Glad your test came back so strong too WickedWitch! We must all try to relax now and enjoy the feeling

12 week scan does feel like a lifetime away though doesn't it?

WickedWitchSouthWest · 25/10/2009 21:35

it does - it will be christmas week I think for me. It just seems so far away (albeit with a huge amount of work to do yet!) so I think I might run it past dh and see what he thinks.

Oh this is fun! I'm sat here with my jeans undone and bra off. Marvellous. Can't believe how bloated I am!

ApuskiDusky · 25/10/2009 21:46

I've been feeling a bit rubbish today, really tired and a bit sick. It's like my body has decided to create pregnancy symptoms the minute I find out I'm pregnant.

ApuskiDusky · 25/10/2009 21:49

But I'd hate to sound like I've gone from giddy excitement to miserable about symptoms in about 12 hours! Still secretly going 'yey!' quite a lot!

WickedWitchSouthWest · 25/10/2009 22:08

me too I keep being asked by dh how I'm feeling and the answer is RUBBISH with a massive cheesy grin on my mush

GibbonWithAnAppleBobbingBibOn · 26/10/2009 07:09

I'm the same, my biggest clue that I was pregnant was the exhaustion hitting me like a train a few days ago and the waves of nausea (exactly like last time) and it's so lovely enjoying feeling rubbish. I am sure the euphoria will wear off slightly if I start throwing up

Really lovely to have this thread, am keeping it quiet in RL for the moment.

WickedWitchSouthWest · 26/10/2009 11:37

I'm afraid I have a big mouth so 3 close friends know, as do our parents and sisters. At least I have plenty of help if I really need an afternoon passed out on the sofa!

I'm finding I'm ok in the mornings at the mo, it gets steadily worse through the day, really bad after lunch and then I must sleep before 6pm or I'm dead!

This thread is brilliant for being able to get all the random symptoms written down and the daft paranoid thoughts out of my head!

ApuskiDusky · 26/10/2009 11:46

The tiredness is still here today, no sickness feeling so far. I am reclining on the sofa whilst ds watches Waybaloo, with me telling myself that there is nothing wrong with a bit of telly! I have to rest a bit today, I work 4 days a week so today is my day at home; it's hard to get the balance of being 'fun mum' and resting a bit though!

GibbonWithAnAppleBobbingBibOn · 26/10/2009 12:42

When I say keeping it quiet I have told a couple few close friends but in general am waiting a while. though it is tempting to grab every passing stranger and tell them.

Apuski, it's important to get rest so you are fun mum

Not so tired today nor sick thankfully but I think they came with a vengeance around 6 weeks with DD.

I'm like you WW finding by 7 I am ready for bed!

WickedWitchSouthWest · 26/10/2009 15:40

ooo my boobs are killing me! I've had to dig out a bigger bra from the recesses of my drawer! Already gone up from a 32B to 34C I think I'll be going to non wired sooner rather than later this time (altho still putting off the dreaded maternity bras until I give birth if i can!!)

apuski I agree with gibbon it really is no good being exhausted and trying to be fun. I'm lucky at this time of day, dd likes to have a chill out with Cbeebies on so I should really get my head down too...oops.

latestincarnation · 26/10/2009 16:40

Hello! WWSW has been over to collect me from the July bus stop - so here I am!! BFP today, faint but there, so will test again in a couple of days (testing addict lol) but feel exhausted and DH said he suspected as much, I was so hormonal I even cried at the end of Emma last night

Just starting what it will be like with a 21mth old and baby but lots of fun

GibbonWithAnAppleBobbingBibOn · 26/10/2009 17:41

Hello latestincarnation, congrats on your BFP!

ApuskiDusky · 26/10/2009 17:43

Congratulations latestincarnation! And welcome to the thread.

A bit WWSW on the bra size boost, I wouldn't mind - though it might make people notice sooner than I want them to!

MumfieMagic · 26/10/2009 18:02

Congratulations everyone, great to know there are others out there experiencing the same things. I am sort of excited, I think! I got pregnant for the first time back in July and had a MC at 7 weeks in August. We weren't actively TTC so it was a bit of a shock but, when we found out, we were super happy (my Father died two months previously and it seemed like the perfect thing to happen).

Since then, AF visited at the end of September and then felt in October that I needed to 'get back on the horse' with DH to try and feel normal! My DH is now away, not back until Saturday, I felt really tired and was due AF so I did a test yesterday (BFP)but I had a small slake of red blood this morning, enough to do another test (still BFP).

Been to see my GP today in minor blind panic who gave me a withered look and said wait a couple of weeks and see what occurs.

So, i'm kind of excited but also kind of apprehensive as I really don't want to go through all the sadness again so soon.

Hoping I can share it with you guys until DH comes back and seriously hoping that i'm a bit better at the egg and spoon race this time!

Mouseybrown · 26/10/2009 19:13

Another newbie signing in! waves .

I am apparently 4 weeks with a honeymoon baby (1st) due 2nd July.

I say apparently because I don't feel remotely ready for any of this- thought would have a good year to get used to the idea as am 35 next month. Mother nature eh...??

