Morning girls,

Good luck with the results of your scan Amanda and I hope you are feeling a little better Rach.

Oh to be on holiday you lucky devil TicTac! My sicky feelings have more or less gone but when I get too hot I still start gipping so you are probably, like you say, feeling a little groggy from the heat - I have NO sympathy though

3K - you feeling any better today, have the abs kicked in?

3k · 08/09/2005 10:03

Morning Ladies,

RachelRog and Amanda1 my thoughts are with you. Hope all works out for the best, keep your chin up and sod everyone else!! I'll be thinking of you.

Chloe I'm feeling a little bit better round my belly today, it wasnt as painful when I first woke this morning which is has been all week when I have a full bladder. Still not feeling 100% in myself but off tomorrow so just going to watch daytime tv all day and chill out. Hoping to be back on form by Monday!!

I seem to have grown a lot this week, my sister was ok holiday for 10 days and came back and was really surprised how much I had grown! I like my bump though, cant wait to get HUGE!!!!!!!

Boss just gone out so can send message but he will be back in an hour

chloe55 · 08/09/2005 10:18

My bump seems to have rapidly grown this week too. I have a very obvious pregnant belly now and when I lay down it still sticks up in the air . Struggling on the clothes front - I have bought a few items but I think I really need to do a spending spree to be comfortable throughout this pregnancy.

3k · 08/09/2005 10:38

I have bought a few bits now, the trousers I got from Blooming Marvellous are great I did get a pair from Next but I really didnt like them so I sent them back! I need tops more than anything, especially work tops. Been using DH's t-shirts at the weekends which has helped!! We are going to Wales next weekend and my friend there has just had a baby so she is going to lend me a load of hers. The baby was 10.5lbs when he was born and no stitches!!!!!! OUCH!

chloe55 · 08/09/2005 11:01

Jeez! My mum told me a horror story this weekend. She said that after she had me and AF came back she couldn't even use super Tampax because they just fell out! I thought the body was designed to go back to 'fairly' normal functioning after. Haven't told DH that this is a possibility - he'd be mortified. Sorry to be so blunt

Tabs · 08/09/2005 11:47

Oh Chloe - what a lovely conversation to have with your mum !

Chloe - my belly's always stuck up in the air when I lie down - nothing to do with Chip!!!

I can't decide if my bras are getting tight or not. As I'm at home on my own all day I've just been letting it all hang out , but now when I have to wear a bra it feels a bit uncomfy. It's not the cup sizes - they haven't grown at all in that respect, but I'm wondering if it's possible for my back size to have grown. I suppose there's only one way to find out, and that's to get out a tape measure!

3k · 08/09/2005 11:55

Chloe - Oooooooooo ouch!! I hope we don't have that problem!!!! How nasty!!!

I just won 3 of those foamy winnie the pooh things for the nursery off of e-bay. They have a really nice rug on there at there at the moment too.

Boss is back so may not be able to talk a lot but when he isnt looking I shall be reading and typing on mumsnet!!

3k · 08/09/2005 11:57

Tabs - I have outgrown all my bras except one as the others make a line under my boobs. Going to go to mothercare in a few weeks and get measured for some new ones. Going to buy 2 to keep me going for now. My boobs are still leaking too, spoke to midwife and she said every woman is different and it is nothing to worry about.

chloe55 · 08/09/2005 12:02

ood news on the foam wall thingys 3K, I got a cd eeyore wall clock yesterday too. Haven't told DH yet though, he thinks I go on ebay all day (he's wrong though, at least I stop for lunch ) Hmmm, leaky boobs, still not liking that idea. Have just been having a conversation with a colleague about when she mastitis - sounds painful, not looking forward to the booby bit but will def be giving it a go.

YeahBut · 08/09/2005 17:13

Chloe - PMSL at your mum's story! I wouldn't worry too much as I think it must be a highly unusual condition!!!

