Looking for some fellow late Januaryers to whisper about BFPs for late Jan 2011!! Just taken the test this afternoon and thrilled to be pg with #3 potentially (two DDs who are 19m and 3y). Anyone else out there?

flora let's hope you do better with your own kid, and don't make it cry too much!

And i'm am VERY excited for you about all the shopping. tell us exactly what you went for!

fuzzy is fluid better than baby? Maybe it'll just not be giant, just be... kind of a decent size?

Poor you bubba having SPD and having to do the yucky GTT test - tastes horrid. I just imagined it was a nice vodka shot and downed it. Worse bit is when the nurse mixes it with water - to "get the last of it out"! [hhmm]

Saw loads of people i haven't seen for about 2 months last ngiht - and all were telling me how well I look, and how i (finally) look a little bit pregnant. That's the problem with being a big girl, I just don't show!

I have friends coming for 10 days on Sunday so can't wait! Plus they're bringing me a chocolate orange! [hwink]

Hi westyorkshire - when do you expect decorating to finish?

And i'm same as you zippy on the baby kicking front - it still takes me by surprise. Had a foot sticking out yesterday - so made DH feel - and he kind of shivered. Oh, and went to my doc over here, had another scan - def def def a boy - and def def def has "very long legs" (as the doc said!) [hgrin]

Overall - jus crazily happy today!

LadyBuzz · 22/10/2010 16:15

flora [hgrin] its strange they are much less scary when they belong to you, i'm still terrified i'll break anyone elses newborn and i've had 2 of my own.
They are also far less scary as toddlers when they are yours, they seem to ease you in slowly [hgrin]

I also would love to hear what you bought on your shopping trip, I love baby stuff!

Got a letter from the GP today to discuss the results of my swab from last week. I wasn't even aware they had done one I thought she was just looking [hblush] and I have no clue what it could be about.

BubbaAndBump · 22/10/2010 17:40

Poor you LadyB - surely they should tell you if they're doing a swab??! Hmm

cupcakes what the f* did they make you drink for gestational diabetes?? I have to drink lucozade then they test my blood an hour later. No vodka shots for me! :)

HALF-TERMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM :O :O :o

Well NCT went fine - there's always those cringey moments when you have to make small talk, but we have 5 hours tomorrow so that will help! Originally booked for 8 x 2hr classes, but they had to swap instructor so ended up with 4 x 2hr eve classes and 2 x 5 hr weekend ones which DH can't make! Still, he's quite good at picking things up.

Builder coming in this weekend so now in position of having no lounge or kitchen and need both to be empty so am about to empty out the cupboards! Trying to be finished for Christmas, but lets hope the baby doesn't come early. Not bothering with a nursery and need to put off buying stuff as no where to put it!

Flora been feeling a bit overwhelmed about buying stuff. Can't afford to buy all new (which would be a lot easier) so it's taking longer to research prices and work out what must be new and what can be recycled. Also, Mothercare scares me a bit!

The one thing we did do last week was meet 2 ladies who we are going to have as p/n doulas. My family isn't local and my Mum isn't at all domestic and I don't want my DH trying to do everything and not getting to bond with the baby so these lovely ladies are going to come in and give us practical support (cooking, cleaning etc) + emotional/BF support. Haven't worked out how often yet - maybe a few hours a couple of times a week, but think it will be good.

All going well with the independent m/w. She had a very funny letter from my GP when she wrote to tell them I had transferred to her care and was planning a home birth. They talked about how bad the snow had been this year in January and that they all have a 4x4. It's is a bit of a joke considering we live by a very main road which was accessible throughout the snow this year and we have a train station in the village!!! Good job I am used to fighting my corner!

Well, those cupboards beckon! Have a good w/end all!

PS - Isn't it funny how the babies start getting so active - mine was having a great time at 5.30am, much to my displeasure!!

WestYorkshireGirl as you're now NCT member, check out the NCT sales in your area - absolute bargains to be had and well worth a visit although queues here start early. I've got many bargains through that (although I would def. spend the money on a new mattress and a new car seat if you need one).

bubba i thought so too Hmm she maybe did wasn't listening Grin

BabyBuzz seems to have decided she likes to stretch her feet into my ribs - nice!

BubbaAndBump · 23/10/2010 07:27

Babybubba uses my ribs to do pull-ups on, then bounces on my bladder like a trampoline. All evening and night long. The joys of the last 3 months... :o