Sorry to sound a bit low, the clocks going back always makes me miserable and the throwing up this morning really didn't help.

Hope everyone else is feeling more perky than me !

WickedWitchSouthWest · 26/10/2009 21:54

evening all! hello newbies [waving!]

Congrats to you mumfie I hope it's sticky. I think we're all still at the frantic knicker checking stage!

And congrats mousey on the honeymoon baby! How lovely I didn't have time to get used to the idea of having children before having dd but I've survived! I do know what you mean, but once you're out of the first trimester and feeling better then you'll cheer right up, promise

apuski it's no fun really! I'm in pain! Also a little concerned coz when bf with dd I went as big as GG (from a B this is terrifying) and STILL couldn't see my feet! Hope that it doesn't happen that way before the baby is born. Eek, I'll look ridiculous.

GibbonWithAnAppleBobbingBibOn · 26/10/2009 21:57

Welcome MM and Mouseybrown and congrats!

MM I can understand your apprehension and it must be very tough, so sorry to hear of your MC sending positive vibes and keep posting

Mousey - the throwing up is horrid, am hoping to escape it this time but already feeling yuck so not too hopeful. You have many months and us to help you over the shock

I am off to bed now, surprised I made it this late the way I have been feeling tired

GibbonWithAnAppleBobbingBibOn · 26/10/2009 21:58

Hello WWSW you still awake too?

ApuskiDusky · 26/10/2009 22:13

Just checking in before bed! Hi all, welcome and congratulations to mumfie and mousey.

Mumfie, it must be tough all this happening when your dh is away, try not to worry too much (easier said than done, I'm sure).

And mousey, honeymoon baby, how exciting! Don't worry about moaning, you may have noticed that most of us are all doing it a little

WWSW, I guess I woudn't covet larger boobs if it came with pain. Sadly I peaked at a C cup last time...

Today I have:

  • tried to find nice non alcoholic wines, given up and ordered some alcohol free beer instead (fyi, Cobra, Becks and Bitburger are the best)
  • dug out my pregnancy book (I know, premature!) as I have no recollection of what is meant to be happening - blastocysts anyone?
  • managed to not tell a friend who is 23 weeks preg - though when I said I had been tired, she asked 'any particular reason?' and gave me a hard stare...
WickedWitchSouthWest · 26/10/2009 22:22

gibbon am just about awake! Ate too much dinner so have to let that go down before lying on it lol. Luckily I had a bit of a rest earlier at my mums

apuski glad someone is checking out non alcoholic options! I'm not a beer drinker tho, but if you find a good non alky cider, I'm interested . Funny enough I've also dug out The Pregnancy Bible Glad that's not just me. Oh and like an idiot I put on my facebook status that I was driving so not drinking and cue 6 emails asking if I was pregnant! Ppl seem to have a 6th sense

GibbonWithAnAppleBobbingBibOn · 27/10/2009 07:53

Morning chaps - despite being so tired I spent the night having weird, vivid dreams and feeling wide awake

The most elusive thing in this world is a decent non alcoholic wine imo. Have never managed to find one over the years [sigh] mind you I went off alcohol with DD so maybe the same this time?

I lent my fab pregnancy book to a pal a few years back and funnily enough was wishing I hadn't last night as I had the urge to look at it. I may have to order another one.

Hope you are all well this morning

latestincarnation · 27/10/2009 08:23

Morning everyone! Well, was in bed at 8pm with light off at 8.30 - dh came in and said "your not really off to bed are you?" then climbed in and was snoring within 5 mins! Luckily ds stayed asleep until 6am this morning so I feel human again!! (for now anyway )

I have really sore boobs - i've just stopped bfing, so I think the combo of that and pregnancy hormones is going to give me some fun for the next couple of weeks. TMI but I've got leaking boobs for the first time in months - I DO NOT FEEL ATTRACTIVE (gah, sorry about the hormonal rant!)

MumfieMagic · 27/10/2009 08:42

Hey everyone, thanks for kind thoughts, really appreciate it.

Gibbon I too am having weird vivid dreams, convinced if I dreamt them out loud i'd be arrested!

I tried to stay awake until 10.30 last night, also reading my pregnancy bible, rock and roll hey?!

Good intel on the n/a beers Apuski, if they ever invent n/a red wine I may need to remortgage!

Trying to remain 'normal' today so off to Legs Bums and Tums, eek.

ApuskiDusky · 27/10/2009 17:32

Oh dear, I don't think I read the right chapters in my pregnancy book. I arrive at a big work meeting with a buffet lunch spread out, and almost everything in it was stuff I know I'm not supposed to eat or stuff I can't actually remember if I can eat or not. Think soft and blue cheeses, pate, seafood platter, pork pies (?), and mousse for dessert. So I had a bit of the one hard cheese they had and crackers. Yum yum. Luckily all attendees are 50 something men who wouldn't notice if I was there with an 8 month bump...

Back to the pregnancy bible...

GibbonWithAnAppleBobbingBibOn · 27/10/2009 18:11

Luckily all attendees are 50 something men who wouldn't notice if I was there with an 8 month bump...

See, now I am fanciful and almost tasting vintage cheddar as I type...I am actually drooling.
