i have bio oil and palmers cocoa butter stretch mark cream which i love the smell of. i do think any semi decent cream probably does the job though!!

Dizziness and nosebleeds for me today..... anyone know if this is a sign of anything x

madmissy · 05/10/2009 16:47

madmissy · 05/10/2009 17:26

lol we can hold one another's hand! what was you told about chances of it moving? im 29 weeks now... worried about the scar tissue i will have in there lol

as for the oil thing i still got stretch marks.. if you are going to get them you will i don't think anything will stop that my poor belly looks gross imo when its normal lol

Claire236 · 05/10/2009 18:03

Didn't get stretch marks with ds1 but will be amazed if I don't get them this time. I'm much bigger & my skin feels really tight.

Is anyone else really suffering with heartburn? I thought I had it bad with ds1 but this time round it's all the time & I've barely slept the last 2 nights because of it. Got tablets from dr but they don't seem to help much. Had different tablets with ds1 but different GP this time informed me that they hadn't been tested in pregnancy & could have been the reason ds1 was prem. Considering the problems I've had recently I'm not about to take any chances.

madmissy · 05/10/2009 18:07

i am lucky only had h/burn with dd1 didnt with dd2 and touch wood not got it this time but i wld swig gaviscon

Scorps · 05/10/2009 18:34

I don't have any stretchmarks, but i do use a lavender stretch mark tummy oil, it just smells and feels nice

No heartburn for me. Though i am having to watch SPD.

madmissy · 05/10/2009 19:03

scorpsa re you having any physio for the spd? i have one on thurs have images of him contorting me in all shapes lol

Scorps · 05/10/2009 19:03

No, its only really mild and i if i walk too much, i mean quite a way. So i just avoid that and its ok.

Mybox · 05/10/2009 22:22

Have lots of stretchmarks & I'm happy to have them.

sparklycheerymummy · 05/10/2009 22:32

me too but i just love the smell of the cocoa butter cream!!!! The bio oil is really for my scars from teenage spots (which i am still getting in my 30's!). anyone doing anything else to spoil themselves a little..... i have got a leaflet for the local beauty salon and plan on having a facial. . . . dont normally go for that sort of thing but had a mummy to be treat day at a spa with another pregnant friend and loved it!!!

GoldenSnitch · 06/10/2009 07:43

Really going to have to fall out with Scorps soon!! Back into maternity clothes within a week and no stretchmarks

Apparently stretch marks are genetic and if your Mum had them, you're likely to get them too. My Mum's tummy looks like crepe paper - I'm doomed!!!

I have some really faint ones from when I had DS.
Im hoping this time round will be the same!

Going to see one of my friends today, her baby has just been diagnosed brain damaged due to a bad birth, it might be cerebral palsy, I had no idea how to react, I didnt want to say "oh no!" because he's still the same lovely little boy but I couldnt exactly be happy either! Its so hard, I might google it so I can be all knowledgable.

madmissy · 06/10/2009 09:52

Oh gosh i would have no idea how to be well as normal as possible i suppose?

My mums tum has marks too shes petite and had me and my twin sisters we were all good weights

GoldenSnitch · 06/10/2009 13:08

Just try to be the same with him and her that you always are. He's still the same little boy he always was, you just know more about him now...

I'm being pathetic today. It's toddler group day again and I'm resisting going cause I'm still a bit fed up of the things those women said last week. I know what they were saying was rubbish and I feel terrible cause DS loves that toddler group and talks about it all week but I just can't make myself want to go.

I keep telling myself it's raining and he wouldn't be able to go on the little plastic motorbikes outside that he loves so much anyway and that we're going to our other group tomorrow but really, it's cause I'm dreading the idea of being stuck in a room with people who think I'm fat

GS what was said? i missed that?

GoldenSnitch · 06/10/2009 14:32

2 of them went on for ages about how I was far too big already to be due in December, how I looked like I was due in a few weeks and how bump was far too low for it to be a girl. I ended up feeling like a freak.

OP posts:
madmissy · 06/10/2009 14:33

what cows!
well i have been told so many conflicting things its stupid
i think that some people forget that you are a human and you have feelings! you dont lose all that when you become pg!

GoldenSnitch · 06/10/2009 14:45

Was told I was measuring perfectly for dates at my last doctors appointment so bump shouldn't be any bigger than anyone else at 28 weeks pregnant but I'm 5'1" and a size 10/12 so I guess it just looks bigger on me.

Too late to go now anyway as it finishes at 3. Bit fed up with myself for depriving DS of Toddler Group but I just couldn't go. We've only been going for a few weeks so I don't have any friends there who I could chat to and take my mind off it.

DS will be going to the attached Pre-school in April and I wanted him to be able to make some friends and get to know the room beforehand so he would be more comfortable being left there. I've never left him anywhere before (except with close friends or family) so it's going to be a big deal for both of us and I want to make it as easy as possible.

Hello everyone - alright if I join you? I'm due on Dec 24th, baby number three. Have a four year old daughter and two year old little boy. Don't know what we're having this time.
