I get some very sore kicks sometimes. She seems to be sideways at the moment though so it's not too bad.

Going to pick my new buggy up this afternoon. Very excited

Hi everyone

My dd2 kicks bigger, but not uncomfortably yet. I am quite tall so baby has alot of room to move yet i think. Sometimes i do get lumps sticking out

Which new buggy? I am getting excited about getting mine in next few weeks. I only have buggy, bouncy chair and breastfeeding pads to buy. Possibly some BF pj's as it will be cold.

MW appt tomorrow.

Phil and Teds Sport with a doubles kit

Just been to Toddler group with DS. 2 women there almost had me in tears going on and on about how huge I was and how they couldn't believe that my due date was in December

Why is it people think it's OK to tell a pregnant woman she's enormous. I feel fat and freakish and unattractive now. Got to go out this afternoon and all I want to do is hide.

Plus, according to these women, baby is very, very low and scan must have been wrong so now I'm panicing that we don't have any boys names...

Oh other people always know best, you know. Pregnant women, any shape or size are beautiful. Your bump is housing your healthy little girl, and well done you!! Just ignore them. Your scan will have been right, i'm sure.

People always say to me about the size of my bump too, it is quite small and neat i suppose and people think i'm about 14 weeks (I'm 28 weeks). My other bumps have been thisway too, but i have 8 1/2lb babys! People are silly.

Excited about your buggy!! We will get P&T Sport or Dash too. What colour did oyu get? I'm seriously fighting the urge to get bright pink cami

Moosy · 29/09/2009 15:38

GS, that's bollocks about having a low bump meaning the scan's wrong! Apparently carrying straight out the front means a boy, try telling that to DD1, DD2, and now DD3!

Kicks are hurting and making me feel ill too, and my ribs are being pushed out, they've grown by 3" since the beginning, and there's no fat, just bent out bones! Am very of you being tall and having space Scorps, I am 5'4" and have long legs/short body so the gap between my pelvis and ribs is very small, the poor baby is squooshed all out the front and has nowhere to go!

Scorps · 29/09/2009 15:40

I'm very nearly 5'10, my body is very long, i think thats why i look like i have a small bump because she has all that space to use first iyswim.

Moosy · 29/09/2009 15:50

My bump stuck out further than my SIL's bump when she was nearly 39 weeks and I was 21 weeks! I'm certainly what you'd call "all out front"!

We're going to a ball on friday and I have a dress which is supposed to be floaty, but just looks like a tent, I look huuuuuuuuuuge in it!

BexJ78 · 29/09/2009 17:45

people will tell you any old crap. I can't believe how many people have said to me you're carrying low/high and how many people are absolutely certain that it is one sex or the other.... makes me laugh really that they are such know it alls...

just waiting for DH to arrive home with cot bed...another ebay spectacular!

still getting lots of movement, but no painful bits yet like most of you described...might still have that to come!!! went to theatre on sat aft and baby was lovig the music and moving around loads...was bit bizarre but cool.

got my grant paid the other day; think it took about a fortnight from sending it off.

Got 31 week check on friday and starting NCT antenatal on saturday...eek!

GoldenSnitch · 29/09/2009 18:18

I'm 5'1"! DH is 6'. When DS was born he was 52cms - 5'1" is only 152cms - that's a third of my height on the day he was born!!! There is no up and down to go inside me so baby has to come out the front!

I told them this but they kept on and on and I ended up feeling like I was justifying myself for being fat

Of course one of the women knew my scan was wrong cause she'd had 5 boys!

My babies just take after their Daddy (thankfully, I hate being short) and are long and thin and difficult for me to carry. Midwife at the hospital said that DS's length and comparative weight (7lbs 9oz) were most probably what lead his rubbish position, my failure to progress and eventually to my c-section - hence the reason I will be having another. No way is this baby being in distress for 36 hours!!

I've ordered a black/charcoal Sport with a doubles kit, cocoon and a raincover - all for £400!. Was supposed to be picking it up today but apparently they only had red and green in so I've got to wait a bit longer till I can play - a red buggy just wouldn't go with little pink blankets .

Will have to start using it as soon as it arrives obviously

anniebigpants · 29/09/2009 18:39

Im only short too 5'3", so im carrying all out in front, DH is 6'3", when DS was born he was 56cm which is well over a third of my height of 159cms! DS is almost 4 and taking after his Daddy heightwise, he is now boob height on me. If new DS is going to be tall like his brother i can see me having to stand on the step to tell them off when they are older-lol!

