Sorry just that way built, i think!

Sigh. Too much to do. Want to have everything sorted in 6 weeks, cos then i will have 6 weeks left.

DH wants to go out paintballing/pub on Saturday and i very nervous. Hate him for doing this.

jumblies · 01/10/2009 20:37

Thanks for the suggestions re books. I have ordered the house in my mummy book from amazon and have got a couple more on reserve from the library Just reread thread and realised i forgot to order the mummy laid an egg one, duh!

littlemonkeysmummy I had SPD last time round and agree it isn't too much fun. I am trying to be really careful this time round as don't want to get it again.

milliemuffin I am really scared of that first yr of having a baby and a toddler (dd will be 2 yrs 3 months when baby arrives) My dd was a terrible sleeper and only slept through when she was about 14 months old and I am dreading the sleepless nights of a baby coupled with the early risings on a toddler (dd gets up by 6am, sometimes 5.30) I am wondering how I'm going to cope with the exhaustion I guess I will need to stock up on the redbull

sparklycheerymummy you just reminded me that my mum told me the facts when I was about 6 and when my great aunt and uncle came to stay I apparently climbed into their bed and asked them if they were going to make a baby as 'men and women fit together like jigsaws' they thought it was really funny. I was quite a precocious child

Goldensnitch that sounds lovely, are they thinking europe or further afield? It will be great fun and you have built in babysitters too so can probably slope off for romantic dinners with your DH. I am jealous

scorps I can't wait to buy my phil and teds and test it out but we just found out we have a leak in the downstairs bathroom and need a plumber asap...We've also just had a big unforeseen car bill which has taken a fair chunk of the money we'd set aside for baby stuff I am hoping the maternity grant will come through soon.

Sorry that your DH has made you feel like this. It will take a while for the trust to come back. Perhaps you need a night out whilst he babysits for you, why should he get all the fun!

bluechampagne glad the scan showed baby is ok. I have left DD with my mum for both of my previous scans (good thing with the 12 week one where we waited around for 3 1/2 hrs) but wondered if it might be nice for her to come to my 32 week scan, not really sure if she will be that interested though esp since the baby always looks so fuzzy that I can barely tell what is on the screen

DD is still on the rampage as she had a late nap this afternoon, better get her washed and ready for bed. I am exhausted just thinking about having to do bedtime for two in December.

Claire236 · 02/10/2009 10:03

Scorps - You've given me hope. After ds1 I was back in normal clothes within a week but assumed I wouldn't be lucky enough to have that happen again but maybe I will.

Kiddicare.com is always worth a look for anything baby related. We bought a Chicco Polly Magic highchair from them for £40 less than it was everywhere else.

GoldenSnitch · 02/10/2009 10:28

Not sure where we're going yet jumblies. Dh has to come up with some ideas then they're meeting up next week to decide where to go. We'll have an 8 month old so I can't be anywhere too hot or with too long a plane journey.

It's the PIL's anniversary so I doubt they'll be wanting to babysit for us - even though it's likely to be our 5th wedding anniversary while we're away! Maybe we can work out something with the SIL's??

Now very of Scorps and Claire, it was months before my old clothes fitted me!! I even asked the consultant doing my section to make me skinny but that didn't work ;)

been for 31 week check with mw this morning. all good, bump measuring 31cm which apparently is good. so feeling ok!
parents coming this aft and off to have a look at pushchairs. then start NCT tomorrow! eek.
god knows what size I will be once baby is born...i don't think i will be back into normal clothes in a week though!!!

Stigaloid · 02/10/2009 12:49

Went to Dr's this morning as feeling very tired. Having blood test to check for iron and liver function test as itchy as hell throughout this pregnancy. Bump measured and it is 28 - althoug it was 28 last week and the week before - but i keep being measured by different people and everyone does it differently so i have been told not to worry about it. I am pretty sure it is getting bigger! Being poked alot and DS1 is having trouble sleeping at the moment. I think he is becoming more aware of a baby arriving soon as he suddenly wants to be carried everywhere and is becoming a bit more hard work. Then again - it could just be part of being 2!

Scorps · 02/10/2009 14:43

My dd is being a bit more of a handful lately, but she is ocming up 18 months, just at that age

Please talk me out of the bright pink cami p&t. Please remind me black/charcoal is better. Thankyou.

What is everyone doing that has toddlers WRT bouncy chairs? I was thinking of Graco Sweetpeace Swing. Looks stable?

Scorps · 02/10/2009 14:43

Stigaloid - Hope your results come back good, i get my iron results on Monday.

GoldenSnitch · 02/10/2009 14:52

Got to be Black Scorps - else we won't match

Probably better resale value too and black won't clash with red clothes like a pink camo one would. Or pink camo clothes come to think of it!

