I CANT STOP EATING! Trying to make it all healthy but i'm hungry every 1.5 hours, like I haven't eaten for days. S'pose that means someone's still holding on...

GibbonWithAnAppleBobbingBibOn · 27/10/2009 18:51

I know! today is my first day of crazy hunger...like a woman possesed.
I have not stopped all day

latestincarnation · 27/10/2009 19:13

Me too, my dh is out so I am shameless with the eating. And OMG the thirst!

GibbonWithAnAppleBobbingBibOn · 27/10/2009 19:20

Yes! anyone else getting the horrid headaches?

MumfieMagic · 27/10/2009 19:27

Not yet with headaches but YES the thirst!

GibbonWithAnAppleBobbingBibOn · 27/10/2009 19:31
Grin
WickedWitchSouthWest · 27/10/2009 21:37

oh sooo thirsty.....headache has gone now thankfully and hope it stays gone! I'd really rather not have to take paracetamol if I can help it, but there is some in the house now at least

I can't believe how much I'm eating either... no wonder I've got a belly on me. Meeting up with my friends who know tomorrow and they;re going to think I'm 4 months not 4 weeks!

Tomorrow I will be mostly wearing a baggy t shirt and leggings!!

latestincarnation · 28/10/2009 07:31

wwsw nooooooo fight the frump for as long as you can!!! I have my skinniest skinny jeans on today as it'll be the last time Ican wear them for 12 months!!

GibbonWithAnAppleBobbingBibOn · 28/10/2009 07:40

Well my dreams are becoming less amusing.I had the most disturbing and dreadful one last night about Peter Andre in a pair of pants.

I am off to scrub myself in the shower with bleach and wire wool.

GibbonWithAnAppleBobbingBibOn · 28/10/2009 07:45

Obviously I am so disturbed I had to post it twice

Not sure what happened there?

ApuskiDusky · 28/10/2009 08:15

LOL at Peter Andre - but important question, did he have his current hair or his nineties curtain?

I have yet to experience the gnawing hunger, I had it badly last time and put on 4 stone in total! There's nothing like finishing a big meal and then saying 'ooh, I could eat that all over again'. I kept a stash of microwavable sticky toffee puddings in the freezer if things got desperate! (I wonder how I put on 4 stone?).

Anyhow, better go do some work. I have to say, it was great timing getting pregnant just after I got myself an iPhone, so that I can post whenever. I wonder if there are any pregancy apps?

GibbonWithAnAppleBobbingBibOn · 28/10/2009 08:37

It was current hair style thankfully, though not much of a consolation you have to take the little bonuses when dreaming about Peter Andre in blue pants

pregnancy apps made me lol

WickedWitchSouthWest · 28/10/2009 09:16

lol gibbon you must have woken up sweating adn traumatised! Hope the shower helps

latest I can't FIT into my skinny jeans! It's terrifying, my boobs have gone from 32B to 34C (and that felt too tight last night), and leggings are the only comfy things at the mo! I'm so bloated it's getting ridiculous. Oh the other problem is most of my jeans are high waisted so I look like very fat in them right now I promise to stick a waist belt round the t shirt today after all I'm taking dd to the local fire station open day and I don't want to look like a bloated frump!

I bet you anything there ARE pregnancy apps! One of my friends found an app that helped him decide which biscuit to have with his coffee lol.

Mouseybrown · 28/10/2009 09:24

Thanks for your kind thoughts everyone! You are all lovely.

I've been describing my current state as 'like shetland weather'- one minute I'm cheerful and the next I'm terrified, with similar variation on feeling good/sick/headachey/bellyachey- and this is only five weeks in.

Isn't it weird having something so big going on and not being able to tell anyone? I nearly cracked on Tuesday- If anyone had walked into my office and seen me sobbing because I felt to sick the game would have been up.