Claire236 · 29/09/2009 19:08

Why do people think they can say what they like do you when you're pregnant. They should all keep their opinions to themselves. I keep getting told I'm not very big but I'm already bigger than I ever got with ds1 & feel huge & really uncomfortable. I swear I can feel my poor ribs parting sometimes which is horribly painful. That combined with my aching pelvis & hideous heartburn. I'm not good at this pregnant thing.

We've bought a Cosatto Cabi which I'm totally in love with. Under normal circumstances it would still be boxed up but after my week in hospital thought we'd better be prepared.

sparklycheerymummy · 29/09/2009 19:30

i am just big fat and pregnant and love it.... dont care what people think.... i was 3 stone lighter to start with with dd1 so obviously not as big. have stretch marks the lot this time and have renamed them 'love lines' someone told me they could tell i was pregnant from behind so it must be a boy........... i just said no.... i just have a fat arse!!!!! which i had anyway!!!!!!!!

GoldenSnitch · 29/09/2009 19:33

Sounds like me and you have the same problem Annie

DS is now 93cms at 2 and a half and so over half my height!! My Mum is a teacher and has always made her kids sit down to be told off which is a tactic I'm going to have to start employing before too long I think!

Ah well, at least we'll have no shortage of tall people to pass us things from high shelves eh Annie

GoldenSnitch · 29/09/2009 19:39

I was told all the way through my pregnancy with DS that I didn't look pregnant from behind Sparkly. Still had a boy

Apparently, I look the same this time too

sparklycheerymummy · 29/09/2009 19:58

i have absolutely no preference to what i have. my dp has 2 big grown up boys and i have a gorgeous dd so who cares!! is there some link between family history and sex though..... my dp is one of 3 boys and has 2 boys himself???? a few people have joked..... oooohhhh you sure there is only one in there!!!! i am 31.5 weeks pregnant..... think i would know if there was 2..... so what they were basically saying was i am large...... even some maternity clothes dont fit and as for my booooobbbbbssss they are HUGE..... if i do manage to breastfeed i am sure i will smother it with them!

GoldenSnitch · 29/09/2009 20:10

I had no preference, was quite happy either way, but found out so we could halp prepare DS and save ourselves half of the headache of choosing names.

The sonographer said it was a girl and we were happy - why do people have to argue?

OP posts:
AmazingBouncingFerret · 29/09/2009 20:13

Shape wise im exactly the same as when I was pregnant with DS, slightly larger this time round though. I have quite a few looks of suprise when I tell people when im due but equally ive just had one of my mums friends say I dont look big at all.
I personally feel bigger because I seem to be shrinking everywhere else but thats due to me being unable to stomach eating in the morning and the evening! So if anyone says im big I just reply with "neh its just my arms and legs getting thinner!"

sparklycheerymummy · 29/09/2009 20:14

i knew with my dd and just wanted to see what it was like to not know and thought it might stop me buying quite so much stuff!!!! choosing names was a headache ao you do right GoldenSnitch. what do they argue about though????

GoldenSnitch · 29/09/2009 20:18

I'm carrying far too low for it to be a girl apparently.

OP posts:
sparklycheerymummy · 29/09/2009 20:21

i see!!! people ask if i know what i am having..... i just say.... 'a baby'just shown my dd some pictures on babycentre about what the baby looks like now...... she is totally amazed!

LaDiDaDi · 29/09/2009 20:38

Ignore the silly women GS.

Milliemuffin · 29/09/2009 21:11

How many posts in one day!

I'm carrying low with this one whereas was high with DS but some people have said that's cos my muscles aren't what they were with DS so who knows...

Hi Lee, is this your first child? Do you know what you're having? Let us know and we'll add you to the list unless you want you to find it yourself on the previous page. Congrats on your pregnancy btw xx

Ravgirl · 29/09/2009 21:59

Hi everyone,

I haven't posted for ages & hope everyone is doing fine.

I've been feeling dreadful for the last 4 weeks or so, I keep fainting and feel really sick for about the first 2 hours every day - is this unusual? I didn't get morning sickness in the first trimester so am surprised to be feeling so rotten now.

Any ideas about why I'm feeling so rough and is there anything I can do to feel any better?

Thank you!
