Looking for some fellow late Januaryers to whisper about BFPs for late Jan 2011!! Just taken the test this afternoon and thrilled to be pg with #3 potentially (two DDs who are 19m and 3y). Anyone else out there?

Hi everyone!

running that's a fab way to end work isn't it. what a lovely surprise!

hi shanster - do you want to add yourself to the list? And more boys from you and Madinitals.... it'll be trains and bugs all the way!

I'm dreading the whole people after the birth thing - I'll be at my parents, so it'll be them, me, DH (Hopefully if he makes it in time), baby and then my MIL was talking about getting train down as soon as contractions start (eeek) - actually had a mini row with her as I said in a nice way, if she was coming for more than 2 days she'd have to stay in a B&B and then she said "i'd feel left out if that was the case and wouldn't come" - stupidly I bit my tongue... wish i'd said FINE don't come. So worried after birth it'll be all cramped at my mum and dad's and i'll be stressed! There's only 2 bedrooms and it's a smallish lounge/kitchen bit - so if MIL came she'd be on sofa and i'd be stressed at night stuck in tiny bedroom with baby. And it's not like we're planning to whisk baby away without her seeing it - planning to spend a week with her in London before going back to Syria.

of course DH is useless and panders to his mum..... grrr..... so i'm always the practical evil one!

(sorry - rant there!)

On lovely side - baby kicking so so so so much.... and I'm patiently waiting for mothercare order that my mum got for us - all bedding and sleeping bags! Can't wait. I went for precious bear!

And DH flies tomorrow- so i'll see him this time next week! YAY! How am i going to cope nearer the time - it'll be 2 months without him... :(

Whinge whinge... sorry!

Blimey Cupcakes your MIL sounds like a horror. Sorry to hear you are having stress but good that DH will appear soon.

Pleasantly surprised by the dentist today who said my teeth are only slightly eroded from all the sicking Smile. I was expecting worse. Less pleased with the fecking GP surgery who won't give me my MATB1 without seeing me, and won't see me until 25 weeks. Aarrrgh! I want that seat upgrade! Will try to get through to community midwives tomorrow during the 1 hour each day they take calls.

BubbaAndBump · 20/09/2010 22:31

Bollocks! Still forgotten about MatB1 form - why can't one of you remind me telepathically during the day when I can do something about it!!

Flora have you got your NHS maternity card? Surely that would work for upgrade requirements too?

OP posts:
RunningKatie · 21/09/2010 09:27

Flora - I got my MatB1 without seeing the midwife, just had to ring and leave her a message as my 20 week appointment was with the consultant and 25 weeks midwife appt is too late to give work the 15 weeks notice for maternity leave. Hope you manage to get it sorted out.

Sleepy this morning, was up packing ebay parcels last night for posting out today. I'm not convinced that the house is getting any clearer. Just proves that it was rather cluttered before Blush

YAY! A girl for you ladybuzz - how perfect! And only an hour til DH is back!

My mothercare stuffed arrived today - all amazingly lovely and beige and bear-y and snuggly except they sent aeroplane sheets instead of the bear ones! So need to take them back.

Plus just spent 5 mins "discussing" sheets for the carrycot bit of the pram with my mum - and she is trying to insist that I have to have white - when i've seen some blue ones which are lovely! So i told her, politely, to BOG OFF! Grin

Ooooh - and freaked out a bit late last night when I felt proper baby bits sticking out of me at funny angle.... really made me feel weird - but then he moved and I felt better!

How exciting for you LadyBuzz - how did DH take the news?

Still haven't remembered to get my MatB1 form sorted - bollocky, bollocky, bollocks!

TELEPATHY PLEASE!

CupcakesHay · 21/09/2010 20:51

Bubba you make me laugh! Can't you write it on your hand???? (or maybe you're forehead!)

I need to get registered with dentist - but i'm lazy... it's half way up hill and no where to park... mustn't put it off!

ladybuzz - tell us how was DH?

and JJKM - I like the fact you blamed it on the bought frosting... nothing to do with eating it though? Wink

Yup, frosting will do it. Or chocolate, or doughnuts, or squash or coco pops...

Couldn't get through to the midwife & she didn't return my message, grrr. Work have said I can hand the form in later than the statutory limit, but that is not the point. Maybe if I take the 20 week scan report to the station, stick out my paltry bump and cry a bit...?

Congratulations on your little girl LadyB. Have you told your boys?

Is anyone else's sleep pattern shot to bits? I got in from work at 6:30pm this evening and was asleep in bed within 5 mins flat. Got up fairly bouncy half an hour ago to hunt for food. I predict a repeat of the other night when I was wide awake between 11:30pm and 4:00am after a daytime kip. Is this how it goes? The Floraling spent much of today beating me senseless, which may explain it Smile.

Ladybuzz lovely news about having a girl. What did your DH say? Tell him to be prepared to be wrapped around her little finger from day 1!

JJKM I had horrible heartburn last time so you have my sympathy. Gaviscon seemed to help and also trying to eat little and often rather than big meals.

Flora I'm into the weird sleep pattern thing as well and going to punch the next person who wisely nods their head on hearing this and tells me its just the baby getting me ready for sleepless nights when it arrives arrggghhhh!

Bubba MATB1 FORM!!! Hopefully you heard that. Haven't done mine yet either so must try to remember this week.