I'm digging out Ds's old bouncy chair. He had the stripey one from Blooming Marvellous. Only used it for a few weeks so it's almost brand new.

Remember your shredded wheat for those of you getting Iron tablets too. They've made things bearable for me!!

Jumblies you just really made me chuckle. Am busy throwing stuff out and getting stuff sorted. Am due in 8 or 9 weeks and feel as if it is going to fly by!!!

Mybox · 03/10/2009 20:13

Hello - hope everyone is doing fine. Here just feeling tired! Also trying to get xmas pressies sorted out so I'm not busy when I'm even bigger than I am now!!

lolianja · 03/10/2009 20:18

Hi everyone, hope you're all well.

Not much new with me, still being monitored closely (have another scan upcoming) due to the low fluid levels. One twin is a lot more active than the other but both are developing well and my amniotic fluid levels haven't done anything dodgy so all's well as far as can be told! I'm still carrying very small though, if I wear a coat you can barely see a hint of bump (although very obviously pregnant without one of course!)

My little boy is 7 months old and still trying in vain to crawl more efficiently than his current (failing) army shuffle-style stuff so at least I don't have to panic about him crawling/running off JUST yet!

Very stupidly stormed 7 miles home in a temper (long story) the other day and had to be checked over at mw's insistence.. thankfully everything was normal.

Milliemuffin · 03/10/2009 21:32

Hi girls, i've had a pain on the right hand side of my pubic bone for about a month and yesterday I had it all down the left of the bone and it got quite bad and I had some paracetamol but it didn't really ease until I woke up this morning. I'm a bit afraid to ask but could this be the start of SPD? My bony rear also really aches sometimes (it virtually disappears as soon as i sit down) but nothing like the pain at the front.

GoldenSnitch · 04/10/2009 08:31

Had a bit of a scare of Friday. Came over with terrible nausea and a headache then got flashing lights before my eyes when I tried to stand up!

Called the midwife who told me to go straight to the doctors. Nurse took my blood pressure and it had gone up to 127/70 and I had trace protien in my urine!! Doctor took my blood pressure again a few minutes later and decided it hadn't gone up, it was 110/60 and fine and I could go home.

I was really scared the Pre Eclampsia had come back! I'm only 28 weeks. Didn't get it till I was term last time.

madmissy · 04/10/2009 08:57

has a 4d re scan yesterday as i complained about the first... but thats another story

was great but been told i have a low lying placenta and i need checking out

GoldenSnitch · 04/10/2009 09:03

I got told I have a low lying placenta at my 20 week scan madmissy.

Was told to carry on as usual but if I had any bleeding, to go straight to the hospital. All has been fine so far and I have another scan booked at 32 weeks to see if it's moved - they usually do apparently.

OP posts:
madmissy · 04/10/2009 09:11

mine wasn't low lying at my 12 week or 20 week lol

so baffled i seem to move backwards lol

just worried when it comes to placenta as i had the manual removal and pph with it last time and was horrendous

GoldenSnitch · 04/10/2009 09:35

I suppose I'm less worried than I might otherwise be as I'm probably going to end up with another section anyway so placenta will be manually removed then wheatever happens and it doesn't really matter where it is.

So long as I don't bleed all is good

OP posts:
madmissy · 04/10/2009 09:36

i dont mind the manual removal its the going up my vajayjay to manually remove... oh and the blood

Claire236 · 04/10/2009 11:21

Fingers crossed for no pre-eclampsia & placentas being in the right place for everyone.

I'll have another scan on Thursday & I'm wondering if baby might be head down now as he's definitely moved. If everythings normal again this time I'll be able to relax a bit as it will have been over 4 weeks since I was discharged from hospital. Got to see totally useless mw on Weds but I'll just ignore everything she says & get out as soon as possible.

madmissy · 04/10/2009 20:29

goldensnitch avoid that nikki girl please! shes trouble

GoldenSnitch · 05/10/2009 08:10

Thanks madmissy, will do.

I dont know how im possibly going to get bigger?. Im not large but my skin is stretched so tight its really uncomfortable! gah another 9 and a bit weeks to go...

Scorps · 05/10/2009 13:20

ABF - do you use some kind of tummy oil? May help the tight feeling.

My iron level came back as 11.6 which is ok.

My lost baby would have been due this Thursday, may of already been here but i am very lucky to have my dd2 already

GoldenSnitch · 05/10/2009 13:36

Scorps - my baby would have been 2 and a half weeks old today. So glad we have our new baby's to look forward to right now.

I always slather my tummy in some cream called "Mummylicious" that my sister got for me whenever I'm feeling tight and sore. Seems to help a little. I'm going to have some monster stretch marks this time!!
