tiany, honeymoo
Weekday nights slightly better for me but can do whatever apart from the w/e around 24th...

On a heavier note... Has anyone gained gulp 9 kg since start of pregnancy? By 27 weeks?
I lost weight at the beginning, and now in the last month i went up by 4.5kg. All the lovely food while inItaly no doubt but a real shock. I feel really fat though can't really see it apart from bump size while staring intothe mirror.

Hello all, anyone got to the point were they have to roll to get out of bed?
I feel so big these days even tho everyone tells me my bump is so small, I was this size when I was having DD, god help me Shock

Oh just to let anyone know I went to boots today and the baby wipes offer is still on, I grabbed 3 more packs so have 5 now but temped to get some more, love a bargain Grin

Not baby news but need some good lucks and whatnots as I have my driving test Friday morning, I have knowen for 3 weeks but all of a sudden pure dread has come over me since today, me = bloody petrified :(

honeymoo, blondecat ...how about evening of Sept 22..its a Weds?

harmony sry to hear about redundancy..seems to be happening to lots of people on the thread...

Had my 28wk appt with m/w today and they took my bloods in the surgery.. got my anit-D too, cant remember who asked about this before but it doesnt hurt much at all and all over in seconds. Coming from me who usually passes out at sight a needle that should be of some comfort :)

hmmSleep · 25/08/2010 08:26

balijay, midwife took my bloods at my 28 wk appointment.

Annoyingly have had to stop taking the iron tablets, they had started really upsetting my stomach. Have another midwife appointment on Thursday so going to ask to try some different ones.

Good luck with the driving test Rinny!

Great bump Babybean, I think you look very neat actually, I'm much more beach ball like, must be my lack of stomach muscles short height.

Hello everybody, long time, no post!

Glad everyone is doing well, apart from all the redundancies :(

I'm feeling ok, v tired, but been a bit stricter about going to bed at a sensible time which seems to be helping! Been taking some pg vits with 150% rda of iron in them all along so I doubt it will be an iron issue for me.

I'm working til the 11th November (due 20th) but have worked out that with holidays and that fact that I only work 4 days a week, it's only 39 working days left :)

Got a busy weekend coming up but I can't wait - it is DD's 2nd birthday on Friday so having a bouncy castle and a little party for her.

Then on Saturday - 3D scan! can't wait to see the baby again - hope we get some good looks at him / her.

DD is coming with us too so will finally see the baby we keep talking to her about. Don't want to make too big a deal about it with her yet though as it is still a long way to go, but she does understand that there will be a baby living with us eventually and we already have some things which are the baby's and not hers. Doesn't stop her divebombing the moses basket whenever she see it on the floor though.

Hi all,

since suggesting the London meet up and reading back; I think we have two suggestions that no one has said they can't do:

  1. 22nd September; Weds evening
  2. 9th October; Saturday morning

I reckon Tottenham Court Rd is fairly central wherever you are coming from? There's a Starbucks at 112-116 New Oxford Street just opposite the bus station under Centrepoint. It's open until 9pm (those who have energy to go beyond this time can always move to a pub for orange juice?!)

Any takers?

PrivetDancer · 25/08/2010 11:45

Might it be easier to have a separate thread for the meetup? Not that I mind it being here or am about to suggest anyone hasn't posted enough to meet up or anything!! Just that it's going to keep getting lost in here

PrivetDancer · 25/08/2010 11:46

speaking of new threads, we need a new thread very soon!

hmmSleep · 25/08/2010 12:23

Ok, I've started the new thread before this one runs out!

here

See you there!!!

oh and CardiCorgi re the breastfeeding tops - while they're certainly not essential, I found them invaluable. I have big boobs and am generally a bit big all over so would not have been able to just hoik my whole top up. And given that it's going to be winter when I'll be starting feeding this time around, I think the more coverage the better. A lot of b/feeding tops are double layered, so nice and warm.

The secret windows might look a bit odd at first but you'll soon be able to get a baby latched on one handed without hardly even having to look :)
