Ravgirl, could it be low blood pressure? That's how I feel a lot of the time too!

GS, my bumps have got lower each time, it's because my muscles are knackered!

madmissy · 29/09/2009 22:30

i'm hanging low too lol
was also told i have a roomy uterus
had 4d scan earlier though and hes perfect

AmazingBouncingFerret · 30/09/2009 07:57

My bump's slightly lower but that could be due to the nice comfortable layer of flab that ive been carrying since I had DS!

GoldenSnitch · 30/09/2009 08:17

Ravgirl, I was feeling dizzy and sick a lot of the time too. Doctor did a full blood count anf it turned out I had low iron. Tablets are making me feel better.

I have one of those layers of flab too ABF and shot tummy muscles - must be why this baby is so low.

BexJ78 · 30/09/2009 13:32

hi all

i am also carrying low and i think due to general fatness!! ha ha!

Scorps · 30/09/2009 14:28

Had MW today, baby measuring 29 weeks at my 27+5, so very happy (i was worried cos of stress but MW says baby v happy).

DH is 6'3, I am nearly 5'10 so we have great big long babies

Stigaloid · 30/09/2009 14:42

I am absolutely exhausted today. I feel like i am walking through tracel with a head of cotton wool and just want to sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep. I can't believe how tired i am. I shouldn't be in the office but struggled in anyway as my boss is away for the rest of the week so knew he would want me in. He is pretending i am fine, even though i look like hell. I got really bad cramp down my entire left leg earlier and was in agony hobbling around my desk for 10 mins trying to make it stop hurting. His response? 'i'm a bit peckish - i'm going to get something to eat' and then ran out! Pah! I am too good to him. Next time i am too tired to function i am staying in bed and he can worry about his own business seeing as he doesn't seem to care that i am a human being and having a bad day.

(and relax. pregnancy hormones )

jumblies · 30/09/2009 16:27

Hi ladies,

Keep meaning to post but my dd (2yrs old) doesn't seem to give me a second to myself at the moment and I could really do with one as am sooo tired at the moment, don't remember this the first time round

Talking of measurements and height etc. I am only 5ft1, DH is 6ft2 and our DD measured 57cm at birth and was 7lbs 13 oz. Therefore I am thinking that this little chap is going to be even longer which explains why a woman looked shocked when I said I had 3 months left to go with this pregnancy...I guess I am looking like a baby elephant

I am carrying this baby pretty much the same way as I did the last which is very high up, I don't think I dropped till the day I gave birth which makes breathing quite a pain but means I don't tend to waddle too much.

Is anyone finding it tough physically juggling a toddler who wants to be carried with a growing bump...I am having to be quite firm with DD and tell her that she either walks or sits in the pushchair as she keeps demanding to be carried and I just can't do it anymore.

I am on the hunt for books to read to 2 yr olds about aquiring a new sibling...does anyone have any recommendations?

HOpe everyone is feeling good, next time I will read the thread properly and respond individually but haven't got the energy at the mo

jumblies - try 'Mummy laid an egg'. My youngest is only 17 months, so she doesnt really understand at all about bumps and me being too big to pick her up, etc.

LittleMonkeysMummy · 30/09/2009 19:03

Jumblies,
My DD is 19m and I bought there's a house inside my mummy by the guy that does purple ronnie, I also got waiting for baby and a new baby by Annie Kubler. They're nice as they're picture books so you can just talk about what they notice that night!
Am also knackered this time round but I think it's just running around after a wee one. SPD doesn't help mind you

GoldenSnitch · 30/09/2009 19:47

We have There's a House Inside my Mummy too and DS really likes it. We got given The Baby by India Knight too which is fun to read

OP posts:
LaDiDaDi · 30/09/2009 20:36

Another owner of "There's a house inside my mummy" here. We've also got a lot of Topsy and Tim books and there are two that deal with babies "The New Baby" and "The Big Surprise".

