Oh and HAPPY BIRTHDAY Rosie!

happy birthday Rosie!

Astarte · 31/01/2009 11:15

It's officially February tomorrow

dinkystinky · 31/01/2009 11:16

Yeah well, its a short month - figure we can a day off January

God only knows how to do the linking of threads in this new lay out....

OP posts:
Astarte · 31/01/2009 11:22

Oh no, I didn't mean that .
It's more like FUCK it's officially February tomorrow, I need to get me head out of me arse!

thehouseofmirth · 31/01/2009 11:27

Right, have posted link on old thread.

Happy birthday Rosie. Glad you're being spoiled!

Dinky your journey sounds delightful. Just to clarify, was MIL also covered in chunder?

Idbi - your photos are fab - you all look lovely, but you might want to update your profile. You seem to be in denial about having children despite the photographic evidence...

Good luck to all those contracting. Am very jealous and think this one's gonna need so dynamite to get him out.

rosieposey · 31/01/2009 11:41

Thank you

Awww interflora have just been with the hugest bunch of red roses and 10 helium balloons with i love you on ... i knew there was a good reason why i married him

It is Feb tomorrow - its seemed like such a long 8/9 months for me (not sure about everyone else) and am so excited now babies are actually finally starting to arrive! Sending good labour vibes to all those waiting (except those booked in for cs's!)

dinkystinky · 31/01/2009 11:43

Yup, poor MIL was in the backseat so got hit by DS's expulsion... Good thing she dotes on DS!

Add to that the fact I was braxton hicking away for a good hour while we were stuck in traffic (though ladies with heated car seats I made an important discovery - they're BRILLIANT at scaring away braxton hicks; I dont think am even going to invest in a TENS machine - will just go sit in the audi for early labour )

IDBI - LOVELY photos. Glad the little one is doing well.

OP posts:
Calico1 · 31/01/2009 11:50

IDBI - your photos have made me weepy.....so lovely!

littleboyblue · 31/01/2009 11:50

Happy Birthday Rosie.

IDBI What lovely pics, they are both adorable!

thehouseofmirth · 31/01/2009 11:50

Dinky is he often car sick? We moved DS into front seat and he's been soooo much better.

idontbelieveit · 31/01/2009 11:50

Thanks THOM, have sorted it now i think!

dinkystinky · 31/01/2009 12:01

THOM - he used to chunder lots as a baby when in backwards facing car seat; doesnt normally chunder in car seat since going forward facing, but think the pesky cough he's got is aggravating his sickness reflexes (he chundered again after breakfast today). Fortunately my dad (and my mum) are both doctors and have confirmed it is just a post viral cough (which will sadly last for a few more weeks)...

spottyshoes · 31/01/2009 12:03

Oh how lovely Rosie. Happy birthday

Lol Astarte I thought that this morning too - eek! Sorry if I am being really ignorant but what was your username before?

@ the thought of Dinky sitting in her Audi in the middle of the night going 'oooooo heated seats' whilst the neighbours watch on!!

Gorgeous IDBI! Love the one of them kissing

Good thread title Dinky, very apt atm!

mumoverseas · 31/01/2009 12:04

no new babies yet then? so who will be next?

dinky, how awful for you. Bet you wish you were still at work

IDBI, what a lovely picture, must try to work out how to put piccies on here

Rosie, how lovely of your hubby, TEN balloons! I've just read that out VERY loudly to my DH (hint, hint) as he is home 'sick' (man flu)

Still fuming over the bullshit/blackmail going on here with consultant as its been confirmed again in the last few hours that our doctor is charging the extra. Will try to keep calm til we see him Tuesday and hope he says nothing and if so, will refuse to pay on the day (assuming he has got LO out first) If he does tell us on Tuesday we have to pay I'm hoping we will argue it but if he won't back down I'm tempted to insist someone else does the CS as I won't be blackmailed. Two of my friends told me this morning that they'd had this with the previous doctor, one got a phone call the week before from his PA telling them about the charge (she said to stuff it and had a normal delivery and refused to have him in the room) and the other was given a form to sign 2 weeks before without him explaining what it was and only when they read it did they find out about the charge. Arseholes! Sorry, very me, me, me post today but I'm so pissed that they are doing this at the last minute when they know we can't fly back to the UK or find someone else.

Hope you all have nice relaxing weekends and we have some new arrivals soon

mumoverseas · 31/01/2009 12:15

MrsY, just read and posted on your thread. xxx

dinkystinky · 31/01/2009 12:28

MoS - am truly shocked and appalled at consultants' behaviour over there! That surely cant be ethical!

Cocodrillo · 31/01/2009 12:34

Happy birthday Rosie. Your DH sounds lovely. Not holding my breath for similar treatment on Wednesday (my 35th - that's it, I'm middle-aged).

Wonder if there will be some new baby news by the end of the day?

Cocodrillo · 31/01/2009 12:37

Remind me how I decide what size maternity bra to order?

Are my norks going to inflate hugely when my milk comes in? One size up? Two sizes? What have you done?

Strangely have no memory from previous occasions.

Will check out your thread Mrs Y.

KT1983 · 31/01/2009 12:42

Happy Birthday Rosie - What a lovely suprise from your DH Have a great day.

Lovely pics IDBI Very cute

mumoverseas · 31/01/2009 12:48

dinky, you are so right, in the real world but this is Saudi!

am so pissed off am going to find some chocolate as have also been told by someone on compound who works at another hospital that some of the hospitals have apparently run out of the stuff they use for epidurals/spinals! WTF?

MamaGoose · 31/01/2009 13:24

mumoverseas - what a nightmare. I can't believe your consultant is behaving like that - that's shocking!