LadyBuzz · 22/09/2010 16:14

DH said she was never having her ears pierced and she couldn't leave the house til she was 30 Grin I said the same as you fuzzy he will be hooked from day 1! Grin

I've been looking at pink things Grin

We told DS1 and he said well yeah I already knew that Hmm DS2 couldn't care less still!

jjkm poor you I have it too and its awful. You have my sympathies.

bubba MATB1 form!

Got my bloods back today, I havea vit B12 deficiency which is why I feel so crap and tired. Going for some vits tomorrow see if they help!

My DH is clearly more relaxed than yours Ladybuzz, I overheard him telling DD, who was 2 days old at the time, that she wasn't allowed a boyfriend until she was 25. :o Hope the vitamins help.
Glad you're felling better today JJKM long may it last.
Having a nice quiet night as DH is away with work and for the first time in about a month DD has gone to bed without a fuss. Fingers crossed it lasts.

LadyBuzz · 23/09/2010 08:13

flora lol at your DH mine is obv an old fart Grin

jjkm they haven't given me anything, just sent a letter saying I was deficient and needed tested again 6 months after babybuzz arrives! So today I am off to Holland and barrett to have a look for myself! Useless NHS!

I had a crap night last night, i think i was up about 5 times in total grrr! I might try to grab a nap when DS2 has his!

CupcakesHay · 23/09/2010 12:29

Hello All! Pleased it's not just me getting up loads in the night.

Grin love all the stuff about over-protective dads! I wonder if I'll be the same about my little boy? if i'll end up being a MIL that the daughter-in-law hates???

ladybuzz i agree - that's rubbish with the useless Vitamin deficiency and lack of help - you think they'd at least recommend something.

I've started to take Omega 3 pills as I don't eat fish - but god they smell awful and are HUGE to swallow.

Nothing fun baby wise to tell you - just still kicking lots and noticed last night that my "very deep" belly button is crazily shallow now - which made me laugh!

Bubba we're all on tenterhooks - did you remember the MatB1 From?

Oh - and going to wedding next next week and the brides sister has shingles - but luckily i've had chicken pox! Phew - was too excited about the wedding!

RunningKatie · 23/09/2010 13:17

Hi all

Work's not getting any calmer, I'm determined to go out for walk for some fresh air but apparently it has started raining.

I was really uncomfortable yesterday afternoon, bad pain in the bump when I walked and then when I drove home. So, spent the evening on the sofa with some rubbish tv. DP rang from Germany but was in a bar which was frustrating as I just needed a bit of reassurance. It's better than it was, but I know I need a good nights sleep tonight.

Baby is now protesting if I lie on my stomach to sleep or even on my back.

Bubba - MatB1 form?
Cupcakes - my belly button is becoming much more shallow too!

The bump is changing from being a B shape to a D, although lots of people still just seem to think I'm fat Hmm

BubbaAndBump · 23/09/2010 20:25

MatB1 form on its way!! :o :o

Fuzzywood · 26/09/2010 07:45

Yay Bubba well remembered.
I'm celebrating after finally finding a pair of maternity jeans that fit (H&M), they had some pretty nice stuff yesterday if anyone is looking for stuff.

CupcakesHay · 26/09/2010 15:24

Hello All

I'm exhausted!!!! Had friends come and stay 2 nights at my parents which was FAB but so so so tiring. I think the guy kept forgetting I was pregnant and kept making me go for long tiring walks... and then there were the late nights and the ooodles of yummy restaurant food - that i'm stuffed and shattered!

DH coming on tuesday! and i have scan... consultant's appt and my mum's birthday! I still wonder how you girls do this when you work!!!

runningkatie I'm big to start with and i was speaking to my friend about it - and she sayd, although you wouldn't be able to tell i'm pregnant if you didn't know me, she can tell as i've changed shape. Plus she says I look good as I haven't put on any weight! (actually lost about half a kilo!)

What a fab friend though! Cheered me up no end! Grin

FloraPost · 26/09/2010 20:56

I had a look in H&M yesterday too. I need an outfit for a wedding at the end of October. It seems like swanky togs for the upduffed are a bit of a niche market though, at least niche enough not to be stocked by actual shops. Jigsaw had a few nice things with a pleated front which would do, but I don't really want to spend £90 on something I'll only wear one. I don't really do dresses other than on posh occasions.

What do we think of this?

Fuzzywood · 26/09/2010 21:05

Looks lovely Flora, I know what you mean about spending loads of money on something you'll get very little wear out of. I've got a dinner to go to in a few weeks, may check out Jojo, thought they'd be really expensive but not too bad by the looks of it.
Most of the H&M stuff seemed to be day to day stuff jeans are nice and comfy though.

Ryuk · 26/09/2010 23:56

Thanks for all the supportive posts earlier in the thread. I went for the tests last Thursday, they said I won't find out anything until next (this upcoming) Thursday. We've still got everything crossed but are feeling a bit more positive now.

Cupcakes, I think some people don't realise how much it can limit you. The guy who runs the charity I volunteer for wanted to send me in the middle of October to a week's conference in the Ukraine. I was flattered and would have loved to have gone, but had to tell him I didn't think I'd be physically capable of it, at which he seemed genuinely confused. Poor guy.

Flora I think the dress looks very swanky. :)
