didn’t receive a letter but I had a text message from DWP on 19th October thanking me for asking them to look at my claim again and that a decision could take up to 4 weeks. This has been such a long wait already, my original claim form was scanned on 21st June! It was meant to be a renewal but I missed the deadline of 29th May so they classed it as a new claim :(

I’m also on week 3 hun x my new claim was scanned 14th July my son was awarded low rate for both and I was quite happy with it until his school said no he deserves better x

MichelleG78 · 08/11/2022 00:09

@Momma25 my sons claim was declined in September after 6 years of being awarded MRC for him previously. I can’t understand why as his needs have got more rather than less. Shame we have to fight so hard for what our children deserve isn’t it! Fingers crossed we both hear something soon, I really don’t think I can take another 2 months of waiting it’s making me a nervous wreck! x
