Hi all sorry I havent got on today, had another busy tired exhausting day. Dh's school is still closed tomorrrow - he is so lucky! 4 snow days is taking the mick!

Just quickly - I am with you on GF routines Diege - I know far too many people that have used the routines that has been a success not to give it a go. I have read two of her books cover to cover and am all set for a GF baby

Its too late for me to get on FB tonight but will try and get on tomorrow and accept people into group.

Pic on FB group was DH's idea - I just googled wagon baby

Nite all

Blimey you lot can natter! I've been lurking all day but haven't had much time to post, Welcome along STT, I'm sure you'll enjoy it here

LB your list looks good, the only other thing I'd add is some sort of squash to make the water more drinkable, I'm used to Britta and was most put out by the hospital tap water![snob]. I hope your DP sees sense soon, what a horrid thing for him to say. I hope you get to the root of the problem so you can both sort it for good.

Good going on your cleaning Ses - I'm impressed! Can I have a copy of your spreadheet so we can do our house to your standards too??

GYo, get trumping those pains out!

I wonder what Astarte's up to, only 13 hours and 11 minutes for her prediction to come true..............

lardybump · 05/02/2009 07:44

Good morning ladies...... DD has had me up since the crack of dawn so thought I would nip on and say hello...

I have doctor this afternoon to get results of swab and then to midwife where I am going to push for early induction again. Went to the park yesterday and after 5 mins my pelvis felt like it had fallen apart and I had to sit in the car..... I am over 37 weeks now so hope she says she will refer me now.....

kayzr · 05/02/2009 08:21

Morning,

LB, I hope your results come back clear and that the MW will refer you.

I'm going to take DS2 to be weighed today. He hasn't been weighed in about 5 weeks. He is sleeping well and seems to be growing so I'm sure he is doing fine.

We finally found DS1's red book yesterday. He didn't weigh DS2's birth weight until he was 7 weeks old!!

OP posts:
Astarte · 05/02/2009 08:47

I have visited the fb page and at Moos and me being dim.

Nothing doing here....

What have I predicted for 13 hours' time? I'm slightly nervous I'll be in trouble somehow.

LB do get some Arnica tablets, it is absolutely fantastic for managing any swelling. List looks good.

I did GF for Dd1, worked a treat. Tried for Ds1 failed miserably. Went AP route for Ds2 and will see what happens for this one.

I do think GF is a good thing for first-time mums because I found it hard to know what my instincts were, if that makes sense. I didn't have any and needed telling what to do

Astarte · 05/02/2009 08:51

Sorry should've added welcome to SparklyTwinkleToes (nice name)

Good luck for today LB. I'm off to look at teddies....

idreamofbeanie · 05/02/2009 08:53

Woo hoo - six weeks today and (as far as I know) all going well. I can't believe I only got my BFP 2.5 weeks ago, surely it's been months! The next 6 weeks are going to go slowly - that'll teach me to test so early.

LB - hope the midwife refers you, it sounds like you are having a really tough time of it.

Good luck with the weighing Kay.

Right off to eat a slice of toast very slowly and see if that gets rid of nausea for an hour or 2.

tinkisluvingbeingamummyagain · 05/02/2009 09:21

morning

have had a scatterinh of snow overnight
dd2 slept well again woke @ 12:30pm as didnt take much milk @ 11am and then woke @ 3am then 7am.

dd1 didnt weigh dd2s birth weight till 6 weeks.

Diege · 05/02/2009 09:39

Morning!! LOts of snow here and it's still falling - slipped all over the place taking dds up to school, but didn't actually fall. Think the chances of falling onto tummy aree pretty remote anyway, but still very nervous on those pavements!
Could someone please tell me how to get an invitation onto the wagoneer's facebook site?? Can't see what I need to do .
KAYZ, think it was you who asked about places to eat in York? To be honest we always go to the same place, usually at lunchtimes (and I can't for the life of me remember it - Harveys or Bentleys or something like that! - lovely homemade stuff, but probably not what you're looking for if you want soemthing special and in the eve. I think there is an Est Est Est close to the station which (I find) is always good, but aparty from that not much help I'm afraid!).
Right, really must get on today. Hope everyone is well. Oh and LB, second what ASARTE says about arnica - a godsend for me too!

lardybump · 05/02/2009 09:42

Ladies i am trying to get a long sleaved top or tshirt for dd sayint I am the Big Sister or something like that. I can only find ones done in america so would have to pay shipping which makes the tshirt over £20. Any ideas where i can get one over here????

Thanks for the advise re arnica will get some today...

Diege · 05/02/2009 09:49

Think from memory Jojo maman bebe does (or did) them LB Might be worth checking out their website.

lardybump · 05/02/2009 09:56

thanks diege i will do that...

Diege · 05/02/2009 10:01

Hmm, can't seem to find them on there LB, although it might be worth giving them a ring as I'm sure that was where I got dd1's big sister t-shirt from. Think they're called sibling t-shirts.

kayzr · 05/02/2009 10:12

I got DS1's from Blooming Marvellous which is no help as they have gone bust.

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 05/02/2009 10:14

Morning

Diege- you are already on the wagoners FB group unless there is another one?

Fortunately pains last night subsided- phew!
But that weird turning thing that happened the other day might have been the baby dropping down further as I now have a huge gap between my boobs and bump and I've just eaten huge bowl of porridge without heartburn (yet!)

Once baby has dropped does it really feel like you have a lot of pressure in pelvis? It all feels very low and heavy at the moment...

List looks good LB, I need to get some Arnica on recommedation here.... I've also seen recommendations for witchhazel for pouring on pads if sore and anusol!

Did have a good read but forgotten everything... will read again to check i've not missed anything major!

Ooh welcome STT

kayzr · 05/02/2009 10:17

Diege, if you click on the link I put up last night it will take you to the wagoners FB group.

Anyone know Birmingham New Street train station?

OP posts:
GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 05/02/2009 10:22

Sorry- dont know Birmingham at all....

are you working out route to crufts?

kayzr · 05/02/2009 10:31

I booked my tickets this morning and I have 12 minutes to get from one train to the next.

Apparently it is quite easy.

OP posts:
GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 05/02/2009 10:43

Hurray for booking tickets!

When is it taking place?

kayzr · 05/02/2009 10:53

It is the 5-8th March. I'm going on the Saturday 7th. I want to go on the Friday but the train tickets are twice the price of the Saturday.

OP posts:
Sparklytwinkletoes · 05/02/2009 11:02

Blimey, its taken ages for me to get on this morning, DP left to take DS to nursery this morning only to find they are closed, took him ages to get there and back. My boss (she's lovely) has said just to have a chill out day at home with DS so that's what I'm doing.

He's quite sleepy today though so hoping to have a big nap with him in a bit . Off to sort lunch out, no idea what I've got in!

Diege · 05/02/2009 11:11

That sounds a nice day Sparkly!
KAYZ, I know Birmingham Newstreet quite well, have changed trains there lots of times. It is a big station, and some of the platforms are quite spread out, but 12 minutes should be fine ulnless you have children/very heavy luggage with you!

lardybump · 05/02/2009 11:15

Right I am off now but will be back to let you know what happens at dr and midwife later...