Rachel and Amanda - Am thinking of you both lots. Take care of yourselves.

Tabs · 08/09/2005 18:10

Well ladies, I'm feeling quite virtuous now. It's been weeks since I last did any exercise, and was starting to worry that I'd have to be surgically removed from my arm chair when the time comes to give birth, so I finished work early and went swimming this afternoon. Glad I did, as I hadn't realised how unfit I'd become in the last few months - got all achey across my shoulders, so must go more often.

Have also organised to go to an ante-natal yoga class on Monday. Never done yoga before so that should be interesting. Did someone else say recently that they were doing this, or have I imagined it?

Tabs · 08/09/2005 18:30

For those of you who've been on this thread since the early days, thought you may like to know that Savannah is still pregnant, but it appears that her due date has moved to March. It sounds like things are going well for her. Don't have any more info than that, but there's another thread (really not worth reading) which mentions her and gives an update.

Savannah - if you still look in from time to time then I'm glad to hear that things are going better for you.

Morgan · 08/09/2005 20:40

Hi Tabs. I was supposed to be going to my first pregnancy yoga session tonight but i forgot ! I'm blaming the hormones and a v busy week! I did yoga for a year before until about Jan this year and i'm sure it will be very good in pregnancy.

Frizbe · 08/09/2005 21:10

Amanda1 and Rachelrog, hope things are ok for you girls today, Tictac, hope you have a great rest of hols!! just think next time you'll have your baby in tow!!

spacecadet · 08/09/2005 22:45

rachelrog-sorry to see you had a rough time, it must have been horrible for you.
amanda1, i remeber an earlier thread of yours regarding your ex-dp, fwiw, my partner walked out on me when i was 7 weeks preg with my second child, i spent the whole of my pregnancy in tears and he flaunted his new gf in my face, i was al;l on my own as my family were 230 miles away etc, keeping my fingers crossed for your amnio.

TicTac · 09/09/2005 00:33

Amanda - do you get your results today? Thinknig of you

I'm doing well except for lots of tearful hormones.

Oooh, I met someone yesterday that put my bump in perspective! I thought my bump was big, and saw her and assumed she was due Dec/very early Jan... Mid Feb is the actual date though! She did have the glowy look about her too - Do I get to bloom sometime soon???

Those with huge bumps now... do you think we're destined to be house sized by the end, or that it will all level out more as we get further on?

YeahBut · 09/09/2005 09:02

It better or people will be coming at me with harpoons by the end of all this!!

chloe55 · 09/09/2005 09:15

I know, tell me about it - I quite like the size at the mo, I am obviously pregnant but it is still not uncomfortable to carry around other than the odd backache. I dread to think how hard it will be to walk with a 10 tonne weight out in front.

flamesparrow · 09/09/2005 14:57

I kept my belly button all the way through with DD... I seem to have a ridiculously deep one, and it just got shallower - each week you could see a new scar from piercings or laparoscopy!

chloe55 · 09/09/2005 15:24

Gosh I sound like you Flame, I also have a very very deep bellybutton and have both piercing and laparoscopy scar! How big did your scar stretch and did it go back to being small after your first? Have been a little concerned - madly been applying stretchmark cream as I seem prone to them but scar is getting bigger and bigger I know I am being a bit vain but still want to be reasonably mark free after pregnancy (unless of course I have to have CS, in which case these things happen)

flamesparrow · 09/09/2005 15:27

My belly button went pretty much back to normal deep size - ever so slightly shallower, but that could be more to do with weight gain

The scars didn't stretch either.

I need to start with the cream again... I already have a pile of stretch marks (they appeared 2 days before DD was born, and since I was so overdue, if I'd had her on time, I would have been fine )

spacecadet · 09/09/2005 19:12

i have a belly button like the black hole of calcutta, it never changes, no matter how huge i get, never even gets shallow.

Frizbe · 10/09/2005 16:46

Where are you all today? have you been sucked into Spacecadets belly button?