GoldenSnitch · 30/09/2009 20:47

We got the Topsy and Tim New Baby one but DS wasn't impressed. Maybe it's cause I don't like it and therefore don't read it with any enthusiasm

OP posts:
LaDiDaDi · 30/09/2009 21:18

Well dd complains that the mummy who takes T&T home at the end of the book isn't really their mummy as she doesn't look like her.

I've just been trying on my mamas and papas clothes that arrived today. I lovely lacey knit wrap but it's really far too itchy for my skin so will be going back, a brown top that is a nice style but the clour makes me look ill, a hideous painters smock/tent and a short sleeved funnel neck cardi whichI can't decide if I like or if I think it looks like I just grabbed a blanket from a passing Mexican and threw it around me. So one possible item out of four ordered! Mor on-line browsing needed.

Milliemuffin · 30/09/2009 21:21

I've also got "There's a house inside my mummy" and my DS (2.3) loves it aswell. He points to mummy, daddy, baby and sees the little boy as himself which is good.

I'm relieved that others are struggling to cope with toddlers aswell, not necessarily struggling as such but it's definitely playing on my mind, not looking forward to december at all

Mummy laid an egg is great.... mw and my dd who is 7.5 after being a bit more grown up and talking sensibly about how babys were made..... i told her the facts in an age appropriate way and she just said..... oh so is that why are bodies are that shape so we can fit inside each other and make babies. have to say i found it hard to be so up front but it worked. she also understands not to mention all the facts to her friends who might not want their children to know yet!

GoldenSnitch · 30/09/2009 22:08

DH has just got back from his parents house and has announced that for thier 40th wedding anniversary, his parents will be paying for us, both his sisters and thier families and themselves to go somewhere abroad for two weeks!! That's 8 adults and 7 kids! We only have to pay for food!

It was thier idea. It's been talked about for years but I never thought it would happen. Now all we need to do is find somewhere we want to go in August next year!

Am in shock!

GS - Oh that sounds lovely!! I want to go back to France, haven't been for a year already now. Will go somewhere all together next year, we are thinking villa in Spain.

My local baby shop has an offer on P&T for a week. The paper says 15%, i rang and the lady said 10% , but anyway, counting on 10% off, that makes the Sport, Double kit, Cocoon and raincover a round £400. Going to raid the pennies this weekend, seems to good to let go! Plus its a local shop, so can take it back if anything wrong etc, and no wait for delivery as they have full stock there.

I fancy some new maternity clothes, i have my eye on a mothercare a-line denim dress. Not going to buy much more though, as last baby and only 12 weeks to go anyway. I am always back in non maternity the same week i give birth anyway, so not much point at all.

GoldenSnitch · 01/10/2009 13:29

I've said anywhere but France Scorps. As a child, that's the only place we ever went, until I was old enough to be shipped off to PGL on my own - in France!

So, until I met DH, that was the only place abroad I'd ever been! We've always done those 'couldn't do this with kids' trips too (Borneo, Kuala Lumpur, driving round America, romantic week in Prague) so somewhere like Portugal or Spain seems very exotic to me.

Kiddicare.com are doing the Sport, Double kit, Cocoon and Raincover for £399.84. I got a local shop to price match - you should ask if your place can do the same, can't hurt to mention it.

Fed up today cause DH has lost his wedding ring. I know it's only a ring but they've always felt irreplacable to me so I'm a bit heartbroken

BlueChampagne · 01/10/2009 13:31

Just back from 30 week scan because I measured small for dates when I last saw MW. Pleased to say that my instincts were correct: baby slap bang in middle of growth charts, just neatly packaged. Suits me fine! DH and DS got to see 'baby on the telly' but DS was more interested in trying to escape and so DH too busy fielding to get to see much.

Scorps · 01/10/2009 13:32

Oh i didn't know it was that cheap on kiddicare, hmm. Just with buggy buying and Xmas i have so much money to spend in the next 12 weeks. Also have to save for DH being off work (is self employed) over Xmas/postnatal period.

GoldenSnitch · 01/10/2009 13:34

Oh and very that you get back into non maternity clothes within a week of giving birth Scorps!

Took me months last time!

And I only just got back to my pre-pregnancy weight before I got pregnant this time!
