Evening everyone.

Well we have had a busy couple of days - picked up a new car today (well new to us anyway!) - had to swop the other one as couldn't get 3 car seats in the back!

Also have been sale shopping and picked up a load of maternity stuff in the next outlet for next to nothing - ie. £3 or £4 per item, so have a few more clothes in my wardrobe for my ever expanding tummy!

Hope everyone else is ok. Now I am just dreading telling work the 'news', as I don't think they will be that overjoyed about me having 9 months off work - must be playing on my mind though as I keep dreaming about it!

Hello everyone and belated Happy Christmas!

It's been a while (again) since I posted but have had busy Christmas - having bad stomach bug for a week last week didn't help... Kept on eating and drinking fluids though so the baby shouldn't have noticed it.

Great to hear about everyone's scans going well. I have my nuchal scan on Thursday (had scan two weeks ago but was three days too early) when I'll be 12+5, which feels v late.

Does anyone know about exercise - really feel like I need to do some, but don't want to ride my bike as it's too cold. Presume sit-ups are out of the question? Is there a good pilates or yoga for pregnancy dvd? Have felt a real hardening and growing of bump over past few days but want to keep everything else fit and healthy!

hi ladies just thought id let you know that i lost my baby over xmas a week before xmas i started to have some brown discharge every time i wiped so went to my gp who sent we straight to hospital for a scan, they found a very healthy but empty 10 week sac which they diagnosed as a blighted ovum, i started to miscarry on xmas day and bleeding has finally subsided today, im absolutely gutted but have to accept that it wasnt ment to be and be grateful for the 3 beautiful kids i already have. I wish you all the very best for the remainder of your pregnancies.

Oh darydork how awful, I'm so sorry to hear that, and at Christmas as well. You look after yourself now and I wish you all the very best. Please don't beat yourself up about the fags, it's totally understandable and 2010 is a new start.

Shit darydork, awful thing to happen at any time, but especially on Christmas Day. I gave up smoking nearly 3 years ago but in your situation I'd be having a few cigs too.

Just popped on to say hello, had meant to say yesterday that you got some great bargins kitty was that online or did you go to the shop?

Nice to here from you berberis rotten about tummy bug think theres loads going about at the moment. They say swimming and light exercise is fine during pregnancy, if you havent been active before try not to go mad. Our local swimming offers aqua aerobics for pregnant women I think I will join in the new year. Also lots of dvds for pregnancy on amazon

I'm back from the scan! There is one baby in there and it has a heartbeat, what a relief! It's so weird seeing it wriggling around inside and you can't feel it at all.

Unfortunately they put me back by a whole week so I'm still only 10 weeks and 3 days, grr, with a new EDD of 25 July. On the plus side it meant it was too early for the nuchal scan which means I have another scan booked for 21 January and another chance to see it!

Fab news emster I cant wait till I get mine, I know I saw it at 8+4 but looking forward to seeing it when its bigger and moving about. How are you feeling? xx

Mainly feeling relieved! Still getting occasional waves of nausea but it has mainly shifted to indigestion now - does anyone else find that?

Have put my fuzzy scan pic on my profile. We bumped into the guy who did our plastering and his wife who had just had a scan at 12 weeks exactly and theirs was much clearer than ours. Poor thing, she said she was having a terrible time though, being sick all the time and she had a bad cold.