WickedWitchSouthWest · 28/10/2009 10:13

oh mousey I know what you mean...I've told 3 close friends and the parents and sisters - this is only because it makes life easier if I need a duvet day, someone will be able to look after dd for me! Don't be afraid to take a day sick if you need to, I was trying to be superwoman when working and seriously, noone will give you a prize for not taking any time off when pregnant! You and the baby are more important now.

I don't know if it's because this is my second pregnancy, but I'm actually looking really well, dare I say it, glowing?! When I was pg with dd I was in a constant state of blind panic which I'm sure made me feel sicker! Also I was working full time and getting up at 6 and doing the full day in the office was bloody hard. At least by being a SAHM I can build some rest time into my day!

Hello everyone, am new to MN. Just posted a thread about my fears on the Pregnancy forum (see Newly Preggers 1st timer and PETRIFIED!) and another MNer advised me to come over hear to post the news!

Must admit am already loving MN and never been on before. Just been learning the lingo on Acronyms too! Been trying to work out what the hell BFP means and know i know!

Did first test sun, second yesterday and definately preggers. Was freaking out a bit this am (responsibility, body changing, pain of labour etc etc!!!) but a bit more settled now!

Congratulations fellow Julyers!!

FlowerBee · 28/10/2009 15:39

Hello all, new to MN. Just been advised by a MNer on my first post on pregnancy (see Newly Preggers 1st timer and PETRIFIED!) to join an antenatal thread.

Must admit am already loving MN! Its brilliant.

Got my first BFP on mon (faint line) and second yesterday (strong line!). Was thrilled but also terrified (see post, e.g. responisbility, pain of labour, changes to my body etc etc!!).

Also hubby less than thrilled when i told him - i think he thought he's have more time to adjust to the idea as got pregnant on the first try (really not expecting to)! He's coming round now though i can't stop thinking about part of his reaction to the news being now he "can't buy a sports car or expensive golf clubs".

Due July 2nd 2010 according to calculations. Already told my Mum she's thrilled.

Am loving my plumped up boobs and lips! Hoping Morning sickness stays away for a long time!

Congrats all my fellow Julyers!! xx

FlowerBee · 28/10/2009 15:40

Sorry, just getting used to this - suplicating myself already!

FlowerBee · 28/10/2009 15:41

Err that was 'duplicating'!

ApuskiDusky · 28/10/2009 16:12

Hi FlowerBee, many congratulations and welcome! (just had a peek at your pregnancy thread as well).

I think what someone said on your thread is really true - with pregnancy lasting 40 weeks, there is plenty of time for you and your dh to get your head round it. In fact, it can feel so long that people often long for labour to start just to get on with it!

GibbonWithAnAppleBobbingBibOn · 28/10/2009 16:23

Welcome Flowerbee and congrats!

GibbonWithAnAppleBobbingBibOn · 28/10/2009 16:27

An Apuski is so right, DH and I were walking around in a daze when I got my BFP with DD and it was a while before it seemed real

Now we can't remember what life was like before she came along

FlowerBee · 28/10/2009 17:03

Can't say i've had any dreams about Peter Andre (!) Gibbon but yes initially had really bad headaches. Didn't take anything for them but what can you take when your preggers for pain-relief? Im guessing just paracetomol, or is it just positive thinking for headaches from now on?

Am also quite thirsty WickedWitch but not peeing very much - i'm slightly concerned as to where all the fluid it going!! To my head perhaps?

Also put my skinny jeans on today latestincarnation just to make the most of it while i can. Wont be long if my bum and bump follow my boobs!

ApuskiDusky · 28/10/2009 18:22

OMG, there are 147 pregnancy apps for the iPhone! Useful features include: update your calendar with a countdown (looks a bit too much like a ticker to me ); predict what your baby will look like by choosing 12 facial features of you and your partner; weight gain analysis; count the daily kicks; time your contractions; and my personal favourite, your own Kegels exercise routine! Hey I'm sorted!
